Is altresume.com Legit?

Only pressed one star as wouldn’t let me give any less. This is an absolute scam please please avoid. Cancelled after paying a weeks trial and it took the next months and another month out. I contacted them to ask why they took the money but they say I haven’t cancelled when I 100% had. There’s a lot of reviews pretty much the same and it’s ridiculous. I would say anyone thinking about using please avoid. If you do, email them to confirm in writing you want to cancel or that will not follow through with cancelling on their website.

Wanted to do a cv / cover note, had to pay 90p, which was fine, but by clicking on terms and conditions I had unknowingly Signed up for £29.90 per month subscription, luckily my bank stopped the payment as looked suspicious, fraud department at my bank contacted me to let me know i was being scammed..avoid at all costs, scammers

There is nothing honest about this organisation, and they constantly have been doing it for years. They are crooks and just because something is on a website does not mean they are legitimate, they are still operating all over the web as con artists, where is the legalities in stealing money from innocent people who are looking for work. Please steer clear of them.

The software produces very generic texts, it is not so useful. 1 star because they operate a fraud scheme with their policy, they will not notify you when your 7 day trial is finished (as normal companies do) and steal you 30$.

Paid one off payment of £1.90 for a cover letter and they've then attempted to take £29.90 off me. My bank blocked it and now reissued a card. My fault for not reading reviews before using ans entering bank details. Do not recommend at all!

Absolutely shocking! Stay away!!! I have cancelled my subscription via email and they continued taking my money. Almost secretely as not once have they emailed to say that they will take money from my account!obviously I have not noticed until recently, as you can imagine when someone cancels a sub that the company acknowledges it and does not take money. But not Altresume. Be warned: this company ignores your cancellations!

These people's are scammers and same happened with ke also as others are complaining. I cancelled my subscription within 7 days and 8th day didn't started still they aren't refunding my money.

I'm another victim. Thankfully my bank already blocked the transaction on my behalf and then they phoned me strongly recommending me to cancel the card because it was exposed to the scammers. Please stay away from them

The website clearly says to have a 7 day unlimited plan which is paid, and after that without any notification or specification they charged £30 pounds for monthly subscription.No customer service.

Absolute scam. Same as everyone in this thread, I got a $1.90 plan and cancelled the plan. It's the second time they charged me $29.90 without my permission. Unfortunately, legal action costs more money than this, would definitely sue this scam. DO NOT USE

ABSOLUTE SCAM!! I went to sign up for the 7 day trial starter at £1.90. I transferred the exact amount to an account I hardly use because I felt abit iffy and I recieved £29.90 DECLINED message from my bank, so there is no trial they just take full payments. all those 5☆ reviews are FAKE.

I am absolutely furious with this company. They constantly take money from my account although I cancelled this subscription within a day of opening it. I have asked for re-reimbursement and to be fair they do, but then five days later retake money again. Don't bother joining this group, they are an absolute disgrace and need to be closed down.

Scam!!! There is a hidden charge that is written in small letters but it says 90 cents but they charge an extra 30£!! Beware!! It’s also so difficult and complicated to cancel the membership! Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The price displayed was £1.90. But when I looked back at my bank account it was £29.90 which I did not expect and as a student it is a lot of money. I unsubscribed immediately and wrote few emails straight away. Maybe its bank or maybe they just refunded me but money came back within 30 mins after subscription. Looking at other comment I believe I am just lucky. Now gonna check every website before purchasing anything.

This is a scam.Do not use this company! They have fraudulently taken 3 months payment of £29 from my account. I thought I was paying a one off fee of £2 whilst volunteering with a charity to help with young adults applying for work. I hope they did not sign up too and are being scammed ... I used this as an example of how AI can help but now deeply regret it!

Utter scam - read the numerous reviews on here and don’t give them any details. The 7 day trail automatically subscribes you to a repeating payment that’s not obvious to cancel.Shame as it could have been a good service but it’s let down by unscrupulous payment scam. Wish I could give zero stars.

I paid £1.90 for a seven day trial and they took 2 payments £29.90. I emailed them to ask for a refund and they told me that it was a pre subscription fee. I did not authorise that. I have sent two correspondence asking for a return of my money. They emailed me back and said I could cancel. Nowhere on the site lets you cancel. HSBC stopped the payment. Cancelled my card. I got an email saying they refunded my money and gave me back the £1.90 Changing my stars to 4 as they responded promptly. It is a pity that their business practice lacks transparency, as it is such an easy site to use and I got a cover letter out of it. (Job pending).

SCAM ALERT ! Supposed to be trial for 7 days - kept taking money - told them to stop - months later they still taking money ! These people are thieves stay well away !

I am still waiting for a refund for a monthly charge that I did not subscribe too. I paid a fee for a week subscription, which they took as well as a monthly fee of £29.90 on the 7th April. After numerous emails, and a confirmation that my subscription was cancelled (impossible to find on the website) and that I will get a refund (within 10 working days according to their customer support) I am still waiting today 12th May.
