acronis.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives acronis.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 89.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 89.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to acronis.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning acronis.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between acronis.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of acronis.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of acronis.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. acronis.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether acronis.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether acronis.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, acronis.com.

A Waste of Money: I'm writing this review to warn others about the poor product and terrible customer support of Acronis True Image. This software is completely incompatible with newer MacOS versions, rendering it useless and a waste of money. The customer support team is incredibly slow and unhelpful. Despite providing them with multiple error logs and following their troubleshooting steps, they were unable to resolve the issue. They even missed 3 scheduled remote support sessions, leaving me frustrated and wasting my time.If you're looking for a reliable backup solution for your Mac and Apple devices, I strongly advise avoiding Acronis. Their product is outdated and their customer service is abysmal. (Now I've left a review on here I'm sure they will pop up below with a comment to say "We are sorry to hear this, please get in touch with us so we can resolve." But this is far too late and does not resolve the issue of MacOS being unsupported.)
Yippee! My backup issues were resolved. All is working fantastic. Huge kudos to the professionals at Acronis for sticking with me and tracking the fix action progress. Acronis even reached out to another vendor to consider some changes to their application update that may have caused problems. I believe that fixed the problem. I give high praise to the Acronis professionals. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Used Acronis True Image until OSX 15 was released from Apple. Acronis didn't give out any warning that True Image wont work with OSX 15 before the release nor is there any communication about this until now.Support closes all tickets regarding issues with "OSX 15 isn't supported".How can Acronis call themselves "Security experts" if communication is NOT on their Agenda. How safe is my data with a company that does not communicate mayor problems?
Bravo !!! We have good old "Acronis True Image" back. I have been using this software for 10 years. When the company decided to incorporate cyber protection, things started to malfunction, especially on laptops. Unexplainable slowness and hours of trying to understand which services to deactivate to find what we use the software for: "Making backups". With the new version of "Acronis Cyber Protect", the company has made the decision to return to "True Image" and deactivate all these protection "toys" which were light years away from modern protection software. I admit I did some research to direct us to another company for backups. After preliminary tests, it is clear that performance is back WITHOUT the cybersecurity functions. Good job guys!
Paid for them to install program. Both took over one month and 8 hours to install and then could only do so by deleting several of my completely new programs. TERRIBLE customer service, unable to reach US based workers. Coat me both the cost of the program plus guy to fix everything they broke. Horrible experience. Would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!!
I receive a marketing email from Acronis Backup and since I was looking for a backup, thought I would give it a try as the special price was reasonable. I later discovered it was a subscription but that wasn't the issue I had. Following the link in the email I was sent to Fastspring (a reseller to buy). Purchase made. Following instructions I set up an Acronis account but Acronis didn't show my purchase or serial number. When Acronis couldn't find any record of my purchase I asked for a refund. I was told had to go to Fastspring for that. I contacted Fastspring who told me to go to Acronis. Acronis then said I had to go to Fastspring... back & forth. I am simply out the money. I am a retired IT professional and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had buying online software. Even Microsoft was easier to get a refund for bad software.RESPONSE:In response to the Acronis reply, I find it odd that in all the emails they never said that. It would have simplified the issue had they bothered to tell me what they now say in a review. After looking at the link provided the same message is given:"Acronis cannot refund purchases made at retail outlets and from resellers. Please contact your reseller or retail outlet." The retail outlet ( FastSpring) then says to ask acronis. The circle begins.Buyer Beware
I believed it was important to backup my computer and this product was recommended. My old computer crashed and now I'm trying to recover my drive to my new computer, and the product fails spectacularly. I've spent 6 hours over 2 sessions to try to make the product work, to no avail. Every time the product reboots the computer, the program is closed and no recovery file is able to continue the operation. I spent hours believing I was protecting my data, only to find I wasted them all, and for $100 I can have a computer store technician pull all my data off painlessly.
As a former IT Guy, the saying goes you have 1 Backup you really have NONE (cuz Tapes, another HardDrive, can Fail or Heaven forbid all get damaged same time as your device by Water or other Damage or even Theft). It is why I LOVE ACRONIS HOME/OFFICE. I do Backups to my External Drive (actually 2 copies, 2 different External Drives) as well as with their Cloud Services. I am COVERED and you should be too... Hope to never have to use it, but their RECOVERY (USB, CD, DVD, whatever) Tool is something that gives me "Peace of Mind" too.... Now, if only I could get them to make me a Paid Spokesperson :) LOL.
