airthings.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives airthings.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 71.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 71.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to airthings.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning airthings.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between airthings.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of airthings.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of airthings.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. airthings.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether airthings.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether airthings.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, airthings.com.

I bought a Mini and tried to get it to connect to either a View Plus or a View Radon through Smartlink, without success. It won't connect and I have since tried with another two Minis with the exact same issue.I reached out to support early and got nothing but delaying questions for information that I've already provided. It's been weeks without any actionable help and now they seem to just don't answer at all.Save yourself the problem and don't buy anything from them!
It seemed to work, but there is no way to tell its accuracy. It stopped working after 6 months, even after I changed the batteries and hit the reset button numerous times. Customer service would not do anything to help without my receipt, which I looked for but could not find. So, no help.
I'm surprised to see the negative reviews regarding customer support! We have been using two Corentium units for over 7 years with no issues. They are very handy to have. One of the units began reading an error message so we emailed Airthings directly. Every communication was replied to promptly and they were very helpful in resolving the problem.
Corentium Pro worked with PC-based app. Does not work at all with Smartphone apps. I heaved it into the dumpster, even though it set me back $1200 four years ago. Customer service non-existent. Canadian incompetence at its worst!
Recently I bought an Airthings Corentium radon monitor. It's small and portable and super easy to set up, so we can check various places in our home (as well as our kids' student housing, for example.) After bringing it home from the store, I removed the protective battery tag and all seemed to go according to plan. However, it needed new batteries after 48 hours, and then again after another 48 hours. I contacted customer service by email, received a response within 24 hours. The result was a new model that they sent free of charge by DHL, with no need to return the original (which was clearly defective).Excellent customer service and the replacement model is working perfectly.
Inaccurate readings. The RH varies by +/- 8 % on different devices placed next to each other in the same room. Worst support I’ve ever experienced. They start to ask irrelevant questions that is time consuming to answer. I guess they try to get the customers to back away. Suddenly one day they just stop answering. Do not support them by buying their products…
Everything you read here is true. Customer Service is simply terrible. I purchased two Wave Plus units and wireless hub. One Wave unit stopped communicating after generating massive Radon levels. Support was useless. Don't purchase anything from this company.
Enig i andres anmeldelser. One thing is the units next to each other showing different values for the same measurement. Other is the Colours green yellow and red shows the AVERAGE and not current measurements. Say the temp or humidity or radon or VOC or whatever is high then the app and devices are showing the average which can be yellow and not as expected Red. The opposite is true as well. You see red og yellow values, open the Doors and Windows and nothing changes due to the moving average. What a piece of shi.Customer support is non existing and replys weird massages like from an AI service.
AirThings Wave is a product that is not ready for the market. It looks good, the instructions are good and the app functions well. For a while, that is. After a few hours, days, weeks or whatever the data transfer from the device to the app stops, data/statistics are lost from restarts and trying to make the darn thing work as advertised. I am using a plain and standard Samsung S7. Do read the PlayStore ratings for the Airthings App also before considering to buy the Wave unit.My device is soon going to be returned if not yet another uninstall, reboot, new install, new pairing etc solves the problem.
You have to juggle two separate apps depending on what you buy which is a poor experience. Getting to support is also painful, as you have to get past the bots first and even then each one support person is juggling many separate chat threads leading to confusion, delays, and more bad user experience. No way to call them, and their email support has problems as well. Can't really speak to the technical details since I never got past all the app-juggling and related confusion. Trying to return and get a refund and that is not going well either
I have read over the reviews below and want to confirm that there is NO CUSTOMER support ! As one user stated they must have rehearsed responses as they are usually not relevant to what you asked them. I asked for support for over two months with most email requests going unanswered [ accept the auto response] I sent the unit back with their call tag and found out the post office in Florida said no one was there at the location to accept it ! So it sits at the Po , and i still have no refund even though they realize it is at the POA terrible company and obliviously destined to bankruptcy given the lack of customer care !
Bought from eBay. Got faults after a few months. Contacted airthings who demand an invoice (from an approved reseller) showing serial number which, of course, I do not have; the serial number off the back of the unit should be enough but this is all about doing nothing folks. No support here.
