Apple ID Expiration Text Message: How The Scam Works

If you are an Apple user you might receive phishing messages on your cell phone meant to trick you into handing over your Apple ID password and other pieces of personal information. This mobile message claims to come from Apple, urging you to immediately change your Apple ID password before it expires.

You are then directed to a legitimate-looking website – AppleIDLogin.co.uk, where you are asked to input your username and password. However, this is an unofficial Apple website so ignore it.
