airportvanrental.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives airportvanrental.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 66.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 66.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to airportvanrental.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning airportvanrental.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between airportvanrental.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of airportvanrental.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of airportvanrental.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. airportvanrental.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether airportvanrental.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether airportvanrental.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, airportvanrental.com.

We made a reservation for a car. The plane was late and when we got there the office was closed. Went there when they opened the next day and was told there was no car available. We honored our side of the contract but evidently AVR doesn’t feel the need to honor their side.
Absolute poor service this company gives. Located in California near LAX (Manager Alisha and others) rude classless company to deal with. They gave than 48 hours notice to let us know that because we did not prepay for our rental they will have no vehicle available when arriving. Forcing us to re-rent last minute. Never use this company anywhere at all. Horrible company. Can’t make this garbage up. It’s like the Sienfeld skit.
Arrived at pickup point to call them at 12.04pm on a Sunday following delayed flight. Recorded message that they close at 12 on Sundays even though it’s an airport pick up. No sign of this on booking confirm. No reply to email asking for a partial refund. Terrible company, do not use,
Prepaid reservation was cancelled on a pretext and then was insulted by staff.
Horrible. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at renting a vehicle. We are trying to transport kids/parents for a robotics competition and have us picking up at the wrong location. They dont have a van where we are flying into and they won't refund our money!
Didn't have the style of car reserved, instead gave us a beat-up mini-van, literally scraped up. Passenger side of van had been damaged on both doors. Hits & dings on all sides of the bumper, so many it was hard to mark all the spots on their little vehicle drawing, we took cell-phone photos to make sure it was documented. Didn't like the $200 deposit, that wasn't communicated. Would not use the web-sight again for car rental.
The worst service i have experienced. It is contactless facility in Phoenix. Finding the van was hassle at 1st, They never returned me my $200 deposit stating that gas tank was empty. This was not true. The Van was half tank when i took it & pictures were sent too. I filled the tank to same level before returning. They said that their agent says that tank was empty which i know is a lie.Stay away from these scammers
Rental agency from Hell! They repeatedly emailed me the same directions for how to get picked up at the airport by calling a phone number. No one ever picked up! After an hour of waiting and trying to call them I finally got in touch with someone in the reservations department who sent me completely different directions! When I asked why I was repeatedly sent the wrong information the person on the phone couldn’t comprehend my question. I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor, but she wouldn’t get one. Once I arrived at their rental counter at the hotel they could have cared less that I had been at the airport for over an hour after landing. Surprise surprise when I asked to speak with their manager, they weren’t there. When I returned the car, guess what? The manager wasn’t there even though I had been told they would be. What a terrible company that treats customers like crap! Avoid these people at all cost!
rented a SUV from the Salt Lake City location in July 2019 for a week, car broke down 5 days later, called office customer support/ road side assistance numerous times without responses. Ending up renting another car from another car rental place to complete our trip.AVR refused to reimburse us for extra expense and even charged for their car problem.Their customer service phone line is just for show with voice mail only. No one there to assist customers when needed. If there is a neg rating this company deserved all of it.I would stay away from this company.
Friendly staff Waited about 30 min the van pulled up all the windows were extremely dirty as well as the inside I even found old french fries in the driver console missing cup holder and stains on the seats. The young lady who helped seemed embarrassed and took the van to the back for 10 min and did the best she could. The next day we discovered a burned out tail light and empty wind shield washer reservoir. I contacted customer service about my concerns they said next rental they will upgrade me sadly there won`t be a next time.
I only have experience with the Las Vegas AVR. When booking online they don't mention their hours are 10am to 4pm every day! Was told there was a charge for after-hours. No idea how much, just very glad i paid for cancellable (48hr before pickup)You cannot phone them (You can but always an answering machine that has a full mailbox). Phoning reservations after booking online is hopeless, Such poor phone quality that you are guessing what they say, and such attitude from them. The chat person seemed nice but they only answer questions between 15 and 1/2 hour after you ask them. I don't have 3 hours to waste dealing with them.
