airtransat.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives airtransat.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 88.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 88.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to airtransat.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning airtransat.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between airtransat.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of airtransat.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of airtransat.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. airtransat.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether airtransat.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether airtransat.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, airtransat.com.

First Time flying with Transat !! Ground staff all very good 👍 in flight staff a little rude and talking about other members of the crew in a derogatory way !!Food AWFUL!!!! INEDIBLE!!SEATS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! ENTERTAINMENT LAUGHABLE!!! SO NO WE WON'T BE FLYING TRANSAT EVER AGAIN !!
Once again called after a long wait to confirm my flight and seat, was told I was been transferred to another department as was booked via an agent. I did say to the agent I know I won’t get to talk to someone there she advised I would not have to wait and transferred me to a connection which told me they were closed for the day. Total joke! Not that I did not know this was going to happen. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I see my previous reviews on this web site were deleted, obviously they don’t like reviews about how they treat. Single dad traveling with his 4 and 12 year old kids and been totally treated like ****. That time they would not give me boarding passes after my bags were checked through and I had to wait 3 hours to 2 am in the morning only to have a porter agent help me . This company is dishonest disgusting and disrespectful. Do not use them!
DISGUSTING COMPANY. My mother has a rare bone marrow cancer and they will not make an exception for myself to switch my flight home to an earlier one if I need it. I may be her only donor. I got pushed back and forth for nearly two hours between them and the third-party (Gotogate, also horrible). It is not by choice I want to switch and like any normal company YOU SHOULD ALLOW EXCEPTIONS for medical emergencies. I was told to just purchase a new flight.USE ANY OTHER AIRLINE they were way more accommodating and understanding with my issue for my first leg of flight! Air Transat is heartless and is a horrible company who will not take responsibility or try to help.Where are companies compassion these days? They are super money hungry. I don't care about your policies, maybe you should change them if you have to keep apologising! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS AIRLINE.
Affordable and reliable.I see alot of 1 star reviews on here and have to wonder why. I fly quite often from Glasgow to Toronto and I've never had a bad experience. The crew on the ground are always helpful and never dismissive (they could teach Air Canada about customer service) But the crew in the air have always been fantastic. There are two flights attendants who I see alot on my flights and you can tell they have seen it all yet they still smile and have a wee laugh with people. I see them de-escalate rude or rowdy passengers occasionally and am always amazed at their composure and care for other customers. I wish I knew the names of the two girls who I always see on this flight because I would recommend them for special recognition.I cannot fault them and always try to thank them at the end of my flights. I recently flew over to Canada to say goodbye to my father and paid $500 for a trans Atlantic flight, 7 hours and two meals....my connecting flight (air Canada) was $2000 for a 1hr 20min flight with nothing other than grumpy staff, two days delays and lies. A pack of us were asking why the flight was cancelled when the air Canada rep (who looked bored and annoyed) told us "air Canada no longer flies in rainy weather" when asked to repeat that a few people in the crowd managed to record her repeating that absurd statement. I've only been delayed once with air Transat and the staff were apologetic, knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. 10/10Keep up the good work and if any of the flight attendants read this I want to say THANK YOU.....it's always a treat to see people who are great at what they do.
My flight has been delayed 12 hours without telling me in the counter or via email which was awful for me. I got stuck in the airport having no idea what to do for 4 hours. Beside, I couldn't do check in online for both return flights for unknown reason which was very frustrating to me. I had to wait until doing check in the counter and it was late to change my seat and my 2 years old doughter's seat.Plus, 2 passengers sitting in front of me in the return flight started yelling at me and verbally assaulting me under the pretext that they were upset with my two-year-old daughter who was sitting all the time in her seat and playing innocently. and the staff talked to me instead of stopping them. Imagine!!
I've flown twice with AT, and while the first experience was pretty bad, the latest was even worse. I had a 10-hour layover which seems like more than sufficient time to get my bag transferred to my next flight, but the bag didn't make it. The bag was found, but wasn't put on the next flight a week later (this is a once/week flight). Still waiting 7 days later and have not been able to get any customer service, explanation, apology, or compensation from Air Transat. Seems there's been minimal to no effort to correct their error.
Worst experience ever.Start to End it was a dreadful experience. They ruined my 5k worth of holiday by missing all my luggage.Flew from London to Dominican Republic to celebrate my birthday. It is 72 hrs they haven’t tracked my luggage yet.Spending my Birthday in Oversized baggy pyjamas.IATA should cancel their license as there is nobody in customer care to speak to.
One of the flight attendants was very confrontational following orders blindly, bossing people around with no rhyme or reason. One in particular would be incapable of deescalating a situation should the need arise but would escalate it. Some of the flight attendants need to realize we are paying customers not serving time in their jail until the aircraft lands!