I use Acronis CyberProtect Home Office to back up my computer to a USB drive. It functions flawlessly. I recommend paying the $15 to have their professional install it. Now I have it doing a full backup followed, for the next five days by an incremental backup, and then repeating the cycle. Works great: I highly recommend it.
Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office does a great job on daily data backups and weekly full system backups on multiple computers. It is great to know that your data and your computer system software and settings are safe and always available when needed. Also the latest versions of the Acronis software are02 readily available and easy to install.
I have been using Cyber Protect Home Office on my own Windows machines for several years. The most important thing to note is that it just works. No fuss, no muss. I use both local SSD storage and Acronis Cloud as backup targets. When I have needed to restore files, it is very easy. I also have a number of independent clients and business clients to whom I have recommended products from Acronis and all are highly satisfied.
I have used Acronis or several years now. It is encouraging to know that if I need a backup when the PC has been affected somehow, I can retrieve it from my external drive. My brother also uses this extensively and I have set up other folks' computer with Acronis as well. Thanks for having such a great product and always working to improve it. I do have a hard time sometimes navigating the options, like having the computer bring up a quick link to Acronis when starting up. My brother is a programmer by trade and often helps me navigate to fix PC issues.
I subscribed to Acronis to back up my home iMac in August 2022. It seemed to work for a few weeks, so I stopped checking it on the assumption that it was working. When I checked again in September 2024 it had stopped working in late August 2022 and had not done a backup since. Acronis did not notify me, but they kept on taking the money in 2023 or 2024. Not even 1 email was sent to tell me that there was a problem. £150 paid for nothing. I am so lucky that my iMac kept functioning. I requested a refund for 2 years at least, but they refused.
So far, I've not had to recover from a hard drive crash so I can't comment on the recovery feature of Acronis. The software pretty much hides in the background and, as far as I can determine, does a decent job. However, often I receive notice of a failed backup and I'm not sure why that happens, possibly due to the computer being off when it is scheduled for backup?I believe Acronis has been good at catching phishing and other scamming attempts.
I started using the recovery tool in 2007 and it became my standard in 2011. I've had several hard disk failures over the years and have never lost data. The 'set and forget' till you need it is critically important. I don't have time to not have access to terabytes of my work files and the tool restores quickly regardless of where I need to place the files.
I have been using Acronis for many years. Not being a tech expert I have found the customer support most useful and have received replies extremely quickly. The cloud storage works very well and have used it twice to recovery files. All the added protection with the latest upgrades gives me quite confidence that my PC is well protected. .
Acronis software is solid, unlike most other programs, which can be glitchy. Every day I read another article about ransomware, but I sleep well at night knowing that my data is 100% protected. There's really no good reason not to have this product and if you think there is, I hope that you don't have to learn the hard way. If you take a minute to really think about losing your data, it can make you sick to your stomach.
Reliability. What I don't like is the difficulty in making a full recovery. Sometimes, a backup is not viable. I know the backup is being made and I check up that there is recoverable data. It would be great if the data could be more compacted so that more backups can be stored ona given disc. I realize that this can impact on assurance that data is recoverable. Just saying
I have had Acronis on my computer for several years now, and I can assure you that this is the real deal.. With all the computer hacking and data thieves out there today, Acronis is something you can't be without. I have used it to recover my entire computer data base dozens of times and it is easier to use and the results are flawless. A real bonus is that all the new security upgrades continue to be sent without any additional charges, unlike other backup software out there. I am not a computer expert, and i don't need to be with Acronis. Anyone can use it without a problem. Rep. Gary KadowFlorida 5th District
I rely on Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office to keep all my work computers backed up. It takes a really long time to do the first backup if you have an ISP like I do which is Spectrum. The upload speed is very slow, typical for cable Internet, so be patient. This also becomes a factor if you install new software or save a new bunch of photos, music, or videos on the PC you're keeping backed up. I keep hoping Google or ATT fiber will get to my house so I'll have a fast symmetrical service. Some day...But overall, I'm happy with Acronis, certainly not their fault I have a crappy ISP!

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately.
