boots.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives boots.co.uk a medium-high trust score on the platform: 70.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 70.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to boots.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning boots.co.uk, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between boots.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of boots.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of boots.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. boots.co.uk is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether boots.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether boots.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, boots.co.uk.

After a long holidays, I stopped by Boots and decided to grab some perfume for myself. When I came to the ti, I saw only one employee in the fragrance. I waited 8-10 minutes to be served because of the large number of customers in front of me. Keep in mind that during peak hours, Boots need to take care of the number of employees. When I waited for my turn, I asked the girl who was selling for help with choosing Miss Dior perfume. The girl could not manage to open the glass door for 2 minutes. Despite this, the girl was so polite and kind. When she opened the glass door, she helped me choose perfumes for me and recommended her perfume options, I liked some of them and took them to my daughter. I appreciate it. Later it turned out that she was Ukrainian, I started talking to her but she went because of the number of customers at the till. More customer service is needed during peak hours
Ordered a large number of items for work colleagues for Xmas Nov 21st. On delivery box damaged by Royal Mail, numerous items missing. Contacted Boots customer service. Shocking level of service offered still waiting to have products sent out even when they have been paid for Hiding behind very lengthy processes. Unable to speak with any managers as blocked each time. I will never use online from Boots again. Shocking will be up to 3 weeks for items to be sent and very near xmas.
I went to the Middlesbrough Cleveland boots store to purchase some perfume I have seen on line at £63.99 Jean Paul Gaultier la belle in the sale that showed stock, I was told that in store the price is £72.99 A lovely lady said she could reduce the price and then she was over ridden by another colleague, very embarrassed for her. I'm told boots do not price match their own on line offers The Web did not state this was on on line offer it was a black Friday offer. The service was embarrassing and very unprofessional
I call into clydebank boots To buy deal on black opium perfume today and have to say David gave outstanding customer serviceEven he was short staff David took extra care to order my perfume online ,#, tills and was excellent sales personThank you for outstanding customer service David I'm over the moon so happy Thank for take time to order for me Dorothy Reid
Ordered an mens aftershave giftset on the 30/10/24. Received the ladies perfume giftset on the 02/11/24. Advised Boots immediately and was told to send the item back. Now on the 02.12.24, despite chasing up to 10 times and being told it will take 14 working days to sort. Still no correct item or refund. This is well over the 14 days. I strongly suspect that it is a bot sending out automated replies to customer emails. Get it sorted Boots.... give my money back and treat your customers better This error was purely down to Boots and the reluctance to sort the issue is disgraceful
Staff don't seem interested in the customers at all.Popped in to get some new baby essentials for my new niece, needed help as I'm not a mum myself. Staff almost felt like they wanted to avoid helping.
Please any potential customers of Braun shavers , please read reviews of this product before purchasing. The product is of appalling quality and not fit for purpose and is a complete waste of money.Do not buy.
I would like to congratulate the staff at Boots in Merseyway, Stockport, for their fantastic service. I have found all of them to be very pleasant and helpful. One lady in particular, Sandra, went above and beyond to assist me. She not only showed me where to find everything I needed but also took the time to explain which vouchers to use and when. I want to extend a big thank you to Sandra for making my shopping experience at Boots truly memorable.(P.S. Your nails looked beautiful!)*Estimated date*
Emailed customer services to ask why there are never any envelopes to send off 35mm film in their Taunton store. The reply came back stating ' we cannot assist with individual purchases made in store. Go back to store with receipt'.
Customer service advisor was awful, instead of logging a complaint kept arguing with me over why my order that was placed for next day delivery didn't arrive and saying there is accountability on boots to make sure item arrives. If im extra for next day sorry some accountability does come back on boots and not just royal mail. ( Lucky for royal mail their phone lines closed early on the weekend).
Poor Company to deal with, order Christmas presents over Black Friday they decided to cancel my order as I failed their “internal validation checks” I have their app and I had to verify using a code sent to my phone. I contacted both Customer Service on the phone and they told me they couldn’t tell me why I had failed and I should go to the shop and buy the present I wanted. I emailed Customer Service asking for reason why I had failed and once again was told it was Internal Checks and they couldn’t tell me. Very poor service, I won’t be going into Store. I will shop with another company for my Christmas presents.
Boots has been letting us down lately. It has become common for us to have to wait several days to receive our medications. Now very often we receive the following message: "We've received your prescription. Please wait & we'll notify you when it's ready."Sometimes we wait up to 6 days to receive our medicines and Boots doesn't even give us the option of having our prescriptions so we can try to get our medications from other pharmacies.
Not particularly well-packaged. Delivered several days earlier than expected - which is actually a problem when you plan to receive the package. Website is pretty flaky - hard to register, doesn't work properly in Safari, regular requests for SMS verification, even though I checked "don't ask me again on this computer" (and, no, I hadn't cleared cookies or anything). They decreased the price of the product after I ordered it, which I know sometimes happens but seemed disingenuous. Customer service doesn't care when you email them - they just use template replies.
Terrible service. I ordered some stuff online for my holidays in the summer. Due to arrive the Sunday and I was going on the Tuesday. On the Sunday only 1 out of 9 items arrived with the further 8 due on the Tuesday 🤦Obviously they were going to arrive whilst I was away so they would be returned and I would get a refund.Unfortunately I ordered using virtual gift cards. I received a text message to say my order had been refunded on 17th August. I checked the gift cards and nothing had been put on them and there was nothing in my account. I've had back and forth conversations with 'customer services' but they say they emailed me a gift card. I've received nothing. I asked if they could send again as I've clearly not used the card, but now they are just ignoring me.Awful service 👎👎
Don’t price match online but you can order online and have it delivered to the store? Ridiculous policy. Ended up going to Argos next door and buying it from there.
Went shopping in Boots at Princess Alice Park Sutton Coldfield. Never again, not one checkout in the whole store, just 4 self-service tills, with 1 overworked staff. Absolutely disgusting that you have removed all checkouts. If this is boots idea of customer service it needs a rethink. Obviously no-one has given a thought to anyone who will not or can't use these self-service checkouts.
I've ordered many times from Boots. The service is now diabolical.I ordered items on Boots Tuesday £10 expecting them to be delivered end of the week. They haven't even been processed (this is Friday)After researching, the items are the same price on Amazon for next delivery despite their claims of huge discounts! It's a con.I tried to cancel my order (still not been processed) but apparently I have to receive it and send it back for a refund. I presume at my cost.If Carlsberg made customer service... It wouldn't be Boots.
I wish I could give it 0 stars. I booked an appointment with the pharmacy 1 week prior at the Birmingham New St branch. They sent me 6 reminder the day before and then on the evening send me an email to say thank you for cancelling your appointment,I did not cancel the appointment, I spend an hour on the phone calling the store and it was constantly saying we are busy and try again.Called customer service and the agent transferred me back to the engaged line.Called customer service again and got the usual reply, raised a complaint but it was pointless, didn’t care about my loss of income, time and holiday payment. Worst service ever, I think they cancelled do to Black Friday sales..
To start with my parcel arrived and one of the gift sets was completely soaked because one of the bottles didn’t have a lid on! I then sent this back asking for a replacement and it’s taken them over a month to process this, and I never even got a replacement I was issued a refund! They then removed the advantage card points as well despite none of this being my fault, I understand it’s not the people that work in the customer service team as they’re limited in what they can do but the general system is terrible! Over a month to issue a refund is a joke!
Excellent service from a lady called Gail at the Durham Arnison centre shop. Very professional and informative. A credit to Boots

