bigbearcabins.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives bigbearcabins.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 71.3. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 71.3 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to bigbearcabins.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning bigbearcabins.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between bigbearcabins.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of bigbearcabins.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of bigbearcabins.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. bigbearcabins.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether bigbearcabins.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether bigbearcabins.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, bigbearcabins.com.

The lodge we stayed in was large and had potential to be a great place. Unfortunately it was very dirty and in need of renovating and improved maintenance. Showers had mold, windows were filthy, window blinds were broken, furniture was old and ratty, and the kitchen had a thin film of grease on everything. Drawers and cabinets were filthy with stuff randomly thrown in them. When we complained they sent someone to clean, but it was too little too late. Very disappointed!!
We had smoke all aver in the cabin and called 5 times and left messages but no one got back to us and we end up calling the fire department to come over. The next day we spoke to one of representatives and told us manager will call you back to resolve the issue, but no one called us back.
They charged me for 2 nights even though I was booked for 1 night. My receipt even said "1 night stay" but later found out they were doing 2 nights minimum even though it doesn't say that anywhere on the website. Also, we cleaned the house before we left and they still charged us $50 for "trash and dishes" - we TOOK OUT the trash and ran the dish washer TWICE! I emailed them back asking about the fees, but they never responded. I'm having my bank take care of those extra charges but this is ridiculous.
Very bad experience! The house upon arrival was very dirty and dusty. I found old food, dirty diapers, and cobwebs all over. No enhanced cleaning here as advertised! They didn't even provide pillowcases and the pillows were all filthy. I was told that a ski lift ticket was included, when I checked in only a rental was (so might have been some confusion on the employee's end) since I got one the year before. The location was very dirty. I was offered a free day. Once management processed the complaint they only offered a refund for the cleaning fee. I felt ripped off by the entire experience and will never use them again. I found Big Bear Cool Cabins and I was very happy with them!
This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had and we stay in big bear homes a couple times a year. The oven didn’t work nor did the microwave but we did not find this out until after spending $250 on groceries to make dinner. The floors were covered in wax so several of us fell and a couple of us got injured with bruises and soreness. There were cobwebs throughout the house. The master suite which is pretty large has a queen size bed for some reason and one of the cheapest quality ones you could buy. If you don’t mind laying upside down and not being able to get any sleep then you might like it. I will be leaving multiple reviews on as many places as I can as the management company doesn’t seem to care about the experience we had, only offering their apology. Buyer beware!
The staff was very nice and accommodating. However the place was not fully functional. The hot tub was not working which is one of the main reasons the specific cabin was chosen. We asked to have it fixed and the guy that came said there was nothing that could be done. We let the front desk know on departure to have someone call us back but no one did to follow up. That really frustrated me and still looking for a discount or reimbursement.
Lots of ants, heater broken, fridge noisy, no dishwasher but require guests to wash dishes by hands. Poor lake access without walkable trail. Swimming pool and spa closed. Carpet dirty. No board game. You won't have much fun in the cabin, only advantage is close to summit resort, about 10 min drive.
Wanted to love this place. The front desk people were amazing and friendly. Wish the cabin was inspected prior to rental. I selected this cabin for the jacuzzi tub and fire place. Neither worked. Waisted 1 out of 2 days of my trip waiting to have it fixed . bottom line i gave up another jaccuzzi cabin for this one and it wasnt working. I was hoping management would switch me to another cabin but no manager was available at all until check out morning. Really dissapointed. Filled out a complaint. Was told we would be contacted. Weeks later nothing. Sad my kids had to have a frustrated mom for their only vacation of the year.?cant get that time back
I think it's more of a management and owner combo problem. First the bed, sofa, carpet, and tv were so old so that needs replacement. I guess it's not management fault, but the floors were dirty especially under the sofa and dresser and that is a management issue. The cabin had very poor lighting, it was very dark up to the point that it was very uncomfortable. Also management did not provide any extra trash bags other than the ones in the trash can. I called regarding this and they answered they only provide 1 trash bag, which is strange cause some people require more than 1 trash bag, specially since we have to haul our trash out to the dumpster ourselves. What if there is a hole in the trash bag, don't want anything leaking in the car right.
Do not book with Big Bear Vacations- they rented the cabin out from under me and switched me and my children in an inferior cabin- the lock box code provided did not work and they were not answering their emergency line or calling back on a Saturday night, and I was forced to drive around for hours looking for a room. Finally we got one of the last 3 rooms in the city at Motel 6 for $400. - it took 11 days for the manager to contact me after the incident and after I left several messages- they made only a partial refund for the night- what would you do with kids in the car late on a Saturday night when you can't get into your cabin and the rental company won't answer their phone or call you back? What happens when every place you go has no vacancy? Freeze?
