If you come across their site in search of support, you\'re done. Any of yor method of payment would become raped by these guys. They should operate in the Middle East with the rest of rapers, hopefully get raped as well.
Peacock charged my Discover card 2-25-25 69.00 and 79.00 total 139.00 but won\' load channel. Peacock pushes you to their website then their chat bot Ask Teck they ask for a credit card to charge 1.00 Then immediate text from Discover, did I authorize 56.00 No & fraud
do not use asktech. they are a ripoff and you will find additional charges from them on your bank statememnt. I used them to find out how to install Uber, Big mistake
AskTech.support billed me 101.00 in a month before I noticed the charges. I have no idea who this is or how to contact them. I had to dispute the charges as fraudulent and have my credit card canceled.
AskTech started to withdraw every month $66 from my credit card (for a period of 6 months before I noticed this charge) without my authorization, or me having provided my card details to them and without having done any business with them. There was no way to contact them and by the way I do not live in the USA where this \"business\" is apparently domiciled. Another company I believe is also a \"front\" for these people and is called Just Answer.
Ask tech said they could unlock Gmail account but required $5.00 charge to my credit card. Then without my consent they made a second charge for $65.00. Total rip off. A note to those that operate this website: This scam-detector website is a total shit house.
Ask Tech Support is a scam in my experience. I asked one question and they set me up for a $55 a month continuing charge on my Visa card. Visa did not help the situation. When I canceled my Visa card and ordered a new on Visa continued to accept the Ask Tech charge saying it was a \"continuing charge\" and Visa did not notify me. I hope with my new card they stopped the charges. Visa did not get me a refund. The charges went on from February to November. I am out a bunch!!!!!
It just makes money on you once you sign up for one usage. Try to cancel, there is no easy way, once you do cancel you are still charged for the membership. When you call to cancel they want you to sign up again and again they want all your information. They have this or they wouldn\'t be able to charge you. It is a trap.
I tried to use techsupport to install a thermostat and they never picked up the call after I paid them - I was on hold for more than 20min. That cost me $48 and worst of all they signed me up to a monthly service for $48/mo without my permission and I caught it after 3 mos of charges on my credit card. I called Chase to contest the charges and they (Chase) stopped them. This is a completely unethical company - do not do business with them!