“False Pretenses!”

Today in the Mail on Sunday Boots were offering a coupon for a free £27.50 face serum. Cut out the voucher and at is Sunday was at the 1st branch at 11.00am for opening. Guess What? No free serum available. Have been to 6 other branches with the same result. No free serum available. Is this pretense used in the hope that once we're in their shops we'll buy something. NO WAY, its just alienated another potential customer! Products used:None! Service Shipping

“The face mask I didn't know I was looking for!”

I bought Garnier's moisture bomb tissue mask for my sensitive skin. I purchased this from Boots for £1.99, this was the face mask I did not know I was looking! It does what it says on the tin, recently my skin has been looking dehydrated and after I used this mask, I noticed a difference in my skin, it looked more hydrated and felt revitalised. The packaging the face mask is in, is packed with so much moisture and the addition of pomegranate adds to the freshness and revitalising effect. This is a mask I will be adding to my collection for those pamper days. Service Value Shipping Quality

“Poor Service”

The delivery service is getting horrible with the the lesser of restrictions you would think they would be better they are not coming when they say they are I will not be shopping at Amazon anymore.

“Easy to use”

I find the site easy to use and it has so many different products. Plenty of choice in so many areas.

“Everything you need!”

I go to Boots for everything I need all in one place. What more can you ask for? Theyre fast n helpful.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
