How To Find Any Phone Number: The Scam

If you wonder how to find any phone number online, don’t fall for the Scammer Phone Number Lookup trick. You could be a victim of the scam in two ways:

  1. As the person who is listed on these sites with all their personal information;
  2. As the person who is looking to find someone’s phone number.

Let’s take a look at both – we’ll show you how to see if a phone number finder site is fake.

The first case is clear. People search sites collect personal information from a variety of sources and compile it into a report which they then sell to third-parties. Removing your name from these sites was nearly impossible up until recently, but you can do it now by using a powerful tool called Incogni. There are legitimate companies out there that provide great and trustworthy similar services. The trick is to be able to differentiate the good ones from the bad ones. Type in the Google Search tab the name of the service and add ‘scam’ after – see what happens.

Make sure you read the fine print and assure that there are no extra charges. Also, look for their information and reputation online (maybe look on Quora), which should give you a very good idea of the quality of their services.

    916-765-3635. A woman called my elderly father while I was busy doing something else. He said she knew his name. She said she was calling about ‘insurance’. He said she was demanding. She asked for his address. THANKFULLY, he can’t remember what it is. I will be keeping his phone to see if this bich calls again.
    FYI: Do not give senile persons access to information that can give scammers a way to get into your house. He will be getting a new phone with a different number. I took the time to put MY phone number on the back of his phone in case of an emergency. It helped one time when he wandered and fell down. The paramedics called. That was the only way I knew where he went. If a bad person had got his wallet, they could have taken his house key and invaded our home. That is why I do not have the CORRECT address in his wallet. It will lead them to my brother’s house where there are large dogs. Do not let the elderly have a house key AND their REAL address on their person. That is ALL it takes to invade your home.

      I’m a senior and recently I’ve had people scan me on facebook for the affordable housing I have been reporting reported it to the FTC but since it was under $10,000 they won’t even look at it. 1700 Is a lot of money to me I had the phone numbers I had the receipts I had the email and then I get a note that it’s already been settled in court and it was 2 weeks before even got the postcard. Another 1 as they said I won the sweepstakes but then they asked for your credit card information. People can try and get you while you’re on social platforms or live chats somebody got me that way. Right now I have lost$10,000

    IF YOU DID NOT PUT THE NUMBER IN YOUR PHONE LET IT ONLY GO TO VOICEMAIL. THEN DELETE THE VOICEMAILS. NEVER ANSWER OR THEY DON’T STOP CALLING. CHANGE YOUR VOICEMAIL TO NOT SAY YOUR NAME OR NUMBER. SEND SCAMMER TEXT NUMBERS IN THE USA TO 7726. THE PHONE COMPANY WILL DEAL WITH THOSE. NEVER AGREE TO BUY ANYTHING THROUGH THE INTERNET OR ON THE PHONE IF THEY CONTACTED YOU FIRST. GET AN OLD ANSWERING MACHINE FOR VOICE MESSAGES AND TURN THE SPEAKER UP. WHEN IT ISN’T SOMEONE YOU KNOW DON’T ANSWER OR CALL BACK.

And I told them I am NOT giving access to my computer. And he kept saying no, no, no this is not what it is. And I seen remotepc on my screen and I told him mail it to me oh we can’t do that we’re closing and don’t have time to mail checks. I hung up on him. He called back 4 times in a row. I gently picked up the receiver and laid it down all 4 times as we have a landline.

    Please check number 855-401-0563 This company is a collection agency ( I believe) masquerading as a legal firm, threatening legal action for a debt I did not incur. The debtor they claimed to represent was my own cellular service company. I contacted my company and they filed a fraud report, advised I block the number and have no further contact with this firm. Have they harrassed others? Beware! Phishing scam

    I keep getting an automated message from 0268408008 saying my internet has been hacked (This is NOT True – my internet is perfectly fine) and to rectify the problem, I need to press 1. This same number has been calling my home phone randomly for about 6 months now, and always the same or similar message. The other message I sometimes receive is "This is NBN we have been trying to contact you. Your internet is going to be disconnected. To find out more, press 1. This number is a SCAM.

    Dave from Bank of America called and wanted to verify the account number for my 90 year mother. He had her debit card number already. Immediately called BOA fraud alert and placed a hold on the account & issued new debit card. Fast, easy, no charge. Recommend this to everyone.

    Moderate poor grammar. First question was whether credit cards are accepted. Boiler plate text has been around
    for years. Text is usually only from a text-only service, but this one actually answers voice call. The first followup message looks like it’s computer generated. Answered by a male with a discernible Eastern European accent.

    This number 718-720-6780 with the name "Marie Layne" who is really "Marie Carbonaro, a cmplete illegal alien scam artist who deserves life in prison! It called me numerous times, it IS a ROBO call which IS illegal in NY state! And it has a pre-recorded voice, which is also ILLEGAL in NY state and wants to sell me some B.S. about lowering my credit card debt, I do NOT even have any credit card debt! It IS a TOTAL SCAM! I only answered it because it is a local number in my area, just thought it would be a wrong number!
