I would give this company 0 score if possible. Absolutely awful staff, spent almost an hour waiting for someone to answer, they kept me on the phone nearly another, not talking to me but, in their words, checking, just clicking up time, couldn't sort my query, rang several times, same scenario, no solution. Do not use o2 directly in any circumstance, useless
Lengthy wait - store woefully understaffed One guy was a meeter & greeter - would more usefully employed actually dealing with customers.However met with Tina - very efficient & dealt with my new sim only contract very expeditiously. Left a happy customer.
Every bloody god damn month there is an issue with O2 taking my payment. Saying they haven’t received it, or it’s late (when it’s been pending from my bank for at LEAST 6 days) Absolute joke of a company and I cannot wait until my contract runs out so I can bugger them off :)
I have spent ages looking for"membership and subscriptions' both on computer and mobile. No luck.Decided to write a review on O2 website but my attempt to make up a nickname was thwarted many times, all taken. Really, "crustulum"! so thats an hour of my time gone. So then I tried robot assistance.....now I have given up.
o2 customer service (contact centre) has been absolutely awful. spoke to several people over 2 months about getting a sim that i had never received. people at the store what absolutely lovely, but even they couldn't help and had no help from contact centre again. but finally got through to ishrat who sorted everything on that call - she's a the diamond in the rough that is o2 - by offering an esim and a refund
Its definitely comedy season. No £6 pay monthly SIM card arrived? No problem! Nearly 2 months of many chasings then I gave up and asked to cancel the "contract" (which in my mind doesn't start until the SIM is successfully received). Since no SIM card received despite my many calls, I finally gave up and asked O2 to cancel and stop harassing me for monthly payment.... £92.34 early termination charges!! I had hoped to send my daughter off on a school trip with a connected phone; O2 promised connection but did not deliver. Due to time limits, EE stepped in and assisted. An unsafe and expensive choice for equipping a "go monthly" contract for kids. Extremely poor Bilings customer service who said they had their hands tied to resolve the issue.
Advertised as 5G but the speed and consistency of connection is appalling - I switched from EE and use Vodafone for work, and both are 100x better. When you complain you get ignored, no matter how many times you chase. Awful product and non-existent service. Avoid like the plague.
Whats happened? O2 have gone down hill quoting up to £20 a month more than alternative network providers did not contact me when my contract came up and customer service staff very rude
Since being forced to switch from virgin to 02 I have been inundated with spam texts, calls ans voucemails. They have 0 protection or screening services and nothing seems to be being done about it
Disgusting customer service, filled a complaint on 22nd July, still no response. When followed up, they said that no phone number was provided - well, it was. Maybe if whoever was reading the email would open their eyes they would see!
O2 is possible the worst company I have ever dealt with. I payed my outstanding bill to end my contract. The woman from 02 said I'd over paid & sent me a cheque out for £161 , then 2 months later they sent me an email & text saying I have an outstanding bill for £161 🤬 Stay well clear of these numteas.....
I've had enough of you for a lifetime. You're screwing people over for a mistake that you made. My last month's bill was paid, but instead of being applied to the two numbers on the account, it was applied to the same number twice. This happened because of your outdated system. As a result, the payment didn't go through for my other number. Then the number got blocked, while you're sending threatening letters saying you'll sell the account. On top of that, you also canceled the direct debit, so now I have to waste my own time calling to fix the mistake that you made.
Worse customer service ever. I've been their customer for the last 8 years with 3 numbers. 2 weeks ago I returned a device ( first time in 8 years) which is "stuck" in their system. After so many phone calls to the customer service I was told that they will try to "do me a favour " and sort it out. This is outrageous, "do me a favour" on my money and my time. I asked to speak with a manager but nothing, still "stuck in the system ". Honestly, don't go with O2. I will move all my numbers to EE. They don't value their customers and they are rude- especially some of the customer service representatives.
Charged for a cancelled order. Fuming. Ordered a second contract to my main one, only to find straight after the order the phone was no good so I ordered a third line with a better phone and cancelled the second. I did not accept delivery and returned it to O2 with constant phone calls. Roll on 9th for my first bill and what O2 have done is cancelled only the device and left the number/airtime contract in place with out me even having a sim. Was told by O2 they cannot cancel the direct debit and I will be charged instead they will credit my account with £34 so my next bill is 0. This is unacceptable setting up a direct debit for an order I never received and cancelled withing minutes. The fact you can't cancel the direct debit is some serious bs.
