biltrewards.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives biltrewards.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 85.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 85.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to biltrewards.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning biltrewards.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between biltrewards.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of biltrewards.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of biltrewards.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. biltrewards.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether biltrewards.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether biltrewards.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, biltrewards.com.

I decided to try Bilt Rewards for my rent payment, but it turned out to be a costly mistake. Despite paying off my Bilt Mastercard balance on October 2, my rent payment on October 7 failed due to "insufficient credit." When I contacted support, they couldn’t offer any real help, instead directing me to Wells Fargo, the issuer of the Bilt Mastercard. Wells Fargo confirmed that there was sufficient credit on my account, yet Bilt still failed to process the payment, leading to a late fee with my property management. What’s worse, Bilt support admitted they have no control over the Bilt Mastercard and couldn’t resolve the issue. I’ve now incurred unnecessary fees and wasted time trying to fix a problem caused by their system. If you’re considering Bilt for rent payments, think twice — it’s not worth the risk of late fees and poor customer support when things go wrong.
I asked for assistance in getting an email address corrected. The request I turned in three days has been "escalated" as many times, though they finally decided I can make an appointment to talk to them in two days. I have to pay extra now to get a money order from my bank. This wait time is unacceptable.
Love the concept, but the customer support is fundamentally broken and absurd. I simply needed to change my phone number, which should be easy to do online. Well, with Bilt Rewards, you have to chat with support (there is no phone number), and then they tell you that a specialist has to email you. The next day (!) I received an email telling me that I need to schedule a 30 min appointment via Calendly, and they had no availability until the next day...late afternoon. This is all to change a phone number, which apparently, in Bilt World, takes 3 days. Not only is it incredibly inconvenient, but I'm sure it violates consumer protection regulations of some form, and most importantly, speaks to a poorly architected product, and extremely poor customer experience.
My property uses this site for rent. The site is broken. It does not show the history for rent charges. The customer support also doesn't work and I can not contact anyone to resolve my issues.
The customer support for this site is awful. You are unable to talk to someone on the phone and you have to use a texting service for tech help. I recently renewed my lease through my apartment complex, and I had this service for the past 6 months with relatively no issues. However, this time someone entered my email wrong and I was unable to access my account. I tried to have tech support help me and I was waiting to be connected to a specialist for hours. I was frantic trying to pay my rent for this month so I explained my situation to the leasing office and I have them a cashiers check for my rent. After 5 days of being unable to access my account I was finally able to get in. With no help from tech support. Once I get onto my account I can see that my check was scanned in, but my auto pay kicked in and now I have essentially paid my rent twice. I am extremely frustrated at the situation and the lack of help from Bilt. I do not feel like my information is secure, and I will not pay my rent on this website anymore. If anyone is thinking about getting a card through them or paying their rent I hope you read this first. I also hope you know that if you run into any issues you will not be able to get the help you need, and most likely you will have to figure it out on your own. Luckily I am very tech savvy, but if my parents had to deal with this it would have been a different situation.
i have been forced to use bilt rewards by my building in downtown los angeles since i moved in almost a year ago and i HATE it. i want my rent to be auto paid but NOT ONCE has it worked; and not only that but it can't keep accurate track of what i have and haven't paid so it thinks i have overpaid by more than 10,000 so it's damn near impossible to even pay my rent on time because i have to jump through hoops to get the payment to go through and i have no idea how much i actually owe so i have to guess, and guess on the high side because i don't want to be late. and it charges me a fortune for all of this wonderful convenience. i have never hated anything as much as i hate this rip off of a useless service. HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT.
I love Bilt!!! It is the perfect credit card / idea for people who want to be rewarded for paying rent, dining out, attending workout classes, etc. I will also say that I’m extremely impressed with Bilt’s customer service. If I ever have a question or concern about my card / account, the Bilt team addresses it quickly and always provides a solution. I would strongly recommend Bilt (and have already done so with friends and family!).
Have really enjoyed my experience with Bilt over the last year or so. I even won free rent through the credit card! They’re great with points which are easily transferable/usable. Anytime I have questions or need help Wells Fargo is quick to assist me with whatever I need. Would recommend to anyone who pays rent every month.
They play bait & switch, don't pay rents on time, pissed of my landlord, the points are less than 1% cash back. Good concept but horribly executed. Canceling the card immediately.