One leg of my international journey was excellent; the other leg was disappointing, so I've given an average rating of my full journey on board Air Transat. The food and drink service was among some of the best I've experienced in coach; however, the seat on the first leg of my journey was unbearably uncomfortable and it was a long flight. I shifted from side to side every ten minutes. Also, ahead and behind our seats were two families with infants, one of which did not stop crying for most of the flight. It put everyone around us on edge. There should really be a policy to sit families with small children in designated areas of the plane. The IFE had a good selection of current titles including some HBO. I would fly Air Transat again but I would probably try to get seats in Club Class seats to avoid the crying babies and get some sleep if my journey was as long as the last one.
Awful experience (and I'm a frequent traveller).Flight FCO-YUL.We spent 9 hours on board, literally freezing. The central part of the airplane had a polar temperature, the front one had a normal one.Got a cold, frozen feet. I complained 5 times but we kept on freezing.
Will never fly TransaAt again..Really bad experience..We travelled London Gatwick to Dominican Republic via Montreal..Firstly there were no proper signs in LGW as to where their checkin desks are.We found them at last and our luggages got scanned through..to be collected at Punta Cana, Dominican through via Montreal..Just to add the food was awful and leg space wasn't great either. After a 7 + 4 and 2 hrs transit.. realised the luggage hasn't arrived..This has ruined the crucial 2 days of our 40th celebration .. Don't think it can be compensated..There was no Ground staff of Transat to deal with our misery.. This wasn't just us in fact 10 more people who travelled via same route had their luggage missing..
Wow this is really really bad, I’ve had my flight cancelled three days on the trot and then told I had to travel to a different airport, got there after paying two nights hotel rooms and a massive taxi bill to be told the plane has crashed into another plane on the runway at Miami airport???? Seriously what is going on here
We booked through Air Transat and I just called to request a bassinet and they tell me it’s an extra 72€ for each seat so an additional 216€ since we’re three passengers (one toddler) as these are considered extra leg room seats and are “highly coveted.” This is EXTREMELY unfair to families. I have never encountered this through any other airline and if I would have known I wouldn’t have booked through them.
We flew Gatwick to Vancouver in August 3019 and returned from Calgary. The outgoing flight was an hour late. The return flight was on time. We wanted I'm Vancouver well over an hour for our luggage. On board the seats are very hard, most uncomfortable. Entertainment ok but going out only had 11 films to choose from, we had 55 on therefore. You need to provide your own headphones or buy on board. The food is very minimalistic. You'll get one drinks round, sift drinks free beer etc to buy. Meals and snacks are minimal too. We took some sausage rolls on board and were very glad we did. Also the staff are very minimal, a bit formal, almost rude. Definitely unfriendly and unhelpful. You hardly ever see them. However the flight costs were a fair bit cheaper than the others so you get what you pay for, Don't expect a comfortable seat, good food or friendly staff. But you'll get there safely and at a decent price.
Booked £11K worth of flights with Air Transat, who notified us that the flight were now going to be operated by Skylink! So, we went from 7 seats across to 9 seats, and 53 to 68 rows.Air Transat refused to refund us (it's against their policy) even though it is a completely different experience.
Air Transat must be the world's worst international airline! I've flown with them 3 times - never again!!!! They must have the most uncomfortable seats anywhere on the planet - like rocks. The seat space is miniscule; as is the aisle space. An 8 hr flight Toronto - London Gatwick -Toronto is absolute torture! The only saving grace was the cabin flight attendants - they tried hard and were polite. How can an airline in this day and age not provide any TV screens/in-flight entertainment?!?! If you have to fly from London UK to Toronto, then go to Heathrow. Yes, it's not so convenient and more expensive, but BA/Air Canada at least provide a good service. I wouldn't even recommend AirTransat to my worst enemy!! NEVER, NEVER again will I fly with them!!!!!!
Horrible customer support. Not a user-friendly company. I would highly, highly encourage to not pick them for the slightly cheaper prices. They only think about making a profit off you and they don't care to get you to your destination. I had high hopes going for them but I was refused boarding by their manager and told to get out of the area because i am in the way or they would call security.
Airtransat is a greedy, and dishonest fight company who in case of an emergency, due to their fault, provides you with no refund and a lot of excuses. This was one of the worst flight experiences I have had in a while, and not only did I not enjoy my flight due to poor food quality and poorly regulated weather control system, I missed my next flight, they did not provide me with the refund or another ticket. Politely ignored my complaints and did not help in any way. Avoid this airline if so possible!
Bye Bye Air Transat !Flight Porto/ Montreal from 25 August 2023.I always travel with a carry-on suitcase and my computer bag. On the flight from Porto, my computer bag suddenly became too big (it had the same content and the same dimensions as always) and I was charged 100 euros to board it. This is what I call abuse and theft and the end of my customer relationship with Air Transat after 5 years of loyalty.
Due to Covid-19, I changed the date of my flight (pre flexibility policy, which kicked in 12hrs after I changed the date). I paid £150 to make the change. Called a day ago to request a form of refund. I was given a voucher in equal value!! Happy with the result! My aim to travel to Canada hasn't changed. Just delayed.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
