Is 1800contacts.com Legit?

Was told that 1800 contacts beat or meet anyone’s price in the USA .. well they can’t beet Warby Parker .. asked manager if they can match Warby Parker’s 25 percent off contact .. she said no .. even though Costco and Warby are much cheaper .. manager tried to throw in my face that deal for new customers and that’s why they wouldn’t honor the lower price .. no where on website does it say anything about new customer. No wonder you are suing them instead of being cheaper and better. .. sad I use to use 1800 for last 5 years .. Then they have become petty and non helpful . I not paying almost double what I paid last year for exactly the same product .. don’t let them treat you like a clown

I ordered from Lens.com a month ago & paid $68.74 per box x 4 boxes for a total of $274.96 + tax was $342.87 + $9.95 shipping with a $75.00 rebate which brought the total to $277.87 after rebate. 1800 Contacts said they could match that but instead added tax on top of the Lens .com price of $342.87. The total with tax & shipping was $378.61 minus the $75.00 rebate came to $303.61 so I paid $25.74 more than Lens. Com ordering through 1800 Contacts. Never again

Know your insurance rules before ordering, they will NOT do what's in your best interest. First time ordering 7 months ago they told me I could use insurance benefits, making my order just $29. Awesome right?Received my annual exam today and need to update my prescription. I last bought lenses & frames in 2022, time for new ones using my benefits. Turns out those benefits were used by 1-800 to discount my contacts, little did I know that the dollar value towards new glasses would have been around $500 vs the $130 I received towards contacts. Are they obligated to tell me this? No, and I own up to not reading the fine print. But they do know that vision insurance benefits towards contacts and lenses/frames come out of the same bucket, but you get more for your money with the latter. Now I have to either wait 6 months to purchase and get my benefit discounts or shell out the extra cash. I will never order from 1-800 again just on principle.

Sad to say but this Company has changed and not for the better it seems.Their price for the same contacts was is Not the lowest by far! When My Wife was told 3 different things about various issues on 3 calls.For example during one call She was told there was no price matching, then when She called again She was told that there Were ways to bring the cost down but the agent never got around to explaining how, and finally on the 3rd call the agent changed the price 3 times! The "price matching" option involved 800 Contacts refusing to bill the vision insurance because *00 Contacts Would match a lower price.Games like this really reflect poorly on 800 Contacts and in Our opinion and We do not plan on doing business with Them in the future.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company. My original order was for daily contacts, but due to an error on my optometrist’s prescription, I needed to send in the correct one. Despite promptly submitting the updated prescription and clearly stating over both email and phone that I wanted daily contacts, I was still sent biweekly lenses.I’ve had to explain the situation multiple times to different representatives, and changes to my order were made without my approval. I was charged more than my original order, and the resolution offered—a discount on a future order—feels inadequate given the repeated mistakes and lack of accountability.This entire process has been unnecessarily stressful, and I now regret using this service. At this point, I’m seeking a full refund and will not be ordering from this company again.

Two times in a row I have received the wrong order from 800 Contacts. They say they will ship the correct one and once again, send the incorrect script. Save yourself the headache and order from Walmart vision. They are less expensive anyways (I use them for the price match) and you can return them to a local store if wrong order is shipped. Hoping the 3rd time is a charm with this order but not holding my breath.

This company is less than helpful. They first agreed to fill my order, then said they couldn't for no specific stated reasons. They flip flopped on thier decision twice. When I responded to thier email asking them to cancel my order, they blocked me. When I called them to figure out what was wrong and they wanted me to get an online prescription done even though my prescription wasn't expired.I finally asked for a refund, I hope I get it.

They claim to beat any price on contacts I've found the price cheaper on two different sites so far and the rebate? You have to purchase for full price just to wait to get 20 back on a gift card how is that helpful?

Terrible customer service..they lie like crazy. Sitti g here looking at a shipping label without my apt number and they are telling me it’s there. They lied about how it happened afterwards, but eventually admitted they didn’t actually know how they handle shipping. Double charged too..terrible company and just dumb as rocks customer service.

Customer service is terrible!! They didn't verify my prescription prior to processing my order. They didn't even have my written prescription yet nor did they call the office to verify my rx. I received the wrong contacts, in their error now I have to pay to return them and they ate rude giving me very little direction how to return these unusable contacts!! I would not recommend!!!

