Is astrovpn.co Legit?

I purchased a 3 month plan from Veilock (previously known as AstroVPN) on 9/5/2024. It’s been 6 days and I have yet to receive any communication or login information. I contacted support on their website multiple times, but only received automated response. Messages sent to their Facebook page and discord channel also fell on deaf ears. At this point I only wish they’d honor their 7 day money back guarantee and refund my purchase.

I had asked my Chinese friend to try a lot of VPN providers(including some of the well known ones in the market) before my China trip because I was a bit paranoid(to be honest) to not have connectivity to usual apps after landing there. Everytime I got the feedback that it didn't work until he tried Astro VPN. Honestly looking at their pricing I wasn't sure it'll work but the feedback I got from my friend was - 'It works flawlessly and is very stable'. With their bypass VPN server i was able to complete my China trip without any hiccups. Their support team is one of the best I've come across in my life. Kudos to all the hard work. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone traveling to China.

1️⃣This VPN is implemented by configuring an OpenVPN file, not a specific app, so their client cannot be found. You can use the public openVPN App so this is not quite a problem. 2️⃣The configuration file requires a username & password. Their official website says that the username & password will be sent to you after your purchase, but in reality, I received nothing immediately. It seems few supporters are working here. I was able to get all of these hours later.3️⃣In the beginning, the speed was a little bit low in China, even when I had a special bypass server prepared for this situation. But it then gets better. This type of server does not require a username & password. But it should be noted that just being able to connect to this point is better than most famous VPN companies.4️⃣The bypass server is few. You can only get one or two servers for China's situation. I expect to expand the number of bypass servers. And I am looking forward to the servers that can unlock video streaming in China.

It's all to set up yourself. That's pretty easy. Then the connection works perfectly to every provided vpn location. The only problem is the slow internet speed which on the one hand allows you to stream videos but on the other hand disallows you to quickly download a video. It just takes too long.

One of the best VPN services out there.Having previously used AstroVPN I can say that is by far one of the best VPN companies out there. The people behind the company are very receptive to feedback and concerns, a luxury which I have not yet experienced elsewhere. While I no longer hold a subscription with them currently, it is something I am excited to get in the near future. ^ Akash

I searched for a VPN for China in October 2023. AstroVPN delivered a special bypass server for china and it worked all the tine i used it. The normal servers had trouble with the connection, some of them worked for a short while and got blocked after that. The server in Frankfurt (Germany) was working most of the time. But due to the bypass server i had no problem and a fast connection.The customer support answers within hours and the communication is comfortable wih a chat on the website or email. If you get the Vpn for China you should tell them about your plans.

Overall an amazing VPN, affordable and they offer a wide range of locations from you to choose from. Staff team are incredible to work with, whatever the case may be they are happy to help. - Never had any issues and would highly recommend. The real question is. Why aren't you using AstroVPN?

The support was great, they helped me set it up and answered any questions I had immediately. As for the vpn its really fast and the vortex ad blocker is awesome. I was gonna write this review like a week ago but I totally forgot 😅. Anyway great vpn and friendly community, and super cheap considering the quality

I'm using AstroVPN in China and so far, browsing the Internet has been as smooth as it can get in here. Astro also has an excellent & swift support for set up and subsequent issues. So far so good, then!

I'm so glad to be one of the early users of AstroVPN. I live in a country with the highest internet censorship and most VPNs I've tried do not work, except for AstroVPN. It works every time and I have no trouble accessing the open and free internet. The customer support is also very good and they helped me set up my connection step-by-step.

Kind support staff and quick to respond (when they're awake, they are humans after all). They've fixed any bugs I've found almost instantly and it's cheap. What's not to love? I would definitely recommend this service to anyone - it's simply brilliant.

Been using for a few weeks, very reliable vpn. Multiple locations. No bs throttling. Crazy speeds. No ads/malware blocker. Encrypted packets. What more can you ask for? Also, support is god. Riley is on it all the time. +1

Overall I am very happy with my AstroVPN subscription. There were no issues setting up my profile and the support team responded quickly to ensure that I had a seamless experience. For a while I was struggling to find a VPN service that would work while I was traveling in China, but there were no blockers using AstroVPN there. Very reliable connection and solid internet speed.

AstroVPN has to be the best VPN service out there. The support has been great with excellent transparency about what's going on behind the scenes. The speeds on the VPN have been great and the wide variety of locations is a nice convenience to have.

The product didn't work. Support wasn't helpful. They were unprofessional and took many days for a simple request.

Although this VPN doesn't have as many options as some of the more mainstream VPN options, it is about 3x cheaper then any other alternatives out there and they have a great staff-team / reliable up-time. Also since this vpn is a little smaller than the competition its able to bypass a lot of the "VPN-blockers" on a variety of different services. Definitely recommend using this VPN if you are looking for something affordable.

Staff are very nice at AstroVPN. Need any sort of support you can open a ticket and be assisted pretty much anytime of day. The VPN has a lot of nice features, and is very affordable.

Looks like a scam company. I encountered issues connecting to the VPN and attempted to contact customer service multiple times without receiving any response. Based on my observations, there appears to be only one individual handling customer inquiries. My vacation in China concludes in one month, and unfortunately, I have been unable to establish a VPN connection throughout my stay.