Great cabin within five minute walking distance to village. Location location! Had a great little private sledding hill behind the home. Comfy and cozy. Only thing to mention, which they generally tell you prior to renting, bring your own coffee because it's not supplied. I would definitely rent here again.
Filthy cabin. Not dirty,FILTHY First time we stayed at the cabin it was filthy but my husband wanted to keep coming back because of the location(on lake w/out neighbors to the right and a parking lot to the left, very quiet to say the least. I have pictures that I was hoping to post so perspective renters could see what they are getting into.Furniture smells, rugs(probably 30 years old) are filthy. This cabin has has carpet in the bathrooms. .....who does that. How unsanitary!!The outside furniture is old and was never washed prior to our visit.I could go on and on about how disgusting this cabin is .On a positive note, this cabin would be a perfect place to host a Halloween party because the cobwebs are already there for you.
Although the location was great, the view of the lake was beautiful and the house was on a nice sized property, the inside of the cabin was another story. There were no working smoke detectors or flash lights. The couch had a gaping hole on one side. It was dirty, full of cobwebs, very rundown and outdated. We were afraid to take our shoes off. The price tag and what you get for that high price tag were definitely not in alignment. Not worth it. We feel ripped off!!
We have always had a great experience! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Always easy check-in and check out. We were inconvenienced with an accident on the road ahead of us due to bad weather and had to turn around instead of going home; Big Bear Vacations was kind enough to let us book our cabin another night 50% off since it was available. We’ll definitely use them again and highly recommend to others!
The property we stayed at was dirty and falling apart. It needs some serious TLC. Door knobs we’re coming off and most of the locks didn’t work, a lot of the drawers had extra parts and screws in them, the vanity door in the bathroom was falling off, the baby changing pad was torn up, one of the dressers had mouse poop in the drawer, the backyard had trash all over, the fence in the backyard was broken and the bottom of the bbq was being held up by a cinder block. The game room flooded the day before we got there and was unusable. The property could be nice again with repairs and deep cleaning. Not at all what we expected for our yearly family cabin trip. We would not stay at this property again. On the plus side, there were plenty of rooms and beds. There were nice tvs with lots of accessories too. Big Bear Vacations handled the flooded game room really well, they let us know ahead of time and gave us a credit for the loss of the amenity.
Loved the place really did but the amenities were definitely outdated. The hot tub looks like it needs to be replaced, there was a power outeage on the first night and one would think a cabin would come with extra logs for the fire place especially if the powers out but we ended up having to buy some and left the extra for the next guests. There was constantly an ant infestation by the kitchen area and these ants were huge ones. There were no sponges to wash dishes we had to buy some and all the blankets and bed/pillow covers looked outdated and dirty good thing we brought our own as back up. Customer service however was phenomenal now if someone just focused some TLC on the cabin itself it would have had a 5 star review
Fantastic cabin! Everything from check in process with very kind personnel, to the overall property was excelent. The unit is recently remodeled and looks very nice. Beds are comfortable, place is very clean. Location is walking distance to Bear mountain. Pictures on the site describe perfectly well the overall of the unit. I would definitely stay here again next time.
The staff was wonderful, always helpful. The vacation company it’s self I would recommend. Our Cabin (#1844 - Fawnskin Pines) was clean and nice but not what we expected. Some things that were Advertised it did not have. The owners left odd notes all over making the stay in some ways uncomfortable. The beds in the cabin were very uncomfortable, no one got a good nights sleep. The cabin was not worth the money we paid in our opinion, and we rent cabins in Tahoe regularly. While we would rent through Big Bear vacations again I would not rent this cabin again or recommend it.
I had A stay during my birthday weekend with grandchildren. The cabin worked but was in pretty runwdown shape. but nothing major Fridge door broken handle, cleaning crew did horrible job. Vents full of Dust clogged, I had to clean for it to work. Cough drops under table, closet doors off hinges. Other then that it did not leak and we got a little snow. grandkids had fun. I callled several times to Big bear vacaions and they emailed me saying they refunded $77 off the 160 cleaning fee, lol..and 20% off next stay. 2 nights $800 bill no phone call to discuss just throw a bone of $77 and 20% off next stay. not good customer service in my book.
Shower kept filling up with water during shower. Walls in the bathroom were falling apart, you could literally see outside while taking a pee.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