On Feb 13th 2020 I rented a vehicle ( reservation made few months in advanced at AVR Van Rental ( LAX Branch California ) To make the long story short, I received a $800 bill for a 1/8 of an inch chip on the windshield, while I was told during the the time of pick up, not to worry and or describe anything larger than a quarter coin. I’m sure I’m not the only one who got SCAM with this situation and would like to make everyone aware of the type of business they do. They still holding $ 200 dollars from the time we sign the bill and refused to return the funds.
They bring out a vehicle that is not fit to drive , then try to get you get an upgrade for more money. I rented two minivans on line with unlimited millage and but I was told I have only 350 miles per day, now I'm stuck with this rental going out of town over 1600 miles and only have 1400 per rental , I have always rented van from AVR out of town and never had a problem, but here at Chicago midway they want to rip you off ...NEVER AGAIN Vicky Nelson reservation# AVR9032479
I booked an SUV in Colorado in the winter, AVR no problems. Fox and Thrifty car rental both tried to extort more money at the counter. Up selling is expected; ski rack, prepaid gas, insurance, etc. But, substituting a 2wd Hyundai for a Jeep Cherokee is a rip off.
A WEEK before our trip to Austin, Texas, Airport Van Rental CANCELED OUR VAN that WE HAD PREPAID. When I called, I was told they'd call back and they never did. Later, I called back and was on hold for 40 minutes. The next day, I called back and was directed to someone who was not the manager. This person refused to transfer me to the manager, Tupou Fifita. They did not try to secure another van. They did not move a van from another location. They did not connect us with another rental agency. They did *absolutely nothing* to try to fix things. We have 9 people and all the airport cars have been sold out in Austin for 2 MONTHS. There's simply not other airport options. I have no idea how our trip will continue given how incompetent and unhelpful they are.
I would give AVR at Las Vegas airport a rating of 4 1/2 stars. Loved nice selection of minivans, which is perfect for our trip, since we transported people and golf clubs. AVR had better price and selection than many of the more popular car rental agencies. The only drawback had to walk a bit far.
I'm from europe, rented a car from AVR. despite I took insurance they also took the $200 deposit. When the car was returned they could return me the deposit, claiming the card was blocked. I've contacted my bank, confirmed the card is ok, used it in another store - but they still couldn't process the refund and said they'll mail me a check - which I cannot use in europe. So now I have to file a charge back. I suspect they do it on purpose. "Support" is very ignorant.
The minute we arrived at Airport Van Rental on June 13th, to pick up our pre-booked van, our vacation plans screeched to a halt. There was no one there. We lugged our belongings from our rental car, expecting a quick handover, only to be met with a deserted office and a sinking feeling in my stomach. Then came the email - the one containing crucial locker access instructions, buried in my spam folder! Finally, after wrestling with a rusty key and locating the van, after transferring our luggage from our rental car to this van our relief was short-lived. The engine coughed, sputtered, and died. Two hours crawling around in the hot Las Vegas sun, with a screaming toddler in tow, trying to contact a company that didn't seem to exist, pushed us to the edge. The road side assistance that we had taken did not work either. We called the number on the back if the key for hours and only heard music.Defeated, we piled back into our friend's car, our dream vacation itinerary replaced by the nightmare of scrambling for extra hotel rooms and a looming Airbnb cancellation fee. We ended up booking 3 rooms in Las Vegas for the night, cancelled our Airbnb at the destination and made a Royal mess of the plans for our rest of our vacation. From that day onwards till date I have been trying to contact the manger of this amazing organization but no one responds. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. They appear cheap but they are not worth the hassle.
I had a rental scheduled for the end of May in conjunction with a trip to the Grand Canyon. But my Grand Canyon trip got cancelled when the covid-19 hit in March I had to cancel my reservation with airport van rentals. Unlike businesses I had reservations with, this outfit would not refund my money. Would only give me a voucher. The problem is I don't have any of their outlets where I live in the Southeastern us oh, so the voucher is worthless to me. I contacted their customer service but they refuse to do anything. Will never rent from them again.
I hadn't heard of this company before this weekend, so was a bit nervous to use them. Found out about them on Travelocity when my vehicle broke down. They had good hours & I got a full sized SUV for pretty much half the price of an economy car! When I had to extend my rental for another 4 days, I got it for another 50% off! (Note: go thru Travelocity if you have to extend, otherwise you would pay more.)Good staff, polite & cooperative. The SUV was a newer model, clean inside & out.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
