bookgrocer.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives bookgrocer.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 68.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 68.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to bookgrocer.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning bookgrocer.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between bookgrocer.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of bookgrocer.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of bookgrocer.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. bookgrocer.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether bookgrocer.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether bookgrocer.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, bookgrocer.com.

SCAM!! BUYER BEWARE!! SCAM!!Ordered book advent calander 31st October. Item marked as delivered 1st December but not received. Contact numbers are all fake and no reaponce to emails. Avoid!!
Well it seems that there are scam sites impersonating book grocer. So please disregard review as I apparently got scammed. MjI ordered the advent calendar of books 11/13/24 and now it’s 12/2/24. No word if it’s been shipped. When I try to go to the website I get a warning it’s a scam site. Money wasted as far as I’m concerned. This is BS. Never use this site.
bookgrocer.com is a really good Australian book store. The prices are amazing. The delivery is on point. Navigating the website is easy. There is no constant email spamming once you sign up. The books came in amazing condition. I will not buy my books anywhere else.
***BUYER BEWARE***I bought two big art books which ended up being old clearance stock and were obviously already badly damaged before they were packed. From the website description and the price paid I was expecting brand new items. The customer service don’t seem to understand why it’s not acceptable to send out a book where the cover is caved in. *spoilers* That’s because the company MO is to try and sell dead stock at full price and then lowball on refunds when people complain. I’ve received thirty year old second hand art books that were in better condition than this and much less expensive. Disgusting business.
I bought 2 expensive cookbooks from the bookgrocer and they arrived badly damaged. One had a beautiful paper over that had been ripped up and there was sticker residue that had marked it black. The other had a big whole puncture in the front of it. Absolutely appalling to think they could sell such rubbish without letting the buyer know that it was a damaged item. Don't bother shopping with them if you want a quality product. You're better off to go into a bookstore and inspecting the covers for yourself. I'd leave no stars if that were an option.
This is the first time I’ve shopped with the Book Grocer & I am very very pleased. The range of books available and special ‘box deals’ is fabulous! Delivery was extremely fast and the books are in superb condition, so much so that the second hand ones look the same as the new ones. I will definitely order with BG again and have also told my friends how great this site is!
I have purchased books since 2021 with Book Grocer. Great customer service, lovely people on the phone.Secondhand Books in excellent condition.Quick delivery and good communication. Will keep buying!
I ordered a Large Print Book Box for a family member in hospital on a Saturday and he got it on Tuesday. He was bored and frustrated not the books are now keeping him entertained. Thank you Book Grocer!
What an amazing experience dealing with Book Grocer. I bought a bargain box of books, which l carefully unpacked. I found I had only read one book in there, and that was on the reread list! Thank you, Book GrocerJanice Gray, with many thanks.
Found a book that I needed as part of a 3 book set at Book Grocer, great price and didn't have to wait long for book to be delivered. Book is in great condition and very happy.
I ordered one of their new classic book boxes on friday, got it today and its absolutely perfect 🥳 the books were packed with care and delivered without any damages and are going to be great additions to my library :)
Long-time customer both in store and online. I’ve been delighted with both the diverse and interesting range of books and the customer service over the past year in particular (when I had to go online to shop thanks to lockdown). My orders would arrived in big boxes, couriered quickly to my door. The best part of “stay at home” culture for sure! I’ve emailed the team a few times with feedback and suggestions and they’ve always been so helpful and polite and personable. This has kept me so loyal too - and I recommend them to everyone I know. Not just for the great prices but for the unique range. Lately, they’ve improved their website and the search function is much better! They are now specialising in themed boxes for $100 but I’m more likely to pick and choose my own books as I think all their prices are awesome anyway. I do miss a couple of things though: loyalty points online seem to have gone with the website change? Also, I don’t get coupon codes in the delivery boxes anymore. The old 5% off codes made me buy more frequently and in larger volumes to be honest haha.. And I used to attend the warehouse sales (which stopped either due to Covid or was there a flood??) I really loved when all the books were like $7 as well, that was a golden era! But the store has definitely grown since those days and now stock books of even higher quality and more desirable titles and the prices are still the best you can find. They may not have the title you’re looking for but they have things you didn’t know you needed! I have to say that I am emotionally invested in their success and hope they continue to flourish! Keep up the good work!
Great choice of books, great price, fast delivery and outstanding customer service 🤩

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices
