The Scam Detector website Validator gives ashworthcollege.edu a fairly high trust score on the platform: 81.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 81.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to ashworthcollege.edu's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning ashworthcollege.edu, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between ashworthcollege.edu and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of ashworthcollege.edu. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of ashworthcollege.edu, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. ashworthcollege.edu is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether ashworthcollege.edu has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether ashworthcollege.edu boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, ashworthcollege.edu.

This school is a complete SCAM. The education sucks and they only care about your money. There are way better and quality online schools like; UMPI, WGU, etc.... RUN folks, I repeat RUN!!!!
Here's my story: I started Ashworth in 2022/2023 for General Studies. Everything was going well, but with my learning disability, I got a little behind. I paid for extensions twice, but I was still doing okay until February 2024, when I got COVID-19 very badly and had to pull out. I promised to keep on paying for tuition at $60 a month until it was either paid off or I returned at another time after I got well enough to be remitted. This past week I called and told them I wanted to be remitted and I wanted to switch over from General Studies to Early Childhood Education which I knew cost about $50 and still pay my $60 a month along with transferring some of the credits that I earned while doing my General Studies degree plan. Not only was the woman rude about me not paying the full $60 (because my paycheck doesn't hit my bank account until my bank opens which is 8 AM central time in Texas and I always pay on time) but she said I can still switch over but I have to cont. I am paying on the General Studies degree plan but I have to also do another account for the Early Childhood Education degree plan and start paying $79 on that account as well. I asked her what about transferring my credits from my General Studies degree plan to the Early Childhood Education degree plan she said they have to look over the classes I took and try to match them up with the Early Childhood Education... her tone of voice made me upset. After that I started crying, it was already a bad Christmas, and this woman made it worse.Looks like I have to find another college to take me if anybody will. I have worked very hard with very little pay as a cashier this past 17 years and I take care of my sister who is disabled and now I have to pay next month $90 (which changed from $60 without anybody telling me). So please look for another college, I just pray I can find one that will even take me now. :(
I don’t know what all the complaining is about. Ashworth doesn’t hide the fact that it’s an online school with a self paced learning environment. That being said, there is tutor support and technical support available. I believe you get what you put into it at Ashworth, if you work hard and study the material you will be successful. If you want someone to hold your hand and baby you through the process, find a different school. I had a great experience and even with the extension fees etc, you incur those when you make your semester lax …
I am so surprised of the bad reviews, that I have read about Ashworth College. Ashworth College is the best affordable college. I am a two time returning, about to be a three time Graduate of Ashworth College but Ashworth University. I haven't had any issues thus far. The studies are very easy to understand. Student Help Services are also available online in the Student Portal, Chat Messaging. I am so sorry to hear of any issues that any students has encountered.
This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. There is no live representative available, making it a nightmare to get any support. I strongly advise against wasting your time and money with this college. It will only cause you additional stress and frustration that you don't need.
The beginning of the program went smoothly but when you're close to graduating, it's completely different. HORRIBLE customer service. Sometimes assignments are graded late and questions have taken weeks to be answered. All of which can leave you having to pay a hefty fee for a semester extension. It makes one wonder if that's their goal or if they're really just that incompetent. Dealing with this school has left me feeling hopeless and extremely frustrated. Please research this school well before enrolling.
I am currently enrolled in A.S Psychology degree program. So far everything seems to be going great. Teachers respond via email to my questions and they are very helpful in the courses I been taking. Grading assignments are generally quick within a week and transcripts were evaluated within a few days. I like the affordability and the learn at your own self pace online class structure. I will be sure to update in a few months if anything seems to change. Overall, great experience so far!
Horrific customer service. Absolutely no student support when trying actually have someone help you navigate their online courses. Was told to "adult up" by faculty when I needed help accessing required courses. I am 60 years old and I do not appreciate being talked as if I am a child. Save your money and find a school with integrity.
