Bristol City Council Refuses to Address Safety Issue on Their Land.I’m extremely frustrated with Bristol City Council’s handling of a safety issue on their land. Behind our house, there’s an old garage site that’s no longer in use. It’s completely overgrown with brambles and vegetation, making it impossible for us to access our property as stated in our deeds. We’ve already contacted the Council and sent two letters of complaint, but nothing has been done.In addition to this, there’s an electricity substation on the same land, and it too is completely surrounded by brambles. The other day, I noticed a burning smell near the substation and called the Council to report it. However, they told me I needed to contact the National Grid. I explained that the issue is on Council-owned land and that it’s their responsibility to clear the area for safety reasons. Despite this, the Council representative was rude, unhelpful, and even threatened me by saying that because I was now aware of the situation, it was my responsibility to deal with it.It’s incredibly frustrating that the Council refuses to take responsibility for safety concerns on their own property.

Number 1 in the phone queue and they didn't answer on 3 separate times. I was trying to find out about roadworks as it would be blocking my driveway, the signs say commencing today (was meant to be yesterday) so i am hesitatant to take my car out incase i cant get back in. When i got through (eventually) all I got was "its imminent, but also weather dependent" ! It is little wonder that Bristol has been voted one of the worst cities to live in.

Just tried to pay one off Council Tax. The online payment system didn't work because it asks for an Invoice Number which is not given on the bill and when I entered the Accout Number it was rejected. I then went to automated phone payments and the robot wouldn't accept the amount I had to pay which was correctly entered using a star between pounds and pence which is ridiculous.

Bristol Council are scammers. Just been caught with clean air scam. No warning signs on the m4/m5 warning motorists going to Bristol Airport.Bristol airport has just lost future business from me and I am a frequent flyer (only once from Bristol & now the last) .

Bristol Council operate a CAZ that is a cynical toll on through traffic. It does not reduce pollution because through traffic has nowhere to go to avoid the polluted areas. It is also unfair on motorists from Wales. Also it os 'not possible' to refund tolls that proved unnecessarily paid for. Also if 12midnight passes a second toll is levied. Just a cynical money-grubbing tactic, probably outsourced to an agent company

Disgusting place. Rips off motorists passing through that had no idea about the clean air zone. Car is good enough for ulez London but not Bristol. No chance to pay in arrears, just sting you with a fine right off the batI'm never going to Bristol again to spend my money. Absolute rip off merchants. Absolute Disgusting money grabbing pigs.

Brought a car and drove it home 6 weeks later a CAZ Fine comes through my door, no warning about the charge no toll to pay roadside yet I'm fined for not knowing anything about it, bristol has always been a dump and now Its confirmed. I do about 2,000 miles a year in a car yet people who drive all year round don't get extra charges this goverment, the councils, all treat criminals and asylum seekers with more respect than the people who live here. I'll sell the car now cause its pointless driving in a country where the residents get screwed at every corner.

Completely useless on all levels. 2 elected mayors keen on vanity projects which cost us millions and millions. From the disastrous energy project, to the Beacon via the Arena that never happened it's aembarrassingly awful. Plus they bullied SEND parents and closed all the public loos and the egotistical mayor opened an office in China I think . Arms length management of waste collection and house building disastrous. Endless blocks of student housing going up at the rate of knots whilst the housing waiting list grows exponentially. Plus students and use council services but pay no council tax.

THERE IS A RAT INFESTATION IN THE HARTCLIFFE BS13 AREA! THE USELESS BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL ARE FULLY AWARE, THEY HAVE BEEN SENT VIDEOS, AND PICTURES OF THE PROBLEM. BUT AS USUAL WITH A COUNCIL THAT ONLY FEATHERS “ITS OWN FAT CAT WAGES NEST” AND ANY MONEY FOR A BIG GREEN BIN TO REPLACE THE BIN WITH A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM THAT THE RATS HAVE BEEN USING AS A FOOD STATION FOR MONTHS IS NOT AVAILABLE. BCC ARE SELFISH, SELF CENTERED, MONEY GRABBING POSERS ( just look at our mayor for proof) NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

Touched the clean air zone for 200m ( didn't know) paid the £60 fine but apparently late another £139 later guess what Bristol I wont be coming again not even by train or to out of town. Council just money grabbing !!!

Was looking forward to visiting this city but what a disappointment. Dirty, rubbish everywhere and graffiti all over the place. The harbour side was a real let down, such potential but mingin’. For such an affluent area, where does all the money go? Starting to wonder if I may have needed jabs. Poor residents.

Bristol councillors Take a look at your trustpilot reviews and do the decent thing and ***KING resign. £189 PCN to drive through the City No signage on approach, no honest appeal procedure.. Fascist behaviour that would make Putin wince.. Thanks for stealing food off my family's table. It will be a cold day in hell before I visit Bristol again. ***K YOU!

Just thought I'd write this to thank Rob the receptionist at Bristol City Council. He went above and beyond to help with my query, nothing was too much trouble. Well done for employing friendly, helpful staff - makes such a difference to talk to real people instead of chatbots!!

I very rarely go or need to go into the city centre. But unfortunately today was one of those days. But I was absolutely shocked at the amount of empty shops where businesses had closed down. Yet there is new building work going on everywhere. I find it really disturbing that there has been peoples livelihoods ruined and yet there is money being wasted on new building work. The council clearly have there priorities wrong here, would it not be better to support the existing community and companies than invest in new, particularly considering the 18 months that we have all encountered.

If I could put zero I would.Clean Air Zone charges - i pay now I know, but no sympathy given that the first time it happened I had no idea - Not from Bristol - I appealed, but apparently I should have seen the signs among all of the road layout changes while trying to navigate my way through.Its implying I deliberately lied - How dare they!!Never going to the PMT Music store in Bristol againDecent City ruined by an awful Council with a disdain for good honest people

Very disappointing council. They don’t care about congestion they’re trying to make money off of us. If they really did care about the city’s congestion then they wouldn’t have unnecessary temporary traffic lights around. For example, the bottom of Stoke Lane has had temporary traffic lights for about 6 months now. No maintenance work has taken place at all within those 6 months. They’re just trying to spend the rest of their budget on pointless work that’s ultimately ruining this city. If there’s one thing I could change about this city, it’d be the council.

Horrible experience! The looks of disgust on the front desk CSA’s face was clearly one of a pure racist or someone who hates their life. Also housing advisor Rebecca Slade sat at a desk 5 metres away from us but instead of coming over to speak to us she phoned us to say ‘I’ll call you at 9am tomorrow with an offer of emergency accommodation’ (liar!)…… that shows me she has no respect and clearly thinks that we are so BELOW her that she won’t even walk 5 steps to inform face to face.HOMELESSNESS TEAM did not reply to 8 emails and cannot be contacted on phone. SHAME ON YOU!!!

These people continue to use harsh chemicals which is harming vulnerable people in council accommodation. They refuse to stop harming people even after they have been told they are harming people. They ignore people's human rights.

Hadn't been to Bristol before. Followed Google map through city. Stuck to main roads. Didn't realise I was passing through clean air zone. Fined £140 which will go towards virtue signaling middle class southerners.
