burnerapp.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives burnerapp.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 75.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 75.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to burnerapp.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning burnerapp.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between burnerapp.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of burnerapp.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of burnerapp.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. burnerapp.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether burnerapp.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether burnerapp.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, burnerapp.com.

This is a scam app. Text doesn’t work calling won’t work . Nobody will respond for any technical queries . Cheating !
I would have gave this app no stores but I had to give it one in order to write this review. At work good for the first week as I bought a monthly plan. After the first week the app quit working and I received no help from their customer support at all not one bit. I emailed their customer support and they told me basically everything I did uninstall the app and reinstall the app. That's all that they know to do and now they won't refund my money not only did I spend the $30 for a one month plan but I also bought credits which is what you have to buy if you want prepaid numbers also so all in all I spent damn near $50 for a one month plan and I did not receive any customer support due to all the problems I had with this at and they will not refund my money. I'm just going to let my bank handle it! Do not and I repeat do not waste your money unless you want to go through problems! There's a lot better phone apps out there just because this one is rated the highest one with the Stars and that's why I chose it I found it to be the most problems! I'm going to guess it's the company that had all their employees post all those reviews to get their ratings or review up! I found a better app as when you call the phone number that you are calling that they give you all the information that you want about that phone number as far as the people's name address and anything else! The better phone app I found is called phoneer. Don't waste your time with Burner phone up!
I don't know why people are giving this burner app negative reviews. The platform is user-friendly, service is good. That's why I gave it a 5 star feedback. All VOIP services have interruptions and dont work on occasion. Burner App claims they believe in terms of privacy, I don't know why I have to link a real phone number or email address, instead or a user name, password ?HOPEFULLY BURNER APP WILL SEE THIS REVIEW AND REMOVE GMAIL AND YOUR REAL PHONE NUMBER. ie; website, allow anomonous crypto bitcoin purchasing.
On their website, the "support" link on their homepage links to a "page not found" message. There is no "contact us" or any other way to get help. I signed up for an account and gave my payment info, then didn't receive the verification code, and now I have no way to contact them to either get a number or cancel my account.
Hi I downloaded the app with a trial and now am entirely unable to cancel my subscription. I have didn’t the last hour trying to figure it out because deleting the line is a built-in distraction made to trick you into believing you’ve deleted the app. If you really search, you get an email address you need to contact to cancel, but after THREE misdirecting emails about how NOT to cancel, they tell me I need to cancel manually. They then point me to directions that they obviously know don’t work: just click “cancel subscription”!!! There’s no such option. I genuinely wonder how much money they’re making on people who just give up. Do not install this app
Subscribed to their service and picked a number. After giving it to folks, later found out the number didn’t work because they didn’t own it. They couldn’t refund me for the time I was paying after admitting they gave me a non-working number.
I just purchased a burner number and in just couple of hours I get locked and it makes me curious so I want you to help me do something over it
Burner App Review: Have been using this app for almost 2 yrs, but use has been minimal. Up until a year ago, I didn't experience any issues. Recently, the service has been MALFUNCTIONING on a regular basis; callers can't leave a voicemail message, and I can't answer a burner call. Contacting customer service is a joke, they give you the same canned response each time. Even if you experience persistent issues, don't expect them to call you to actually resolve the problems. If you were to be a daily active user with this app, you're in for a 12-hour headache every day.Avoid this app at all costs, I'll be dropping the service asap, and would rather pay more for something that actually works. They also billed me in advance of my renewal date - completely unethical. They obviously make operating changes, but don't inform their customers of those changes. As far as I'm concerned they engage in theft and false advirtising. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on something that doesn't work!
After subscribing to Burner for over 3 years, with no notice or explanation, they deactivated my account and blocked me from using the service. When I contacted them I was told they identified my account as “likely to be engaged in abusive behavior” and that it is in their sole discretion to do this, there is no appeal process.I am retired and use the service just to protect my privacy and not receive spam/sales email. I have no idea what Burner’s issue is. I regret ever purchasing a service that treats its customers in such a way. It is unconscionable. Please ensure that if you use Burner you are prepared to accept that one day out of the blue they will just terminate you with no explanation.
For the last 4 days I cannot access my burner app. Instead when I open the app I get a Frozen photo of a phone. I have been using this app for a couple of years and I pay the yearly subscription fee. I like to have an extra line until I know a person or company well enough to add to my regular phone line. That being said, it crashed the other night and I couldn't contact people waiting for me for dinner. It is still down and though it's been 4 days and I have sent numerous emails and left voice messages. I have no reply. Over the years it's been adequate as an extra line for sales people, but you can never hear the voice messages and it only keeps a few months of text messages.Right now I have several people waiting for me to get back to them and I have no way to access their phone number because it's in the burner app not on my regular line. Let's see if this gets a reply but I'm not holding my breath.
They are scammers. will keep on charging your card even after you cancel your subscription. avoid the hassle.
If you did not get a number with them yet, do NOT! The app used to be better, they had some sort of upgrade - maybe the company was sold? a) Now you cannot see past 7 days of history in your texts! Their answer "this is a known issue. Our engineers are currently working on a fix for this, but we don't have an exact ETA for when we'll have the fix available." b) They use to have a connection over to my Gdrive and copy everything, texts, contacts, etc. Very helpful if you need your info in a searchable way. Their reply "Due to low usage and high maintenance costs, we no longer maintain any of our integrations or connections." AND they raised their monthly prices.c) Customer support is the worst, they kept my money for a phone line I mistakenly put under my account. Noticed the same day, they claim they would do a refund if I can give them a receipt from google play, gave them all I could even the email they sent me saying "thank you for your payment" but never got that back, that was not proof, a copy of my Amex bill not proof, I asked them to see their system...nope.Slowly looking to replace them.....
I used the Burner app for around five years and the only advice I can give it to NOT use it. They have a dirty little secret I guess they don’t want people to know. They monitor their customer’s communications. What’s worse is if their algorithms detect something it thinks is unusual they will deactivate your account, you lose the number you were using and also your text history. I had this happen to me. I used the service for somewhere around five years. Then I needed to use the app a lot more for a short period where I was sending a large number of messages to a small number of people. Next thing I knew the account was deactivated with no explanation. Apparently their algorithm decided I was sending spam, which I was not, and shut down my account. I reread their terms of use just to make sure there was not something I was not aware of but I could also find no justification in their terms of use. It appeared to be just an arbitrary action by whatever they use to monitor customer’s communications. They were being paid to provide a service, not to snoop in my communications. Plus even so, they should at least tell me what the problem was. I guess they can’t tell people without also admitting that they monitor people’s texts. There are plenty of second number phone apps out there, many of which also cost less to use. Granted, I don’t know of these other apps also snoop in people’s texts, but I can tell you if you value your privacy you definitely want to avoid Burner.
App is terrible. Wont load all messages on a chat thread. Will only load 1st page of saved conversations. Their support is a joke..
i had a single line and the phone stopped working so i got another phone only i have still been charged for 3 months on a burner that i quit the way i was suppose to from my bank account and my new burner number also being charged and it wont even let me use the number i am suppose to have 3 lines and i only had 1 line the first month for and went to try to get another number and it wont even let me but they keep charging my bank account when i cant even use a burner number i have contacted them over and over and over . I must be raisng someone else kid or somethimg this is so fraudulent i am going to report them I would never reecomend them as it cost me money and they dont even provide the service
Very bad application. Scam comany.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