I'd give 0 stars if I could. Do not fall for the bait and switch ($1 deposit to start the term- that's how they get you) I highly recommend having an attorney look over the contract. They feed on those simply trying to further their career- and after that $1- they will hit you with thousands and it WILL show up on your credit report. It's niche, but if you have seen the movie Wonka, the scene where the couple lets him stay at their hotel for free and he signs a contract- they then end up charging him an absurd amount at the end because it's "in the fine print"- same situation with Ashworth. And heaven for bid you DO graduate - you may as well have printed a fake degree online- they preach their 'accreditation' but look deep into it- some employers / educators will not accept their degrees as valid. Be warned. Do not go to Ashworth- you're better off going through a University/College that's accepts financial aid.
I have to say I love Ashworth College. Any time I submit a ticket I get a response either that day or the next. My assignment submissions were graded within a reasonable amount of time. When I have called, every person on the other end was friendly and helpful. The course material is very informative, interesting, and current. No billing issues at all.
Do your homework before you sign up. Google CBCS from NHA to see if this designation is for you. It doesn’t seem to be popular everywhere. Get everything in writing from Ashworth before you sign up. They promised me study materials for a CPC designation from AAPC. They didn’t provide any study materials for CPC. It is going to cost me thousands more to get a CPC from AAPC. Good luck with your decision.
My wife is attending this school online. Receiving dependents VA benefits. She's having to constantly call the school for their errors in grading, entering dates for VA benefits, and apparently transcripts haven't arrived from a college she went to when all the other transcripts have. Since I'm a paralegal we're already looking at legal avenues of remedy. Because the incompetence is just too much. The VA will be notified of the issues as well. My advice to anyone would be to look for a better school.
If I could give less than one star I would. I was lied to right from the start and given incorrect information when I enrolled. Didn't finish one lesson or receive any materials. Had such a hard time getting any response by email or getting tickets answered. Cancelled 3 weeks later and they stole 20% of my tuition which was paid in full. In the process of filing a complaint.
They arbitrarily decided to send me 1 of 2 paid for transcripts. I talked to Parchment and Ashworth Billing* multiple times, doesn't matter. I'm out my money for the 2nd transcript. Parchment even said they would refund me the money for my missing transcript, definitely didn't get that. They used to be good, I don't know what happened. Don't even bother going here.*The asterisks is because I am unable to get into touch with Student Services no matter what. There's no phone number, they never called me back during any of the many appointments I made, and the "chat" option is a robot without the ability to communicate. I get better conversations out of my plants. Have yet to have a ticket answered, but I received loads of "how are we doing?" surveys.
Absolutely trashy business practices. I signed up, but was unable to take any classes due to a health issue. They refused to give me a refund, despite the fact that I never was able to finish even one class. DO NOT trust these people. VERY shady business practices. They have sent a bogus balance to a collection agency and supposedly there is a "gotcha clause" in their terms and conditions that allows them to collect the balance regardless of your personal circumstances. Not the kind of stress I needed when trying to recover from a medical procedure. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
My experience was awesome at Ashworth College and strongly recommend. I see so many complaints/ excuses from people on why their experience was not pleasant and believe that if you stay on course and complete your work you should not have any problems, I did not. The customer service is excellent and it's so affordable. Trust me , this school is great. If you are serious about acquiring a degree or a career diploma this is the place
I have been given the runaround in regards to my diploma. I have had numerous tickets opened in my online portal with some not being answered. I have been told by three deferent people of a differing graduation date. I received a “digital” certificate by cannot get a straight answer about my physical diploma and I finished coursework almost two months agoP.S. I received my diploma today. The process was still agitating with getting different answers but it did arrive
Scam! I am an Alumni from Ashworth College. I am writing because I have been demanding a refund since I have been a student with no success. This is due to the lack of engagement from teachers and the fact that I have been unable to find a Pharmacy Technician job though I am certified and finished a internship which counts as experience and Ashworth has career services that have not been of any help to me. I have been getting nothing but rejections from companies though the website states they their program is rated among the top 10 best. They are taking advantage of people who don't have time or money to invest in university. Do Not Purchase their courses!
I have been trying since July to gain access to the GDS training and can not go further in my TA course until this happens. I have tried live chat, sent several emails, and opened multiple tickets all going unanswered. This is ridiculous. Please help me!!!Stacey Leonard
I am currently enrolled in Ashworth and its been awesome! The coursework is up to date and i always get helpful feedback from my professors. The tuition is also a huge plus if you are trying to not acquire debt. You are to sign an enrollment agreement before each semester starts but you get to chose how much you pay per month. Its wonderful!