To cut a long story short;New phone and contract ordered. Cancelled and phone returned within the 14 day cooling off period. O2 are now chasing me for early termination of contract with a bill of over £780 and are threatening me with the bailiffs. The customer service team all read from a script. Made dozens of phone calls so farPromise to escalate to the next team up who never call back. Official email complaint remains unanswered. Currently in discussion with the Ombudsman. O2 need putting out of business
I have Virgin Media broadband for many years. In 2021 I got the O2 sim with Virgin that I never used. Once 18 months contract ended, I contacted them to cancel my account but instead they keep charging and sim was blocked that I never used hence didn't realise that O2 still debiting from my account. Finally, after few months saw in the bank statement, again contacted but still not cancelled. Next month again contacted paid in full what is asked though for many months paid without use. After few months, £5.95 unpaid reflected in my credit file that I came to know when I applied for mortgage just before exchange of contract. Lenders rejected my mortgage application due to lower score on my credit file. Unpaid amount due to O2 customer care team's fault that they didn't ask when I paid in full. I had to lose my dream home and I was in depression for few days to recover from this shock. Please avoid at any cost, they can decimate the perfect score for meagre £5.95 that is never asked but one bad morning you'd realise most expensive 5 pound, thanks to O2.
Just awful.Tried to upgrade in June. Received email confirmation to collect my new phone the following day. Went to the store to collect and staff were miserable advising the order had not yet been processed. Decided to leave them for another supplier and 2 months on I can’t cancel my contract or transfer my number because the upgrade order is ‘still processing’. Been passed around every single department and nothing.
What I have left of the Internet gigabytes are going down. Is there an explanation from you, knowing that I am at home and the Wi-Fi is operated by another company?And almost not a good signal everywhere from o2. Thx.
Excellent operative, stayed on the line for a full 14 minutes & 36 seconds to help me get back into my account. But ? Why does it have to be so .......difficult? Used to have a mobile, bought credit or paid the bill, didn't have to spend hours over 3.5 weeks, trying to regain access to an account, full of nonsensical data (Nb. My laptop, mobile, A4 diaries containing abbreviated pas..o.ds etc, had all been taken. My priority will be to verify when this account can be cancelled. 02 are a ......farce
These guys really don't give a crap! Terrible signal, even worse customer service. If u seek support they take a VERY long time to give you absolutely no help. Avoid them at all costs!!!

Having been with o2 since its inception today may just be the day I leave. Promised promotions on new products never materialise. Wrong products delivered. If you complain calls can never be found. If you record a call refuse to accept it. The disrespect I have faced as a disabled person is nothing short of disgraceful. And don't bother emailing any executive as they just ignore you. I can't believe such a huge company can have such a poor site. The 'registration' process is a loop whereby you are texted a verification code but never given the chance to enter it, just to start the registration process all over again. Trying to use the 'keep my number' service falls over with 'server not responding' and 'ask lucy' support page doesn't have any relevant answers! The only option is to call them... at a chargeable rate of course.
“A company not to be believed”
On the 22/08/2014 my ex wife and myself went to an o2 shop because her 'o2 contract phone had been playing up, she was told she was entitled to a modest upgrade despite having the same phone for at least 4 years, I digress. Despite the assistant trying to persuade her to go for a new fangled android/iphone she chose a Doro 810 listed as £49.and some pence as she felt it was not 'to fancy'. (please bear in mind she was entitled to an upgrade). After changing her plan she then paid the assistant the £49. And some pence for the phone and signed an agreement. When I read the agreement it was in actual fact a credit agreement to pay for the phone. Amount of credit £96.00 Total amount to pay £105.99 Cash price to buy outright £126.00 Are you with me so far She the signed an agreement to pay o2 £22.00 per month, £18.00 for the contract, calls etc and £4.00 per month for the phone. My story of woe goes on. She (my ex) asked me on the 07/02/2015 to take her to the o2 shop as her new phone was faulty (speaker not working) this I did. I dropped her to the shop and she came out some 30mins later and told me her phone would be ready in 3/4 days and they would send it to her. She also said the assistant tried to persuade her to pay off the £75.00 owing on the phone and upgrade (again) she declined. She did ask if it was possible to get a loan phone, but was told none were available. The assistant then took out her 'simm 'card and said all your contacts have gone, the imbecile did not even check or ask if he should back up her contacts on the simm card. She phoned the shop a couple of times after the period had expired and was told it was on it's way to her, she spoke to the manageress who confirmed it was on its way and had been dispatched on Wednesday 11/02/15.( she told an untruth) she then phoned head office in 'slough' who told her the same,' yes it's been repaired and is on it's way' Monday16/02/15 still no phone. Tuesday 17/02/15 still no phone. She phoned the shop, the assistant said the manageress was on a call, she phoned head office and was told they were sending a new phone, but they couldn't give a date as they had NO STOCK. She then told o2 she was fed up and angry and was going to cancel the contract, the response, WE WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT. Fine said she, do what you like, you have told me lies. I forgot to add that TELEFONICA UK LTD is the apparent owner of o2. For your own sake avoid this company, they are not interested in customer care just new sales and more money from YOU the poor sucker who unwittingly enter their shops and believe the lies they tell you. I would also like to add that my ex wife is a pensioner and I feel that they have taken advantage of her years and trusting nature. Shame on you o2