My gas permeable contact lens broke in my eye and caused stabbing pain. Luckily it didn't cause permanent damage. However the company refused to replace it saying that they provide these at cost and maybe go to an eye doctor first. The cost of going to an eye doctor would have been higher than the cost of replacing the lens. This is not a company that stands behind its problems

Customer service was great with Colleen yesterday evening! Colleen provided answers to my questions and solved a problem for me immediately! Best of all I had a real live person answer the phone! She took care of everything without transferring my call!

Spent $20 for rush shipping to get some colored contacts for an event. Ordered on the 1st, needed by the 12th. I sent them a script to make the process speedy. Didn't receive until the 23rd and they gave me the wrong prescription strength. They "verified" it with my doctor who "approved it". Called my doctors office and they said they have received no calls for my eyes, office lady said they note those types of calls in my file, and they certainly didn't approve a script that was too powerful. Company is doing an exchange but I wonder how long I'll have to wait this time!

Worst customer service ever. I uploaded my prescription and they canceled my order telling me I didn't order the brand on my prescription. Then told me that a contact exam and prescription is brand specific. Bullcrap. I have worn contacts for 20 years and NEVER had to order any specific brand. EVER!!!! SO I paid 135.00 for a prescription for only 1 brand? No.... Complete nonsense. That's like me ordering glasses and you telling my my prescription was for only one brand of lenses. It's a flat out lie and I am thinking of sueing them. If they are doing this to hundreds or thousands of people it's fraud on a grand scale. I am filling with BBB and whoever will listen about these snake oil salesman.

I normally love 1800 Contacts, but this msg be the last time I order from them. I did their online eye exam, only to have to retake the picture portion because the optometrist who looked at the first round of pictures didn’t like them. I called 1800 Contacts to figure out why, and talked to Cassandra. She told me to “open your eyes more.” That’s racist! I’m sorry I have eyelids that covers my eyes like everyone else. I retook the pics, and they were magically accepted. I’m so over stuff like this going on with them. We’ll see if my contacts arrive on time.

Just wanted to let everyone know that 1800Contacts (1-800 Contacts) is a total SCAM company. They promise rebates that they do not honor and intentionally mislead their customers. Their customer service is horrible. Do not use their service and never order their contacts!

Smiles Service and Savings in under 7 Minutes. I just wanted to write a positive review for 1800 contacts!!!! I called on May 21 around 630 pm trying to get my son's contacts rerouted as he is coming home for college. Little did I know that we'd be going into 2 accounts and saving me hundreds ....literally hundreds.... of dollars by switching from a monthly to a quarterly subscription. 1 800 makes everything easy. Unlike every other company... whose auto systems drive me to promptly hang up in disgust, these people have customer service down to a genuine art. Deborah was a lifeSAVER. Call them! You'll never go back.

1800 Contacts sent me contacts that I did not ask for after continuing to send emails that incorrectly assumed that I needed more contacts. I don't wear contacts as often as I used to. AND, I had an appointment on 8/28/24 with the eye doctor because my vision is affected by diabetes. Had I been given the opportunity, I might have submitted the new prescription to 1800 contacts. Not anymore. Last Straw.

I placed an order on 11/1 for 2 boxes of contacts with free shipping for $133.98 plus tax. On 11/2 my account reflected a deduction from 1-800 Contacts for $1741.42. It was after hours so I used the online chat to speak with an agent who advised I would be refunded for the error. On 11/4 I discovered an additional withdrawal of $113.98. This time I contacted via phone and was advised by a representative that it was my error, that I had ordered 26 boxes of contacts and would be credited once the items were received by my and returned by to me. I was told the second charge of $113.98, that I did not authorize, was placed by the chat rep with the correct 2 boxes I originally ordered. I searched my emails for original 10/1 order confirmation, nothing. However, there was an email for the second unauthorized order placed on 11/2. I logged in to the website to view my order history which displays 2 boxes @ $66.98 each with a total amount of $1741.42. I have an image showing what was in my cart and what was billed posted on the bbb.org website to confirm this fiasco. Unable to upload on this website.
