Is tdameritrade.com Legit?

I opened an account to trade options.Then I tried to deposit money on phone, it wont work and if you call customer service, they rudely advise you to deposit over web/computer.It was really hard to login, as they need authenticator app based login. multiple times password had to be reset within short timeout window.Once customer service was rude, we decided not to use the account and let the account be.I will stay with Solic for now..

After they switched to Charles Schwab, they removed the best analyst search. The option to look at each individual analyst's performance and recommendation for the stock is gone. I wish they kept it. If anyone knows of a broker that offers that, please let me know. I would switch brokers in a heartbeat.

Rolling glitches with "thinkorswim"- triggers loses erratically. Lost $103,000.00 while I was watching the screen, took screenshots. TD Ameritrade tried to say this was to my benefit bc now I could start trading again and make my money back in "better" positions.Awful company, their "risk manager" doesn't even seem to understand trading or the software. with Chares S they will have 10% of the American peoples investing in their hands- Senator Warren is my new pen pal.

This company does not have any value for their customers, I have been with them from Options express which Schwab took over 15 years ago then they took over TD and I have been very loyal but now I have to cut them off. Their platform makes mistake but do not take responsibility so they make commission and we have to take the losses for their mistakes and system integrations. . DO NOT SIGN UP with TD you will eventually regret.

Had I known about the rip-offs they were running, I would have stayed in my lane. This is an unacceptable act. It's surprising that an organisation like"echelonis elitus"isn't more widely recognized, maybe people want to keep effective monetary solutions private.

tried to transfer from one trust to anther. Has taken 2 months. Still not done. Said they needed a signature on file, which they have multiple of. Now having to resubmit everything including a copy of government issue ID.. NEVER WILL DO BUSINESS WITH TD AMERITRADE AGAIN. CLOSING ALL ACOUNTS

Twenty first century! The customer service of largest trading platform in the world, and apparently the leadership of this company sucks! Instead of keeping and expanding the users, they decided is better to treat them with third world countries customer service with waiting 90 min to talk to someone. (Not even during heavy trading hours).So disappointing! Tos is great! Leadership of Td Americans, not so much. Please get you act together before endless traders will leve!

I've used TDA for a long time. I give them 3 out of 5 stars because they are pretty much useless for speed trading, or anything under 5 minute trades. Then, their price execution for market orders can be hit or miss. As far as an IRA or Swing Trading, they are great. I've also had good experiences with customer support and thinkorswim. If you learn to use thinkscripts related to tos, it's extremely useful for identifying trends and getting price triggers.

Company Doesn't check the residential status according to IRS they simply look at the Country of Origin and ignore the Substantial Presence test. As a result, if you take out any money, income or dividend or principal amount , they will tax you at 30% and there is no way of reversing it. They send a form 1042s which will be filed along with 1080 NR. But you will be filing 1080 due to residential status. Customer Service know they should not have done it and they simply blame the system instead of accepting the mistake.

Customer service department “client services” has average hold times in 2020 and 2021 of 20 - 30 minutes. The latter of 30 min now in 2021. Things seem worse not better over time. On the phone now posting this review waiting for another 15 min to go. The problem is TD Ameritrade says “check your account for the test deposits”. However TD Ameritrade appears to have put them in some other wrong account that doesn’t exist. Wishing we had used Fidelity or someone who doesn’t give their customers these kinds of stacked problems. It seems the new ownership cut costs with this new reduced respect for the customer.

platform is fine, easy to use but one aspect of TD Ameritrade makes it a Bad Bad choice for small investors. Fee structures. Reorganization fees of $38.00 for many may be fine however for a stock total valued of pennies or a couple dollars they charge excessive fees not based on value of stock just one time $38.00 hit. Nakd good example R/S 1-15 total value $5.86 for 1 stock owned screwed with $38.00 fee that is excessive and don't care about customers so TD Ameritrade now has a -negative rating with me

It’s a terribly irresponsible company. Drop clients at a whim. For those who bothered to stay with them, the whole account transfer process is a nightmare that goes on and on. Emails are not answered, calls are dropped after waiting for more than an hour. Pls if anyone is not using them, do yourself a favor and never come close to this horrible company.

I'll be joining the Class Action Suit as well! Today I attempted to put in limit sell orders twice, and each time they automatically closed the entire position. ABSOLUTE ROBBERY. How is this even allowed? I'm sickened by this! Please, if you're reading this, DO NOT open an account with this fraudulent company.

$38 went missing out of my account balance. I was told 50 different reasons and they really had no clue. Eventually they told me it was options trading fees. Problem is I don't and never have traded options. I only buy whole stocks. I believe someone there stole a little from many accounts they saw no activity on thinking they wouldn't be noticed. Unfortunately I never got a real answer and lost trust. Now I'll be filing a charge with the government against them.

TD Ameritrade is now considered as a scam website/app doing illegally manipulating for the market in favor of the hedge funds for them to buy more shares.TD Ameritrade blocked trades from GME, BB, NOK, and BBBY. In doing so, it made stocks lower for hedge funds to buy insane amount of stocks so that for the day trader, the number won't move at all.

For the second consecutive day, my TD Ameritrade account has been experiencing issues. Yesterday's problems were minor compared to today, where my personal Thinkorswim platform kept reverting to Ameritrade, preventing me from trading. Today, the entire platform was down. I am part of a trading group, and many members reported similar issues. While I can't specify the exact percentage, the outage was widespread.When this happens, people who are in trades and want to exit them can't, and those who want to enter trades are also unable to do so. Although there is an option to call in, I was on hold for well over an hour waiting for support while the market continued to fall. It seems that TD Ameritrade is struggling to manage the current volume of users, leading to long wait times for support and, as noted, the entire system being down for almost an hour and a half, with issues still persisting.

Absolutely terrible, they hold funds for an outrageous amount of time even after receiving them from a bank. You can call customer service and best believe they’re not going to give you a straight answer as to why your banking information is showing one thing and yet your still not able to use your funds. Steer clear of this brokerage if you can. But if you like having your funds hung up for a week not being able to withdraw them, then your at the right place.
