alliantcreditunion.org Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives alliantcreditunion.org a fairly high trust score on the platform: 81.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 81.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to alliantcreditunion.org's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning alliantcreditunion.org, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between alliantcreditunion.org and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of alliantcreditunion.org. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of alliantcreditunion.org, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. alliantcreditunion.org is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether alliantcreditunion.org has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether alliantcreditunion.org boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, alliantcreditunion.org.

The 2.5% cashback rate is nice, and that's what brings them up to two stars -- but customer service is terrible. They believe that the right way to deal with an angry customer is to be snarky in both their email replies and on the phone. I've been dealing with them on a credit card fraud issue, and they continue to insist I reach out to a merchant with whom I've never done business. In addition, when they turned off the card, they cut off my access to see last month's charges and failed to post last month's statement online. There's a good chance that I will soon be a former customer.
I was impressed and satisfied how the supervisor Lynn of the customer service reps answered questions I had about the delayed process of completing the process of a totaled car. I've been a member of Alliant Credit Union since 2007 and I still think it's the best Credit Union. Both my son's are now members. I'm always referring them to friends and family.
I asked that interest from my CD be put in my checking account. This was done immediately and I had enough money to pay bills!
My first savings bank that has allowed me to earn great interest and accumulate money for my grandies. I bless Suze Orman every time I think of her for she led me to you. Thank you!
Love Alliant Credit Union! I have a been a member since 1984! Whether it be lending, IRA's, checking or high yield savings, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Rodney M. regarding our accounts and he was fantastic! Professional, helpful, patience and resolved all of our issues. Just be sure to call between 8a-5p to talk to an actual Alliant employee vs their after hours team.
Alliant Credit Union always keeps me informed of deposits in a timely manner. They also quickly respond when I need to transfer funds to another business.
I've been using this credit union since the 1980s and have always had excellent service. I have no complaints at all.
Alliant Credit Union seems to be great so far as a credit union goes. I used to have a Bank Of America bank account before switching with Alliant. There rate on savings accounts seemed very reasonable. Also Alliant is an Online Credit Union fitting in the new modern age of technology aka Digital Age. I like the idea to that there support and helping people that don’t have access to computers and/or any form of electronic communication. For a forever bank to stay in they seem to be very reliable for the common person looking to get a bank account with fee on there checking account.
I am always happy with the service I get and the people at Alliant. Great company and caring knowledgeable people
Alliant has been user friendly. When I need them I can get a live person. Website is easy to navigate.
I took out a personal loan with Upstart/Alliant Credit Union.I whole heartedly regret it, this is a vile company, check reddit reviews. If you need help with consolidation this option will cost you so much more money than seeking help from a credit counselor.
Terrible companyThey have very adverse deposit policies They hold your money for over a week. Checks bounceNo one cares. No one returns calls.
These guys just get worse and worse. Not only can they not handle a simple ACH transfer on their website (you initiate the transfer, go through all the steps, and then nothing happens, then you have to do it again and again).Their support does everything possible to straight up ignore you. The only kind of official communication they offer is the messaging system on their website. No email. No chat. You leave a message, to which they typically respond with some automated script that's not at all relevant to your issue. If you want them to do anything you have to go to the regulatory bodies above them, get leverage on them, make threats, etc. Completely unprofessional and awful to deal with. They didn't use to be this bad, years ago, but now I'm overseas, don't have the luxury of switching so easily, and am stuck with these assclowns.
Whenever I have questions etc a person answers and they assist me.
Loved the initial interaction to open the Trust account. Product Support was exemplary.
The worst service regarding ATM cards. After 5 long phone calls trying to get a functioning ATM savings card, not a Debit visa card, strictly an ATM cash card, I still have not gotten the correct card. They keep sending the debit visa catd which we don’t want. Then, after clearly saying, DO NOT CANCEL MY HUSBANDS ATM Savings CARD, the only working card we have since we were leaving on an international trip the next day!!!!’ They cancelled that card. So unprofessional. Have yet to get any correct answer or card sent. Absolute nightmare of stress dealing with non-functioning agents who know nothing and screw up everything.
Alliant Credit Union cannot be trusted. They made a mistaken deposit into my wife's account, then, months later, took money out of my son's account to recover it. This is, obviously, illegal. They did all this without any communication, and it took us a month of constant calls and emails to figure out what was going on. Even then, the only way I was able to get any answers was by contacting them on LinkedIn. Member Services was friendly and did their best, but they were completely in the dark and seemed to be almost entirely disconnected from the back office. Alliant silently closed our case multiple times and basically treated us as though we were doing something fraudulent, even though they were the ones who both created and mishandled the situation.
This credit union is AWFUL. We have been making extra payments every month for a year, writing in the memo line to apply extra payment to the principal, but they don't do it, they apply it to the interest!! I spent 2 hours on the phone for them to tell me if I want it applied to principal I have to CALL EVERY TIME after I make the payment . That is absurd, I have had many different types of loans over the years, and never have I had to call after every payment.....if there's an overpayment it automatically goes to principal. Just awful customer service. Wish I could refi, but now interest rates are way higher than a year ago so I'm pretty much stuck.....learn from my mistake....run from this company!
I sent an overnight check in the amount of $39,744. They outsourced the payoff processing so they claim they cannot even talk with, or email them. They had an employee reach out and ask if she could get payment for the payment in November, two and a half weeks away, when I sent them a check to payoff the entire loan. She said they wanted to be sure to get it because she thinks they lost the check that was signed for and is in their building. I have spent 6 nightmarish days with no one helping. I've never seen a company that is run so badly and uncaring. Not one manager has reached out and I have gotten to the point of needing to email their leadership team with no response at all. I would tell you never, never use this company. $39,744 is a lot of money but not one person has shown any compassion for them losing the check and not processing the payoff.
Leave this company while your balance is still accessible and correct, they are circling the drain. Double billed debits getting worse and worse and they refuse to fix it and blame the vendors and then send me overdraft notices. It's like wells fargo stuff but actually due to incompetence vs evil. Then to boot their entire platform was down mobile AND web for a day which is virtual insolvency for an online bank. Things aren't getting better these days, run while you can!

