I've ordered from B&H about 80 times for my job and I've never had a terrible experience with any of the products or the shipping. We almost always receive our order the next business day. If something extraordinary occurs, it's 2-day shipping (as if that's a bad thing). I once ordered equipment at 4:20pm EST, and it arrived the next day at 9:00am. They might as well just say they teleport their products directly to your door.

This is my second online order with B&H. I was really impressed with the shipping time on my first order (a telephoto zoom lens) and the quality and depth of information on the website. “Payboo Card is super shady”
The promise of instant tax rebate or 12 MO interest free financing with the Payboo card is bogus. They used to use a semi-reputable bank for the Payboo card but recently they switched to a scammy predatory creditor that uses archaic background and verification. Their application required a photo of my physical SS Card ( never encountered this ever) and they are so slow they take weeks to mail you requests. Their background checks have no security and request you send sensitive information via email attachments. Their reps on the phone are the worst. “Poor Customer Service”
But a tv from them. On tv product page states 30 day return policy. I ordered TV based on BH recommendations. I wasn't satisfied with product and decided to return for something else. I was told since TV is over 37', I can't return it even thought on product page states 30 day return. Total misleading. I written to 10 different customer service and to no satisfaction, none of them cared. I've been a BH customer for years and have spent over 10k with them over the years and this is the way they treat there customer. Amazon does not have these scandalous return policy. Don't put 30 day return on a product page and they switch policy. Would not recommend BH. “B&H is great, but their association with Payboo will make it where I will not order from them again.”
B&H is great with their new products. I have spent thousands of dollars (as we photographers do) over the last few years at B&H. However, on this most recent purchase I opted to take advantage of a special financing with their Payboo card program ran through Comenity Bank. I ended up paying it off in full after three months because their system was always "down" for payments and charged you $50 late fees. Then their system was conveniently down once balance was paid in full and were unable to report payoff to bureaus. I do not know if this is an actual affiliation with B&H or this is who they choose to represent them. Either way I will take my business elsewhere while they use Comenity Capital for their in house financing. “Defective product returns are a nightmare”
I have twice ordered open box items from B&H that were defective. When I called for an RMA to return the items I was told the replacement order would be expedited. What I was not told either time was that they would not be shipped until AFTER the first item was received and checked in. ("Expedited" is their standard shipping policy anyways.) This time around I remembered my previous experience, called back and asked for status when I didn't see a new order appear. I was told "I am sorry that was not made clear". There's a huge difference between that, and it never having been said. Last time it took several months to resolve the issues (I don't remember why). I can't advise buying anything but new from B&H; that's two out of two miserable experiences. Tip for consumers:They don't tell you that replacements for defective items only occur after returns are received and checked in. In my experience that takes about three weeks. If you're gonna go that route, expect problems. After many purchases from B&H I really trust them. I cancelled my amazon prime subscription because most items I would buy off amazon I can get from B&H, and I got tired of wondering if I was going to get a genuine product in the mail from amazon. They always have what I need(primarily photography equipment) at a reasonable price, pack it well for shipping, and ship fast. One of the few companies I would feel comfortable asking for purchasing advice. Tip for consumers:Usually its free 2 day shipping, a lens cleaning kit I just ordered did not qualify. I think this is the first order I've actually had to pay shipping on out of probably a dozen though so I would assume shipping is free generally. I have not worked with their customer service but I am confident they would handle anything properly. I would trust them with purchasing advice, for example people asking about the eclipse in the comments of the solar photography article got good advice. I completely understand if something gets damaged in shipping, but my box isn't perfect shape and the monitor I received this cracked on the screen with no cover on the screen. Which means they knowingly, sent me a broken monitor. Insanely terrible at of doing business

“Uncaring Customer Service”
Customer service at this company did anything but serve this customer. Be very careful before you order anything! I ordered an item and realized after opening it that it was the wrong product. Even though the items were still individually wrapped and untouched in their original packaging, customer service denied my return simply because I had cut open the tape on the box. No compassion. Emails were very unfeeling as they hid behind their return policy. I understand items that have been opened and handled are harder to resell, but this product was completely intact in its packaged form. So...I'm stuck with a $250 product I cannot use over a piece of tape that was cut. I DO NOT recommend any company that has such little value for their customers. What's the deal with the checkout process? I keep having to go back and review address or cart before I get an active "place order" button.
