Is bwaquatics.com Legit?

Fish came healthy and packaged great. I will say I ordered 2 males and believe i received a female. But she’s so cute i don’t care. My fish shipped out the Wednesday after ordering.

Really impressed with the speed and care they took to send the fish in a healthy way. They arrived healthy and alive, with beautiful coloration. If you are interested in wild type bettas, they are the place to go.

Bettas came in healthy. Took a minute for them to color up, but doing great. The male is getting more color everyday. The female settled right in. They are both out and about exploring their new home. I do wanna say BWA does a amazing job on their packaging... above and beyond!!!!! I'm waiting for a male Uberis West Kalimantan to come in for my female I got from them. You can trust them...I will always use them!!!!

Ordered from Florida and despite a day delay, both fish arrived alive and in good health. I will say, though, I would like the package to have more indications that it contains live animals and a strong "this side up", potentially in bright orange stickers that I've seen before when ordering fish from other companies- the fish were presented to me sideways at the pickup location, and the mail person tipped the box over on another of its sides to get a look at a label (while I was screaming internally thinking of the poor fish being washed around inside...) Both bags were also not fully inflated, and the corners were not taped- both of which are measures that can help keep the fish safer in transit. Overall though I would order from Blackwater Aquatics again, and recommend them as a supplier of species that can be difficult to find in the US.

I love BWaquatics. I’ve ordered from them at least 3 times now and every experience has been great. I’ve even been successful at breeding a pair of their API bettas.

I loved my two Antuta pair Male and female. Unfortunately after a day, the female found a way and jumped out the tank by the filter and passed away so it left her companion alone. Their fish are healthy gorgeous and beautiful. Spoiled because you can tell they were fed by a spoon or such lol. Cute but I am training him.to go catch your food. Another mote, the shipping took forever. I paid for next day and got my fish 4 days later. Was very unhappy about that. While they explained what happened (which has nothing to do with me, thus is a business and customers pay for what they want and expect) I felt I should've gotten my shipping fee reimbursed or something compensated for the time wasted. Next day means next day not 4 days later. Otherwise good company based put Cali, but I won't be ordering from them anymore because of the shipping.

I love the guys at BWAquatics. They're my number one choice for wild betta here in the US, and im a huge betta fish lover. Every time I have questions I'm always answered back with a very grateful response. Whether it's about care, medicine/treating, shipping, etc. Im always a very happy customer every time. They treat you well, and there fish are of best quality and care. Shout out to Anh and the othe other guys at BWAquatics! You guys are amazing! Keep up the good work. <3

Wonderful communication, colorful and healthy fish, and safe shipping. Unfortunately, some of the fish claimed to be stocked on the website weren’t available, however, support was quick to offer similar fish instead. Great experience overall, even if shipping fish is the most stressful thing ever! 9/10, would recommend!

This was my first time ordering from BW Aquatics and my first time ordering a fish online; overall I was really impressed with their service! I originally placed an order for an alien betta but I was informed that they were no longer available- no problem! I was offered a choice for a replacement fish for no additional cost. I ended up choosing a betta imbellis. I recieved the fish here in New York City and he was alive and healthy! After a few hours of acclimating and settling into the 5 gallon blackwater tank I had set up, he was already showing vivid colors. This is my first time purchasing a wild type betta after years of buying from pet shops and I'm never going back!

Great service as always. One of five fish was DOA which the gentleman offered to refund my money or give me credit. These people offer great service. Very helpful and get back to you in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.

When I purchased the bettas, the temperature in my area was too high for safe shipment. I contacted BW and they were quick to respond and hold the bettas until the temperature was more reasonable for shipping. Later, when I received the bettas, they were not in the best shape, but they recovered and are doing well now. I would recommend BW to others, and I will also purchase more from BW. I also like the details about each betta species that are on the website including the endangered status. Keep up the good work and stay authentic. I think your continued success will depend on being authentic about the fish you sell and not become like every other betta seller selling what i call "candy colors" of lots of low quality generic bettas.

Fish is coloring up beautifully and arrived healthy, safe and happy. Took maybe a week to get him used to pellets in addition to live. I think he ate all my shrimp so he definitely want going hungry!1000% worth paying 5x petxxx chain store prices for healthy beautiful fish that are well cared for.

I am impressed with the selection and web interface at BW Aquatics, and the streamlined purchasing experience. My only caveat was that with next day shipping, there wasn't much warning of when fish would arrive, once packed and ready. That just made it a little tough to make sure I was around to receive the animals. The fish I received were in good health and beautiful. A great resource for hobbyists! Overall, a good experience and would recommend for others.

BWA has exceptionally healthy fish, fast shipping, and excellent service! They go out of their way to provide the best care and information for the animals! Check out their YouTube page! Tons of information! They are the main source of my fish! I could write a novel on how well they treat the fish and their customers! I purchase from them regularly for years now. I never had an issue they didn’t promptly correct! Thank you Henry and Anh for providing a world class option for black water fishes!

I received four beautiful, healthy wild-type bettas from Blackwater Aquatics! I'm new to fishkeeping and had never ordered fish through the mail before. I really appreciated the transparency around their quarantine and shipping process. Also got lots of updates through the Shop app, so I was ready to take the fish right when their box arrived. And I learned a lot from reading the blog posts on the BWA website before I placed my order, so I was better equipped to help them settle in and color up once they arrived. One pair spawned only a week later! Super cool. I hope to order again soon.

Nice rare wild betta and arrived alive. But, required 2 weeks quarantine period before add to community tank. It's best used their medicated water bagged with the fish as long it's still work. Otherwise, you will need to find other medication for quarantine to replace the water. You can purchase velvet medication on their website. Shipping practices needed improvement.

It was amazing!!! From ordering to receiving my betta, I had a great experience. The communication was great. They responded very quickly to any questions I had and my fish arrived safe and sound❤️. I wish I could add pictures here because the bettas I received are BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you guys!!