No ability to change shipping address! When checking out in the USA the website does not give you an option to select a shipping address! it seems to just use the "billing address". Immediately, I sent airthings support an email and message to notify them of the mistake. Airthings did not respond in time and shipped the product to the wrong address. 3 days later and I still have not heard back from them.
It all sounds great on the website and you can buy some monitoring hardware, at a premium that you expect to be easy to use and reliable. Airthings is neither. The sensor unit WILL NOT WORK without their APP, and their APP is terrible. If you can get past the constant crashing you'll then find that the APP won't work without registering and demands internet access. Sign-up using a disposable email, and finally you can enable your device so the display will show readings instead of "Add Device". The App that I was forced to use, is apparently no longer supported or maintained - which means in future versions of iOS/Android it will completely stop working making everyone's devices worthless - this is why you need to avoid anything that won't function without an APP. I normally do but this fast isn't given on the website. That said, even after fighting your way through the gauntlet, it'll then only last a week before it stops reading anything and needs a return.
I purchased two View Plus units. One started showing high radon levels in a city that is not known for radon. So, I brought the other unit into the same room and the radon levels have remained low. Customer support is not supportive; they keep sending me messages that are not relevant and don't seem to really understand the issue. They asked me to update my app (for the Wave units, not View Plus). They asked me to take out the batteries, which I did and nothing changed. I sent screenshots and then they asked me to send screen shots. Finally, I contact Amazon and am getting a refund for the defective unit.
Review relating to Airthings 2960 View PlusSpartan looking physical device interface but the access to current and charted metrics via Android app is actually quite sleek (+1 star). Confusing two apps (with very similar logos) where I was told one is old the other new (as my device could use either of them at some point). Every few months the device keeps having connection issues. Few times I had to reset the device which means I lose measurement continuity. The support is present (meaning you can try talking to someone) but abysmal. I have used your device for less than 2 years by now but have wasted literally hours on various issues. I am heavy user of IoT and smart home gadgets and other networked equipment and I have to say the network stability and rescue process (re-adding) of your product is probably the most annoying of them all. The only thing that worked fine is the very first setup. While the device offers some nice features, the network glitching and your support means I regret buying it. This device should come equipped with breathing relaxation techniques tutorial as I need it every time I see the "No connection INTERNET"
I have been in contact and complaint with Airthings that one of my 5 devices doesn’t work and is going through batteries like nothing I have ever seen. Their customer service has been appalling. They won’t replace my device until they receive the device back from me, despite admitting finally (after 4 months) that the device is faulty. I’m so appalled by their customer service that I’m throwing the other devices in the bin and changing to another company - waste of time
At my birthday in November I got the Airthings Wave Plus. Now I have been testing it for a couple of month and it has been interesting to monitor the air quality and to be reminded to open the windows to get some fresh air inside. It does what’s promised and it is definitely the most advanced of the different air quality monitors in the market. The only downside is that I don’t get a notification on my smartphone at the moment without opening the app. It requires a hub to keep it syncing without a phone with the app opened. I have put in an order for the hub which I hopefully will receive soon. The customer service has been easy to get in contact with through the online chat and they have been very helpful answering questions about the device and app.
Whilst I was generally happy with my kit, the Hub stopped connecting to any device and the internet. It's not even 1 year old and it is within its warranty. Took it with customer service which they replied to my first messages and then it's 2 days and they do not respond. At the same time, they say...we respond to under 30mins on average. Have sent all documentation requested. If not responded, will take it with my card provider.
"The government has measured (2 months) my Radon concentration and it is about 200 Bq/m3.I bought your Corentium Home Radon detector and got the following short term average measurements (1 day): 215 - 260 -218 - 256 - 259 - seemed normal ... but this morning it was 1882 Bq/m3. This seems to me impossible So there is something wrong with the detector!?I explain:suppose, what was my case, that the detector measures every hour (average) 250 Bq/m3 during 23 hours, then the 24th hour the measurement has to be 39418 Bq/m3 to get a short term average in 1 day of 1882 Bq/m3, what I got this morningProof: (23 x 250 Bq/m3 + 39418 Bq/m3) / 24 = 1882 Bq/m3This is impossible because not realistic AND the upper display limit of the Detector is 9999 Bq/m3!I contacted the Client Sevice (jennylyn.juanites) , but I got no satisfying answer.Leo

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
