bird.co Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives bird.co a medium-high trust score on the platform: 70.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 70.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to bird.co's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning bird.co, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between bird.co and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of bird.co. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of bird.co, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. bird.co is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether bird.co has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether bird.co boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, bird.co.

Terrible experience 😪 This thing charged me like £20 extra without using it ,I woke the next day found them charging me this money however, I contacted the support after 1 week of waiting they kindly refund me £1.86 !!!!!!!!What a joke ???? Avoid using this app at all cost
Bulls*it scam company. We were not able to park our scooters on the same spot from where we took them. They keep charging and we weren't informed where to park while loosing money! Bad experience.
Avoid these scooters, once you sign up to the app, they have your card details/apple pay, if you stop you get charged, if you don’t park in a P spot you get charged, if you don’t take a photo at the end guess what, you still get charged, biggest scam in Tenerife since the potato thing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
bruh this company is a fraud to the max, It’s been passed 10 days & the temporary holds that the app took out of my bank account for ALL THE RIDES I've purchased which was a couple, I still haven’t gotten refunded my money back yet like what is wrong with these people how do you say a temporary hold & within 7-10 days you’ll get the hold back in your account, but yet you guys just blatantly lie about it. don’t ever put your card on this dumass app overcharging for the max
This app is terrible. We lost +-70 euros on it for nothing and customer service says we can´t get a refund, because we used 1 ride of the pass. This ride, however, we did not even use the step, because it did not work. It is a total scam, we really got ripped off. They also charged +15 € for no apparent reason. When we saw charges being made on our bank account, we immediately contacted customer service on the phone. They let us explain the entire thing twice... once the customer care officer just hung up on us and the second call we hung up ourselves, because they just stopped answering us... We also explained our problem very thouroughly by e-mail several times, but they don´t provide a satisfying solution. It is really unacceptable and very very expensive for nothing in return. Please do not use this app!! Just take an uber, or go by foot, take your car... ANYTHING but this app.
This company is a scam! They have taken several payments off my credit card since the day of the ride & I will be reporting them to the fraud department!
This is a rip off company do not use it. We couldn’t figure out how to get the bike going after activating it. We didn’t know it was active for 10 minutes 15 minutes then we figured out how to get it going and they charge us $25 and one bike and 20 on the other for couldn’t have been two or 3 miles or something Complete rip off.
I am very unsatisfied with the fees associated with this service. This is a complete rip off. You’re overcharging customers. When an Uber ride would be much cost efficient. I do not recommend or will ever use this service again. I only traveled 6 miles and I paid $45.
Total rip off. Very confusing to get the whole program started. That took at least 10 minutes to figure it out. Then we rode for a half an hour along a long boardwalk thinking it was a reasonable price. Ended up being charged $25, a complete rip off!
Worst app everHidden helpdesk, terrible app, lousy scooters. This is so far below par I can't even start describing what's wrong about this company. If you've happen to have downloaded the app, just go to account > delete your account > delete the app and your lifequality jusr increased majorly!Bah. Criminals.
I sent a copy of my driver's license as proof of age to get senior discount twice and they asked me for two government documents to prove eligibility, I asked what 2 documents and they sent me the same response again. I don't know what kind of scam or discrimination they are running but just tell me what you need and I would have provided it. I uninstalled their app and will talk to our Mayor about the bad service provider that they are forcing on us.
I was charged for 14 minutes even though I only had the scooter for 8 minutes. Even worse, I had the scooter for 8 minutes standing because my friend could not get the app on his phone to accept any payment. We eventually gave up and walked.Update:The company contacted me and gave me a full reimbursement. Major points for that. Thank you.
Absolutely terrible experience with this company. On holiday in Fueterventura with my partner and has issues while using these on two occasions. Both occasions had issues with badly maintained scooters as well as not being able to park in the designated parking zones. Over priced rip off company would recommend getting a taxi or walk than getting fleeced by this company! DO NOT USE!!!
If I could give a 0 to this company in Calgary Alberta I would. Purchased a ride pass, got half way through my ride and the bike went totally manual and believe me what a work out! I had to pedal hard to return the bike to a drop zone and was 1 min late…charged me an extra $7. And try to talk to customer service good luck! Email the situation and pretty much get told nothing I can do as I used the remaining minutes….ya to get it back to drop zone! Explain again and no response. I usually use neuron but these were close so we decided to use the new company Bird, big mistake unless you wanna feel like you’re pulling a semi with a tricycle! As we know if you don’t return to a drop zone you get charged for that too! Unbelievable customer service! Bikes are trash ride and definitely wouldn’t suggest anyone to pay money for Bird. Grab a neuron believe me they may be outta the way at times but save the headache of Bird!
Half of the scooters are broken which you don’t know until you unlock it and pay at least 1.35 just for it to not power up absolute scam of a company. You can rent any scooter lying about but as soon as you take it back there it will say it’s not a parking spot even though there are several other scooters there and forces you to go about another half km to park
Our experience was bad from the beginning. Purchased the pass before getting on the scooter, it wouldn't work. I called customer service but after 10 minutes I was no where closer to getting help. I kept asking them to just refund my $$ and they told me they couldn't do that. Just hung up and Purchased another. So now, i have bird credit and we don't even have them where I live. And even if I did, the credit doesn't work!Worst experience. Please don't rent bird if you want to rent an electric scooter
unfortunately their service has become totally unusable. But I have to say, their customer service has surprised me, someone called Peter, was very correct and friendly. Unfortunately the app itself and the whole experience was just horrible.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!! 😡😡😡We had the worst experience with Bird scooter. It didn't recognise the parking spot so we had to keep going despite being at the exact address they had written in the app. It was slow or stopped several times and then speeded up suddenly - because of this one of us were about to get into an accident. After having paid for a scooter it would not work, and you would have to get another one. WASTE OF MONEY AND DANGEROUS!!!!!!!
SCAM:BANK HACKERS!! Bird hacked bank accounts #CALGARY you need to stop this company from stealing from tourists and Calgary residents. ON HOLIDAY all our bank cards were cut off because of BIRD. on vacation, no money, no cards. BIRD you owe my family money and time and a holiday. Why is Calgary allowing this company to exist? #SCAMMERS #BANKHACKERS MINUS STARS !!!!!
Should be a big fat 0 even negative rating for this scum bag rip off artist company. Iam sure they loose a ton money from all the abusers of the service. I witness street people and thugs that have no respect for the "ride share honor based system." But the company BIRD treats its customers that actually take and respect there property as suckers they are for trusting them. On a two day trip to Austin I used there scooter rentals service and they raped my credit card by over billing nearly ever transaction through their lousy and corrupted application. BE AWARE OF THIS MAFIA OPERATION.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
