Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 80.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to dickssportinggoods.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning dickssportinggoods.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between dickssportinggoods.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of dickssportinggoods.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of dickssportinggoods.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. dickssportinggoods.com is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether dickssportinggoods.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether dickssportinggoods.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, dickssportinggoods.com.

Bought pack of twelve Nike socks and these are without question the worst socks imaginable I have ever seen.worse that a cheap no name brand toy might find at a dollar store. No more Nike products for me and concerned that I can’t trust Dicks anymore.
What I noticed is that every time I walk into the store I'm always asked if I need any assistance, and that's awesome, when I go looking for my product it's not hard to find it, but overall amazing.
Scam company. I’ve been ordered a bomber jacket online for one month and I haven’t received it yet. I checked the tracking and it shows “Delivered” while I received nothing. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE. They are not serious.
Purchased gifts from DSGs for an out of town friend and the items were delivered to the incorrect address. FedEx made the delivery but somehow the correct address was changed to a different address that I have no knowledge of its existence. All I could get from DSGs was an apology for the "inconvenience" and I would be receiving a refund. It's more than an "INCONVENIENCE" when there's disappoinment and frustration involved! This isn't the first time that I've experienced lackluster service from DSG's but it will be the last: after I receive a 'verified" refund, I'm removing my name from their mailing list, informing my friends/associates of my experiences and using another company for my sports and accessories purchases. Totally unnecessary, just get it right!
They advertised yeti 20 oz amblers for $24.50 and went to the store and picked one and when we go to the register it's only one color and all the others are 35 and with taxes it came 38.11 which is very bad.when i checked Amazon They hv the same for 30$. This is a very bad store and I will never go again. Even the people working are very nasty and never answer a question.
Mr.Garrison at the Chesapeake house of sports store, gentleman who helped me in finding the right stuff for my home gym gave me phenomenal customer service, this guy definitely needs a raise!!
I purchased cleats for my son online- drove 30 miles to Galleria location to pick up- they are too small- I am attempting to return them less than 18 hours later at the Rockwall location- and they tell me “the computer won’t let me return them” I have them in original box- receipt- printed up paperwork form online order- never been worn- “The computer says” bla bla bla I asked for a manager and a sale clerk took them - and told me to wait….. it’s been 17 minutes - and still waiting!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business at Dicks.
Rec'd email thanking me for a recent purchase and giving me $10 coupon. But alas! Lo and behold the coupon does not apply (I must read the small print as usual) to the very item that the email suggested I might be interested in. Just unsubscribed from any contact from Dicks. I can do better at Academy. And as always Customer Service is non-existent.
BE CAREFUL WITH ONLINE PURCHASES Estan mintiendo con las fechas de entrega
The worst company I ever worked for. Dedicated 8 years to them and fired me for some stupid complaint. I was a store manager and they could not pay me enough to return. Shame on you Dicks! Your name is appropriate
Dicks xterra trail camera video was made by a poacher and this video needs to be taken off your site!Dicks promotes poaching! I live by Armada, MI. The guy that made this video is a poacher and is still trespassing on my land. The police won't do anything because 1 of his buddies involved works for the Armada fire dept.
I ordered a cooler for my parents for Christmas and it showed up with a busted handle. I called and was immediately connected to Kelly, who apologized and was able to get a new cooler sent with express shipping, all for free, within 5 minutes. The anticipated delivery date of the new cooler is 1 day after I received the damaged one. Never in my life have I experienced such outstanding customer service. Give Kelly a raise.
I’ve been on crutches the last three times I’ve been to the Bristol, Tennessee location. received and no help the last three times I’ve been there. The only place where an employee has offered help in the store is at the checkout, when I’m handing them my card to pay. You can literally be the only customer in the store and they can care less. Everything I’ve purchased is going back. I’ll never shop at D’s Sporting Goods again
The item that was ordered online was not delivered. When I returned the wrong item to the local store, I was informed that it would take an additional 10 to 14 days for delivery. Because of their error, customer support made no attempt to at least expedite the reorder. Extremely dissatisfied with the company's behavior unfortunately the customer service at Sports Authority was is far superior!
I went there recently, and I only needed a simple thing for racquet ball. After searching for about 30 minutes I could not find anything even closely related with what I was looking for. I asked an employee and I managed to find it in the middle of the pickle ball section. I was deeply surprised when I saw the section. It was about a foot wide and 3 feet tall, and they had no racquets available. This also shocked me because the employees told us to go to the outdoor sports section when what I was looking for was clearly not there. They were trying to get me out of their hair, this was acceptable to me. Please be aware of this. They need a bigger raquetball section
On Wednesday I went to buy a jacket and it had a security cord. When I asked one of the employees to remove the security cord so I could pay for it, he was rude and impolite, pretending not to understand. I even think he was racist. Everything is wrong with this store in Northattleboro. For my part, I will not go back to that store and I will tell everyone I can not go there
I actually thought this was a reputable company but what a mistake. I purchased a pair of wide Hoka's for my long days teaching, they are very comfortable. All went smoothly until I later found our that this company used Fedex as their courier. What a mistake that was, if I would have known this I would have stayed clear of Diks. Fedex dropped the sneakers on my busy street, within minutes the package was gone. Called Diks, their response was your problem, called Fedex and they have the weirdest claim system, I gave up. I blame myself for not checking the courier Dik uses. First and last time buying from Diks, your checkout process should let people know who your courier is so they can avoid you like the plague! You suck, dik!
It has been a while since I’ve been in a Dicks store. I will never go back. There is absolutely nothing in hunting which is an avid sport for millions. I didn’t care if they got rid of guns from the store. They should have kept the clothes and gear that hunters buy. The store is a complete waste of time. I doubt I will ever step foot in the store again!!!!
I wouldn’t buy a pair of shoes from DicksSportingGoods. They don’t stand behind their products. I purchased a pair of Hoka’s for just under 200$ and they fell apart in just past 30 days. DicksSportingGoods made me contact Hoka who wants me to pay to have them shipped to them for a warranty review. I’d recommend not buying shoes at Dicks and stay away from the Hoka brand. Poorly made junk and a waste of money!
This has to be the worst of the worst. Totally incompetent. I'm building and working in a sub zero warehouse in Baytown, Texas and need Under Armour 4.0 base long underwear. My billing address is in Crandon, Wisconsin, so now my order is going to Crandon under the name "Extended Stay America Kub?%#&" and the bill is going to Craig Extended Stay in Baytown, Texas

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
