24petwatch.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives 24petwatch.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 64.4. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 64.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to 24petwatch.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning 24petwatch.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between 24petwatch.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of 24petwatch.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of 24petwatch.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. 24petwatch.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether 24petwatch.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether 24petwatch.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, 24petwatch.com.

“Ridiculous”
Where do I even start? I have tried so many times to contact them about various issues - replying to emails, website contact forms, Facebook (posting and messaging), and have NEVER EVER EVER gotten a response! I clicked on links in emails, links on their website, even tried to see if I could report a pet as lost or found (which gave me an ERROR page!), and nothing. Completely USELESS. Avoid at all costs! Service Value
“Worst customer service staff who are not bright”
Having been with his company since 2017 and having just added another pet to my policy, these people are just plain stupid you get told repeatedly someone will follow up with you and no one does then you get some snappy brain dead idiot on the phone named Brandy who doesn't have the common sense to run out of a burning building worst company ever don't use them. I cannot stress enough. This company is not worth the effort. Worst customer service, worst management, and the stupidest employees that walk the Earth. Service Value Quality
“Website is awful”
Wont let me add my address, says it doesn't exist. How can my pet be returned if they won't accept my address? Then when trying to add a new pet, colour is a required field but they don't have her colour, and won't let you go forward unless you hit "other" - which isn't actually in the drop down list. So I have to say she's a colour she isn't, or can't register her. Then it's also required to choose the clinic she was chipped, but there are zero options in the drop down box, they tell you to hit "other" if I don't see my clinic, but again, there is no "other" in the drop down list. So I can't even register my second pet, and if my first ever gets lost, they won't know where to return him. Garbage site. Tip for consumers:If you have an option to use a different company, do so. Products used:Microchipping Service Value Quality
“I wish I did better research.”
Complete scam. I spent over 600 on the insurance alone in the first yr. After spending over $800 in pet bills I only received $85 back. I was under the impression that certain things were covered that were not. My dog had an allergic reaction to a vaccine and when I put in the claim they said "could've been prevented" didn't get reimbursed for that either. DO NOT get this insurance. They will rob you. Service Value Quality
“No help with found pet”
Had an ID number called to request info on found pet. Customer service agent stated its a no owner contact and im not going to repeat it again. 6/22/23.5:20pm eastern time. Rude unhelpful unsympathetic. Service Value
“Worthless insurance”
We've had this insurance for our pit bull for 5 years. In that 5 years we've tried to make 2 claims, both denied. Be smart and take the money you would pay for this worthless insurance, put it in a savings account and at least get interest on it, and have the money to pay for your pets care. That won't be denied! Service Value Quality
“Receive an email from 24petwatch. Stating important verify your account...”
Smells like a scam to UPSELL you. I paid for the chip placement in my pet a one-time fee. Now they are trying to convince you to upgrade your account for one year fee of $49 following yrs $20.00... Lifetime fee of $100.00. Or the Lifetime Plus for $200.bucks... Better to remove the chip from my pet and go with a legitimate company...
“Watch your credit card charges”
I called to purchase the lifetime protection plan. I agreed to pay for that and specifically said no to any other extras. Yet I was billed $22.85 for a bone tag with the chip number. I already have a tag with the number. I specifically said no, but was still billed. I called customer service and they refused to reimburse me.
“Buggy interface, search doesn't always work”
When I search on the chip number within my org, the interface doesn't show the animal that is registered. Submitted a request to add a serach by name, never got a reply, nothing changed. Also could not find a setting to share the info with the finder. Found that it is set to No by accident when did a general search.
“Crooks-Scammers-Fraudsters-Greedy-Nasty-Incompetent”
Please Beware! You will NEVER, EVER, EVER receive payment for anything no matter how much documentation you submit. I've paid for 2 years of insurance and NOTHING has ever been reimbursed. They find loopholes to reject your submissions! They find reasons not to cover exams, emergencies, wellness (even though I am paying for wellness coverage). They are horrible and not worth a penny! Tip for consumers:Please beware- DO NOT EVER CHOOSE THIS INSURANCE! They are a waste of time and money!! Products used:This is for pet insurance, of which no services sere offered and reimbursement NEVER occurred! Service Value Quality
“Deleted my entire rescue of registered chips when bought from Michelsons”
I have a rescue. I'm missing 30+ animals from 24PetWatch simply bc Michelsons betrayed us all and threw away their massive, reliable, free, use to use database into the hands of one of the worst companies out there. I'm going to have to go back and manually enter every one of them. And I never even got a final list from Michelsons. I only found out bc an animal I adopted out 6 yrs ago needed to be returned and they couldn't reach me. Michelsons database is completely gone. 24PetWatch is a sad sack of shlt. I'm absolutely appalled at this massive important resource just being thrown into the dirt pile. What happened? This throws my entire rescue into chaos. Animals will dle bc of this. This is horribIe. Tip for consumers:This is a life and *******@th issue and 24PetWatch and Michelsons is to blame Products used:Microchip registry Service Value Quality
“Don't waste your money”
These people do not have your pets best interest in mind. Rescued a kitten and because on her initial wellness visit it was noted she had loose stools, she will never be covered for anything GI related. You don't need to be a Vet to know that stress when adopting can cause issues like that. And she's a kitten. Transformation through the early months can exhibit similar results. Unfortunately for my kitten, that is not of their concern. Even with a phone call and letter from my Vet stating this is not the case that she has diarrhea. So now she won't have insurance her whole life because no one else will take her with this "preexisting condition " that she never had. 1 star only because it was needed to submit review.
