Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

Most likely a scam. Ordered 2 bottles of a certain product (150$) claiming it would help with tinnitus, and received a completely different product with no benefits.

    1. Sheryl Thompson

Odered 2 bottles of cbd gummies with free shipping. When my confirmation order showed up there was a charge for extra stuff I didn't order rub, sleeping aid etc. not only that but they charged me for shipping. This is a scam.....big rip off. Tried cancelling no responses....

  2. Dave Paradis

Ordered a 3 pack of CBD, when I saw the charge it was double, with a few add on items I didn't want. Also, phone number disconnected, and another one I found - spent 10 minutes waiting for someone to pickup - during normal business hours - twice. Emailed them to cancel, received bogus shipping update shortly there after. Have my CC company engaged, they will handle it from here!! My recommendation is avoid.

    1. Francine Canfield

How do you get rid of the charges on your card?

    2. Attila Kiss

Yes, I got horrible experince with them in 2 days. They charged more than double the amount they were advertising for. Then next day they told me I will get a $110 US dollar refund but instead getting it, I was charged even more. The refund takes 7-10 days as they said. Then the shipping & tracking number was not good either to track it. I had so much trouble with them and they put me in hold even when they are checking your order and file. Who the hell are these scam people??? They should get a very bad reputation.

  3. Heidi Franke

I ordered CBD gummies from them in September. My order arrived within 7 days, along with a sample of CBD oil and CBD cream (which they didn't charge for, but I did get charged shipping fees for each). Then, just last week I received notification that my CDB oil was being shipped (at a charge of $101 US.) Then I got another charge for the CBD cream (again, around $101 US). As soon as I got the notification, asked them to cancel the order. I never heard back from them, but today I received a refund of $35 for the oil. I haven't received either product, just the charges for them. They did cancel my "subscription" for both, however, I never signed up for the subscription. This is such a total rip-off!!! I sent them a scathing email, outlining my complaints, plus I entered a "dispute" of the charges with my credit card company. I'm not holding out much hope of getting a reply from them. I keep clicking on the link to their website, but it can't be found. Lesson learned here.

Somethings fishy for sure, I too ordered CBD caps and got hemp dummies and 2 other products I did not order and was charged for, when there was no total cost or transaction record sent to my email and no actual confirmation after the transaction, red flag was up, so I immediately cancelled through my CC company, had to wait for a new card as now mine was disabled, which was another inconvenience, I contacted them and had a very snarky rude man who offered me everything a t 50% off to keep it...another flag, also was charged in US funds and it was sent from a Canadian company, they told me I'd need to pay a restocking fee of 20%, I needed to pay all shipping and return costs plus I needed to get a tracking # that needed to be emailed to them before they would refund me just100$ of my $163.50 in US Funds, tried contacting them again and number is not in service....BEWARE!!!!!SCAM!!

  4. Kelly

I can see I need to be a little more careful regarding sites like this. I tried numerous times to cancel and contact this business with no response. Avoid this site!

  5. Richard Lamb

I ordered CBD from this company. I did not receive a price until the next day, which was more than double the expected price, plus in US funds. When I phoned to cancel, I was told I could not and also had to pay the shipping because they included a promo offer. They charged me for the promotional products even when I said I didn't want them. The order took 3 weeks to arrive. It did not come from the US but from Canada. (Why did I have to pay in US dollars?) When it arrived the product was not the product I ordered. I was told that it was different labelling. It was labelled 'Hemp' with no indication of any CBD in it. I was then told I had to phone back on a certain date or else I would receive recurring monthly shipments. I did call and the product did absolutely nothing as they claimed. I was taken for $266. which was an expensive lesson. I believe the site is FRAUDULANT.

    1. Char

I just ordered there CBD and they doubled my order, and sending cream and oil that I did not order as well. When I saw my e-mail it said it was from Space Ultra Hemp. I didn't order hemp nor did I order 4 bottles. I'm cancelled mu credit card and ordered a new one so they can't bill me again.