“They charge you money before they're even willing to...”

They charge you money before they're even willing to send you the books. If they do not get your transcript in a certain time frame they drop you from the program. Then, they still make you pay for the first term. Their degree programs are not recognized as valid by some employers. You can't get a job with it. The classes don't even count toward other school programs. Do your research, and don't trust these distance learning online schools with your money unless you know you can get a job.

“Best of the Best!”

First off, let me start by saying this. Ashworth College, Is by far the most amazing school I have ever attended. I enrolled in pursuit of a degree in business and ever since the very beginning it has been excellent! Their curriculum is developed with such expertise that the quality is now reaching Ivy League standards. What you are receiving is worth every cent. The degree I am receiving is more than legitimate, it is now accepted by employers of growing companies at a rate of 86%. There are challenges, there is success and there is satisfaction if one truly applies themselves. This university, goes above and beyond than what other universities have. This school also has passion to help students succeed, the highest quality curriculum there is and of course the affordability. Above all, its an award winning university today and deserves nothing but the best credit. I am very happy with this school and all that I have accomplished with them. It proves to me that learning and success is their number one priority for their students. If there is any place on earth where a practical and respectable person wants a true education, this university is the place to be. Otherwise I would not be writing this in depth review.

“College President Britt and the Board are con artists”

Discovered an error in one of my Real Estate Law quizzes. Brought it to the attention of Support. They refused to address it. Same error appeared in my final exam. Support ignored the request yet again. Both profoundly effected my grades. Contacted President Britt and all of the college board members. They were too cowardice to admit they'd made a drastic error. Had to file an ethics complaint against President Britt. Their minion Andrew Kachurak gave a 'blanket CYA' response accusing me, the USPS, the Board, and his own co-worker of all lying that the college never received any of my correspondence. Fortunately, the USPS' tracking capabilities put a cork in Andrew's spout of sewage. He later admitted in a personal email that he was wrong; yet unfortunately left his stink over at the BBB. Not only does this school give quizzes and final exams with bogus information, they hide like roaches when the kitchen lights come on when faced with the reality that they screwed up. Highly UNRECOMMENDED! Tip for consumers:Buyer Beware! IF President Britt is leading this school board, you will experience dishonesty and no integrity from this college. “Policies are backwards. Not focused on the student.”

When Ashworth began, it was a work-at-your-own-pace school and you weren't rushed. Now the policy has changed. You have to have a semester done in a certain amount of time. That is clearly not a work at your own pace program. I understand they do it to try and keep you on track, but it's very challenging for someone who works full time(40+ hrs a week). Also, if you'd rather do the work at home by written correspondence vs online, they won't let you.(In the past they offered the choice of written correspondence for a higher fee, and now that choice is gone.) If you enroll in a Bachelor Degree program and want to downgrade it an Associate Degree while you're STILL in the Associate portion of the program, they won't let you. They give you this spill about "Ashworth doesn't let its students go backwards". Well, I'm not going backwards if I'm STILL in the Associate part of the program. Any traditional college would let me change to an Associate Degree if I am still in that part of the program because I am the customer and I'm paying you, so I should get to choose what I want to do with my education. Customer service is ignorant and needs more training to actually listen to what the customer/student wants. I had an issue and they just kept repeating the same things over and over like they were reading from a script. I also asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I could not. On semester exams: It would be nice to know what you need to study in each course to prepare for the semester exam. The chapter exams they give at the end of every chapter in your course material can be very difficult and should be enough to test the student's knowledge of the subject. In fact, one Finance class that I took with them was so difficult that it took me an entire 6 months to do it - and that's with me working on the book every single day. In summary, I feel let down and kind of betrayed by this school. I loved going to school here but now there is no way that I could finish my classes with the new policies that they have in place. I would have to start all over(which I am open to doing), but was told I could not by their customer service team. So disappointing. I am open to resolving my issues with Ashworth if they decide to respond to this review.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