“Scammers”
I've moved and tried to update my contact information for my dog's microchip. The only way I can "unlock my account for editing" is to purchase a $100 lifetime plan that claims to include a bunch of services for which I have no need. Basically my dog has a useless chip that won't get him home. He got this chip at the animal shelter. It's pretty low of 24petwatch to take money from a nonprofit for their useless product. Tip for consumers:My tip: get a microchip from a different company. Service Value
“Greedy - Cruel - Use a competitor such as Home Again”
It was brought to my attention by a fellow diabetic dog owner that if you want to add a medical condition to your dog's records and indicate that they could need life saving medicine within hours, it will cost you $25 to ad this info?!? I called their *******424 number and confirmed this. That's very disappointing to put it politely. Shame on them. Their competitors do not play that game. They need to change that.
“ZERO STARS!”
I contacted this company when I found someone's dog well over two hours later the company has never even contacted the owner fortunately I was able to contact the owner through our local animal resource Center and they came and picked him up right away. Cares about pets?... I don't think so.
“Horrible buggy website”
Took forever to get into the site and then crashes, won't load pictures, overly busy front page and generally a mess. The site won't allow me to upload a picture saying that it is too big. Very hard to get on and they just want to up sell you on "protection plans" and pet insurance that they also sell. I would not have had my pet microchipped with this companies product if I knew. When I called for assistance to their help line, I waited 15 minutes then call was dropped before the end. If he is every lost, good luck getting on the website or service to be able to contact me. Service Value
“24PetWatch Review - don't fall for this scam!”
I adopted a rescue with a chip. The shelter said it had been registered with FoundAnimals, now owned by 24PetWatch. I called to update/transfer contact info and was told that this was only possible if I paid $49/year or $199/lifetime. I said I thought it was free (their website states this in multiple places). No, said Matte, the agent. He fast talked me, saying I should pay now, over the phone. I said I had to think. He was annoyed. I did some research. I called back, got another agent, who apologized (good cop, bad cop?) and said that was not true, that transfer and registration are FREE. This agent was transparent about it and said there had been other complaints. Nutshell: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY to transfer chip info or register your chipped pet. The paid options are for add-ons (which the new agent did try to sell me), but this first sketchy guy made it sound like they will not contact you if the chip is scanned on a lost pet. He lied, flat out. BTW: I called back to get more info about the chip. Spoke to yet another agent who ALSO said because I hadn't paid I would not be contacted if the pet was found! Only after I interrogated him did he reluctantly admit that was not true. This is obviously company policy (and pay must be heavily commission-based). This is on 24PetWatch, not just individuals, lying. Now, I am very nervous about them. Their practises are not just unethical, but probably illegal. Tip for consumers:Their agents tell you you "have to" pay to have existing microchip info transferred or registered. This is a lie. It is free (just like their own website and blog says). If you are considering getting your new pet chipped with these scammers, don't. Use another company! Products used:Existing microchip implanted by animal shelter Service Value Quality
“Scam”
Charged $100.00 when it is free to register. On the scale of fraud! No where on the sight does if give you the option to register for free after the microchip is given.
“RUN FAR AWAY!”
Unless you buy a plan, this company only sends out an automated notice once a day. My dog scaled our fence and got out at 7, was found at 7:30 and back home by 8, but by NOON I still hadn't heard from this crummy company. Home Again gets much better reviews and gets in touch in a timely manner regardless of whether you buy a plan or not.
“Thieves!”