  6. Kathryn

This company is a rip off, they advertise buy 3 at the promotional price of $39.97 each and get 3 free. Then they charge you $39.97 for each of the 6 bottles, claiming that the original price is $89.97 so you are getting 3 essentially free. Scam all the way. They also do not show the total of what you are being charged until you close the transaction and they send this info in an email. My credit card company contacted me immediately suspecting fraud. DO NOT TRUST!!! When it comes to their refund policy look carefully, under terms and conditions, they are 3rd party providers and everyone has different return policies. You do not get back shipping, surcharge and there is a 20% restocking, all of which are not on the first page link where the refund policy is listed. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM WITH FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING. If I were to rate this company it would be minus 1. I would have liked to at least try the product, but

  7. Tim

This is a conplete SCAME. Fake WEBSITE Fake CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SEND YOU OLD MELTED PRODUCTS. THEN CHARGE YOU TO RE STOCK AND DO THR SAME THING TO THR NEXT BUYER. OVER SEAS SCAME!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Art

This outfit is a total scam, charges doublewhat it advertises and then sends bills for items you that were not ordered.

  9. Shawn

I wish I had checked this site sooner. I found an article in Google mail with my neighbourhood referenced and a very professional write-up about the benefits of CBD gummies. Long story short- order 3 get 3 free- billed for 4; no free shipping; US funds billed from Alberta; no response to emails; waiting for product hope something arrives; cancelled VISA; learned my lesson- Check reviews first.

    1. Dan Rannelli

I phone the company before claiming fruad to my bank. They use several different company names. Caller ID from phone got through, the message he left was confused and threatening, also closed. Contrary to the call which was immediately after I text claiming fruad

  10. morris tkachuk

I had been billed for products I have never ordered, my initial order was for one bottle being charged for six.

    1. Dan Rannelli

All you people here, why has this company been working for a very lengthy period of time, and how can a company have privileges to obtain a license, when are the authorities gonna kick the door in and arrest these people

  11. morris tkachuk

I will have to cancel my credit card.

    1. Dan Rannelli

I too had to cancel my card. Did you see anything about a subscription, they give you 14 days to use the product before contacting them whether you need to continue, I told her I had not received the product I ordered, they blamed the courier....also the fee for the 120US was coming out that day for cream

  12. Alan Rea

I ordered ONE bottle of CBD Gummies and got charged for (and sent) SIX bottles. I just asked for this to be rectified. The charge was on a Citibank MasterCard and Citibank has done a perfect job of settling this kind of thing for us in the past. But there's been enough of it in our lives that I think our days of buying stuff online are about done.

    1. Dan Rannelli

Hey did they tell you it was a subscription. I had an argument with the sale department. She said if I'd called within 14 days, I could have gotten a 7.39 worth of cream instead of the 120dollars US the bank informed me about

  13. Dan Rannelli

Man I can totally agree with everyone here. Spent 4 hours on the phone trying to cancel my credit card. I ordered the gummies not realizing I get 6. Then to find out its USD funds. Then today the company took out 100.CND for a hand cream the included in my order with hemb oil. Which they probably would have charged later if I hadn't found this web site or called right away. I emailed the clown and he phone me. Couldn't understand the mumble but we have a trace on the call. He threatened to charge me more and in the same sentence offered a discount. Said the products will come on the 17th and I was supposed to call on the 29th.

    1. Dan Rannelli

Hey you guys read the terms. It's actually a great product. Unfortunately the time frame they allowed is way too short. It takes 3 weeks to deliver in Canada. They give you 16 days. I can say if the company informed the customer first, instead of this automatic policy they have. A person may not get confused. I hadn't received my product and they billed me for the cream. That's where the red flag went up. Salespeople, give some time and maybe your business would accelerate.

  14. Laurie

Got totally ripped off!!! Thieves they are!! As in above posts....my credit card company wouldn't back me either...charged over 400 US ....they should be in jail!!

    1. steve eh

I'm fighting with my CC company at the moment as well, I got some money back, and just received gummies in the mail, that state on the bottle that they contain No CBD...
