antiquelampsupply.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives antiquelampsupply.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 65.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 65.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to antiquelampsupply.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning antiquelampsupply.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between antiquelampsupply.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of antiquelampsupply.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of antiquelampsupply.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. antiquelampsupply.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether antiquelampsupply.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether antiquelampsupply.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, antiquelampsupply.com.

These items are not weight rated! Purchased hanging supplies to hang a beautiful antique glass light fixture and the hook popped right off. The chandelier fell and broke irreparably. Spoke to Customer Service and was told, "We do not sell weight rated items". My husband said, "You mean you sell hanging supplies for antique light fixtures that will not hold up the light fixtures?" They replied ... "None of our items are weight rated." Fortunately, no one was injured but sadly this beautiful irreplaceable light fixture is ruined. Antique Lamp Supply said they do not accept any liability for their products. DO NOT PURCHASE.
Recieved cracked crystals. Reached out to customer service for help and they refused to reimburse shipping costs (would only reimburse crystals once recieved).NOTE: Items were not packed well to begin with- so I would avoid this company.
I was sold bulb clips which did not function for their intended purpose. The finial posts were constructed so that not one of my lamp finials would fit the clip. It was impossible to screw any finial down far enough on the post for it to make contact with the lamp shade fitter. The result is a shade which flops and spins vs. sitting securely on the lamp. It appears the diameter of the finial posts is slightly larger than the industry standard of 1/4"-27M. The posts are also about 1/4" longer than any other finial posts on my existing lamps. Every finial I own can be easily interchanged with the lamps I own, but not one fits the bulb clip ALS shipped.ALS refuses to refund anything other than product cost. Stephanie in customer service said I must foot the bill for original and return shipping which is nearly double the value of the merchandise. Unfair treatment, poor customer service, and a rip off!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RUDE INDIGENT PERSON ON THE END OF THE PHONE-DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.Haven't even gotten my part yet and so totally put off by the woman i spoke to on the phone just now. When I asked why my $6 for shipping turned into 2 weeks she said if you want to beat up on someone call the post office. What incredible accountability-maybe she never heard of any other way to ship. I cant believe ownership lets her answer the phone. By the way calling someone "ma'am" while you are being rude doesn't make it right-even in Tennessee. Don't do it. Ever.
If you want customer service, talk to Lindsey not Stephanie. I've never written a bad review but this topped it all for me. I can't believe a company would put up with such a person for a CSR. She was very short and wouldn't try to understand me and tried to get me to purchase a part I didn't need and wouldn't swap out a part (that she recommended) for me without charging shipping after I spent $89.00 with her. Buy elsewhere if you can. BTW I see that I'm not the only one who feels this way if you read other reviews you'll see as well.
I had ordered a replacement reflector globe for a lamp, and after I received it and made sure it fit, I asked the representative for recommendations on a fabric lampshade that would fit over the globe. Instead of any specific recommendations she directed me to the codes for sizing. To say it was confusing to find a shade would be an understatement, consequently, I ended up getting the wrong size. When I emailed the company, the representative said something to the effect 'you need F203G (not the actual part)'. I asked why I couldn't have been given that information when I first asked the question. Anyway, I returned the $75 item and paid $44 shipping. Two weeks after the tracking indicated they received the item, still no refund. I'll just shop someplace else!!!
Agree with previous reviewer regarding customer service provided by Stephanie. I reached out twice with questions about what lamp parts I should order from them, and both of her replies were rude and unhelpful.
Terrible customer service experience and from reading other reviews here it seems to be their standard. It's not our fault, why should we help you?Would not deal with them again.
I purchased 6 Inch Fitter Wired Flush in Antique Brass (11880) The post states WIRED. The fixture was not wired. It shipped with all of the parts loose in bags. Very misleading and falsely advertised. I reached out to customer service and they said the socket was pre-wired. Not the fixture. Buyer beware!!!