I have been paying into this insurance for the last 8 years. Last year my dog was tested for pancreatitis which cost me over 500. I got my Vet office to send the invoice twice, just to make sure they got it. My vet also sent it to me so I would see what they sent. It was all in order, everything was there. I knew they did direct deposit so I left it at that. I was busy working and had very little spare time and I forgot about it. Fast forward to this year-I looked back into my bank account to make sure they paid me as my dog needs another procedure. I ended up calling them and they claimed "no" claims came through on my account. The receptionist told me that if I could prove they sent it I may be able to get my money. I talked to my vet and they sent me all the paperwork they had sent them but, that wasn't good enough. I had to have the fax receipt. While I'm waiting for the vet to send the fax receipt I receive an email stating that my claim was rejected due to it taking too long. (4 days)! This has to be the worst pet insurance company ever! My policy is up to $52. A month and I've never gotten anything from them. The procedure my dog needs now is his teeth and they don't cover teeth, so I'll get nothing for that either? Theives! Service Value Quality
“Thieves!”
We should have read these reviews before we signed up with them. They totally lied to us. The sales rep said our kitten would be covered even though we told them he had a preexisting condition. Then when we submitted a claim to get reimbursement, we waited several months before we called to ask what the hold up was. That's when we were informed our kitten wouldn't be covered d/t its preexisting condition. When we informed them of what we were told, they replied we never should have been told that! Well we were and now what are you going to do about your sales rep LYING to us? Nothing! But then asked if we would still like to stay with them? Really? Of course, we like getting scammed! We're glad it was only $30. Could have been a lot worse. STAY AWAY! If it sounds too good to be true, it is!
“Ask your vet which microchip they are using.”
When I asked my vet to microchip my papillon puppy I neglected to ask which chip they were using. I assumed it would be reputable. I was wrong. When I registered the chip number I wanted lifetime enrollment and none of the other services they offered. I was quoted $200 for lifetime enrollment. In comparison AKC Reunite is $20. I refused to pay 24 pet watch and enrolled in the AKC Reunite because they will enroll any chip number even if it isn't one of theirs. Later the Pet Watch price was $85 and they then explained the higher price included training videos. I wasn't told that originally. After 30 years showing and titling dogs in obedience and breed completion, I don't need $115 worth of training videos! After a year, they tried to charge my credit card for some on line vet program without my permission. Luckily I don't have the same card number and asked for confirmation that my $85 payment was for lifetime enrollment. I got an email saying it was, but I have no trust in these people. I was so disgusted by this that I switched to a different vet. I got a very good quality ID tagless collar from AKC Reunite and am confident my dog will be protected in spite of Pet Watch. Tip for consumers:24 Pet Watch is not reputable Products used:Microchip ID for dog Service Value Quality
“They will purposefully scam you”
Absolutely awful experience with this company so far. The agents are rude and they will scam you if you are not careful. I had to call in to register my pets microchip because of an issue on the website (this is likely on purpose so they can take advantage of you), on Wednesday November 9,2022. The agent ( was told her name was Semiyah by the second agent who said he couldn't help me) told me the final step in the process of registering my pets microchip was purchasing a package and convinced me that I needed the lifetime package and said she also couldn't share anything with me to look over until I completed the process (i. E. paid). She was deceitful and led me to believe I needed to purchase the plan in order for my pet's microchip to work. When I was sent the details of the lifetime package later I realized that this wasn't true. I DO NOT want or need this lifetime package. I tried calling in the very next morning at 8:00 am and was told only the agent that sold me the package could refund it and she wasn't in yet but would call me later, she never did. Tip for consumers:Don't let them tell you you need to buy a package for your pets microchip to work, you absolutely don't but they will try to lead you to believe this. Products used:I was scammed into buying a package i didn't want or need
“24PetWatch does not have your pet's best interest”
ZERO STARS! I rescued a dog that was chipped and registered to 24PetWatch. They make it very difficult to change ownership even when you have a letter from your vet's office confirming this. Often times, pets don't stay with their original owners (unfortunately, mostly due to stupid excuses). 24PetWatch holds you hostage into paying for their "lifetime" membership fee $75 so you can update your information in case you move. They will not update your information after 365 day's if you move to another house, state etc. It's all about money with them. My vet's office was on hold for over 30 minutes trying to reach someone to change and confirm new ownership. No one ever answered the call from 24PetWatch. I have doubts they are available "24 hours" like they claim if you can't reach anyone on the phone. My vet's office said they have never heard of such horrible business practices and making it difficult to update the ownership registration for a micro-chipped pet. They clearly do not care if they have the correct ownership records or invested in updating their ownership registration records in case the pet gets lost. This place sucks!
“SCAM - Please stay away!”
They overcharged me and just transferred my dog ownership to someone else without even asking! I'm in shock and disbelief! Tip for consumers:SCAM - Stay away! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