Step 1) Apartment manager says everyone has to use BILT now. 2) Try to set up an account. 3) Error message: you've been locked out of your account, contact support. 4) Try to find a way to contact BILT. 5) Tell support your problem and they tell you to reset your password. 6) Send another email and explain again your problem. 7) Wait for nothing to happen. 8) Miss your rent payment and get charged $150. Oh, and BILT so helpfully reports you to the credit bureaus so their incompetence results in a negative consequence for your credit. Thanks BILT!
Free points for paying rent.. what could be better!! Have had a great experience using my bilt card to pay rent at the last two apartments I’ve lived in and now use it for all of my purchases. Definitely recommend getting it, it’s a win win.
The rent payment system is terrible. I was not able to set up an account with BILT since it insisted on sending an authenticating code to my phone which I do not have, though they also have my email address to send the code to. So my daughter set up an account. BILT informed us in email, that the rent payment was submitted (and we got rewards points of 250). Then 2 days later it tells us that the payment didn't go through, and I now have to pay a late fee. When I go into the system, and try to pay again the rent, it insists on adding the late fee.
Absolutely atrocious. I should not have to wade through dozens of marketing promos in order to pay my rent. The app is clearly not designed to be easy to pay/monitor your rental expenses and is clearly a data sucking scam. This is possibly the worst idea I’ve ever seen in the payment space, and I work at a Fortune 500 payment processor. This app has no other purpose than to scrape your data and try to sell you things you don’t need.
The Bilt Mastercard, issued by Wells Fargo, is not all that it seems. Bilt makes it incredibly difficult to setup payments, rejects payments, and provides generally pretty poor customer service. This results in interest and late charges to customers, as well as increased frustration because its not generally possible to send an electronic payment through your primary bank. You will have to send a check or pay through the Wells Fargo website. Maybe the juice is worth the squeeze for you, but having to deal with a bank like Wells Fargo in order to obtain access to a supposedly modern rewards program makes no sense.
Tried to book on their rewards site and get error, problem processing payment. Tried 5 different cards, then try only using points and get the same error. After calling, emailing, chatting, I finally had someone who was barely understandable, acknowledge the problem is on there end. And now it will take 3-5 business days for them to figure out why.Definitely will NOT be using this card anymore!! Avoid*** Update, August 25th still having the same issue as August 2nd. Bilt always responds to these bad reviews acting like they'll help, but when you email customer service NOTHING happens. What a joke of a company!!
I have been a Bilt credit card member since October of 2021 and have been so incredibly happy with the services, rewards and experience I have received through this card. I would highly recommend this card and company to anyone, especially anyone that is currently renting. I love earning points for paying my rent and being able to use those points for flights and more, especially building my point total to use towards down payment assistance on a house/condo. I’m also amazed with how quick and efficient the fraud department is. Only once did they ever have to contact me and it was within minutes of the fraud happening. They immediately flagged the fraudulent purchase, refunded me, canceled my card and sent me a new card in the mail. I received my new card within three or four business days and was given a new digital card number immediately to use for any purchases I may have needed in the interim. The app is extremely easy to use and has been super helpful when trying to use my points for flights and other rewards. They also offer monthly point bonuses through the app and even an opportunity to have your rent paid for free through monthly contests.
Bilt has been fantastic. By far my favorite credit card and I can’t recommend it enough!
Awesome credit card! So glad I can finally get points to pay my rent! Redeemable for great travel benefits. And the “rent day” games in the app are so fun!
Referral system is a scam. Multiple people complaining about on reddit (look it up). I referred a friend and saw him use the link that I sent him but never got the bonus. Bilt says he didn’t use the link even though I saw him using it. Complete scam
Where do I begin...For a company that touts making rent easy to pay, all the hours I've spent going in circles has been anything but easy. From not making it easy to get my money back for a rent payment that didn't go through, to all my redirects to Wells Fargo (which just asked me to call Bilt Rewards), to chat bots that go nowhere, to email support that couldn't resolve my asks, to SMS text verifications for purchases that don't make it through to my phone even after calling support, I'm not sure what IS working about this business. I'd suggest the company spend less effort on sending flashy marketing emails to upsell me and resolving critical workflows for their basic value prop helping customers pay their rent. I rarely try new fin-tech services, and I must say, the frustration and disappointment experienced from this one makes me wary of trying others.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