These people are unbelievable, paid 25 dollars to have parts express delivered, delivered only half the order (per their own included shipment invoice) and then pretending not to know what was shipped and what is missing, but the problem is I am out both money and time!
Ordered two smal items, but had to do separate orders because the search engine on website didn’t work ....asked them to combine and they would not had to pay $5.50 for each and again very small items going to same address, ordered seconds apart on same card. Would not use them again.
This company is dishonest and Stephanie and Mary remain the rudest customer service individuals imaginable. The company sent the wrong size product and refused to correct their error despite receiving a photo against a tape measure proving the wrong product size. They said to just reorder the correct size and pay for it; demanding the customer keep the incorrect product or pay for its repacking and return shipping. Thereafter, they repeatedly hung up on the customer, refused to answer their phone, sent repeated customer phone calls to voice mail, and refused to answer text messages. Their website requests reviews, even including suggestions how to improve their customer service, but according to many other reviews that have not prompted any change in behavior, it appears correcting the problem is not possible with this company. Many other companies offer the same or better products, steer clear of this one and the cherry-picked reviews they publish on their website.Antique Lamp Supply Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of antiquelampsupply.com (trustpilot.com)ANTIQUE LAMP SUPPLY - 10 Reviews - 843 Old Morrison Hwy, Mcminnville, Tennessee - Electronics - Phone Number - YelpEdit: based on their response, it must be added that their representatives are, too, liars...good luck with this company
During pre-sales communication with B&P Antique Lamp Supply, many emails were exchanged with specifications to identify a replacement burner for a Crisa oil lamp. Burner received would not screw into Crisa lamp reservoir due to different screw threads, potential safety issue. B&P Antique Lamp Supply did not understand the importance of threads needing to match. B&P Antique Lamp Supply wanted me to pay for return shipping of their incompatible part. Sent photographic proof of issue with thread gauges confirming difference. B&P Antique Lamp Supply did eventually send a return shipping label. B&P Antique Lamp Supply did acknowledge the OEM burner and their replacement is different. Also, B&P Antique Lamp Supply refused to answer the question of whether or not they have physically checked the compatibility of their replacement burner, asked three times. Replacement burner was sent back in all its original packaging and shipping box. B&P Antique Lamp Supply did not fully refund the purchase and ignore emails requesting a correction to the refund. Their PayPal account was put on hold, until B&P Antique Lamp Supply refunded full purchase price.Dispute was filed with PayPal against B&P Antique Lamp Supply. They refused to reply to PayPal. PayPal ruled in customer's favor and refunded the shipping cost.
I ordered 5 different sockets and there is no way to tell which is which. No indication or stock number. All different prices bought for comparison and no way to compare. Each should have stock number. Not very helpful or satisfactory. Thanks for your response, they should be, but they weren't.
Ordering was on line only. Spoke with company no way to order by phone. Items shipped through USPS. No other carrier offered. Went to USPS site to see delivery date. Came three days after promised. Items were well packed and arrived safely. The inability to order on phone and delivery USPS delivery and no way to order by phone were the worse problemsJack Boggs
The lamp chimney was too large -- and I can't find one that actually will fit on my very old converted oil lamp (approx. 2 1/2"+ at the bottom end. Sorry.
Shipping was more expensive than I thought it should be. The shipping was more than the switch I ordered.
Antique Lamp Supply has an impressive inventory of many hard-to-find parts, available from the comfort of your own home. You may have to dig a little to find something, but it's far better than trying to source parts locally. Parts are reasonably priced, and any shipping expense is more than ample compensation for the time you'd spend driving or calling around.I'll be going to them for my lamp part needs in the future.
Had to take some careful measurements to be sure i was ordering the correct items. Everything fit their respective place on the lamp as advertised! I only wish that specialized cutters would be offered (at a reasonable price point) for making square cuts to the tubing that guards the socket assembly.
Deceptive shipping practices and extremely rude customer service folks.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet.