“Service has really gone downhill”

I have been a member since 2016 and used to sing the praises of Alliant, but have noticed the last few times something needed escalation it seems to go to a void and die, to the point that I'm now opening an account elsewhere. The most recent example was after some fraudulent activity occurred, all my account numbers were changed and a new expedited debit card was to be generated. After four days, nothing appeared on the site about a new card so I called again, the lady I spoke to said she could see the notes about an expedited card with no fee, so she sent it on to the team that was to handle that and I would have an email by the end of the day with tracking info. It's now the next day and nothing. Their first-tier customer service is generally a good experience, but anytime something needs to be escalated beyond them it seems to fall into a black hole. Service Value Quality

“Biased Against College Women and College Grads”

Denied car loan for $12k with 1) credit score over 740 x 3 credit agencies; 2) substantial savings; 3) full time job x 5 years; 4) credit history x 7 years. My DTI calculation: 34%, well within industry standards for loan approval. Alliant DTI calculations: 80%! That calculation has us not eating. Tried contacting loan department for explanation. Blown off x 2 times with boilerplate, denial email--female agent wouldn't even speak to me on phone! Customer Service tried picking up pieces (yes, we have money in this shady institution... but not for long) by saying loan associate quoted "school loans" as root of denial. Recommendation: Find any, other financial institution to do business. Bank of America's track record, for example, is very sketchy; but BofA outshines these spinners by 300%! Not my idea of a credit union working for its members. Tip for consumers:Believe the negative reviews. Alliant us not in consumers' best interests.

“Overdraft fees”

They let spectrum(TWC) withdrawal like 5 times and charger me for $125 worth of overdraft fees. Not much help do now my account will go to collections

“Best site”

Good site forever Thanks for it and bets support inw orld. I proud for this site and murvelpus site Have agood sales

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
