wigs.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives wigs.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 69.4. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 69.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to wigs.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning wigs.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between wigs.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of wigs.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of wigs.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. wigs.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether wigs.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether wigs.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, wigs.com.

“CYBER BULLIES”

Very cheaply made a total waste. Same how i feel about chiquel a TOTAL WASTE. Marie called me to discuss "harass me" about a review i left about chiquel and was beyond unprofessional and rude when marie contacted me via phone call. Within 5 minutes of conversation I felt attacked, bullied, & belittled. I shared my health challenges and Marie mocked me and had no sympathy whatsoever. The issue remains unresolved, the scammer who scammed me in chiquel neighborhood Facebook support group continues to be a member. And the admin who runs the chiquel Facebook group is the ring leader of the scamming circle. Since chiquel believes i no longer belong to the support group, therefore they ASSume I cannot see if they had removed the scammer, but as of today she is still a member of chiquel neighborhood Facebook support group. Be very careful everyone when shopping from chiquel especially sell it Sundays 9 out 10 you will get scammed. STAY AWAY FROM CHIQUEL SELL IT SUNDAYS GROUP Tip for consumers:Don't buy from wig retailers who allow for resellers to sell their products 9 out 10 times the wig is NOT in the condition described and Marie who is the Frontline of chiquel will deny and back up the resellers "scammers" why scammers 1st of all they are not paying the IRS sale taxes, #2 they do not possess a resellers/sellers permit, #3 not recognized by the BBB, #4 these resellers will use venmo & PayPal as pymt option, but since you use your phone # they will use it for phishiing. “The customer being treated unfairly, being discriminated against.”

I've been buying some wigs here and returning some, always following returning policy. Without any warning my account was blocked and an email from the company suggested to schedule a consultation. I did scheduled a consultation and spent an hour talking with the representative. After all that I was told that the representative didn't like me and didn't think that I was cooperating. This conclusion is very unfair, because I still have several screenshots of the wigs that she suggested for me and I didn't show any signs of not wanting to cooperate. I feel like I was discriminated against because of my accent, the accent of an immigrant from Ukraine. Rimma M.

“Horrible Customer Service - Buyer Beware”

Beware of buying from Wigs.com. I placed a large order, received half of it and despite calling and emailing many times, they refuse to communicate back on a resolution. Also, it's a small company in Dallas and they have caller ID, so now when I call to attempt to resolve the situation, they just keep putting me on hold. My only option was to dispute the charges with my credit card company - for thousands. This is terrible customer service and unprofessional/unethical business practice. I had high hopes for Wigs.com - they seemed so professional and had such great reviews - but you can't not take consumer calls when there's an issue to resolve. Tip for consumers:The lengths Wigs.com goes to avoid communicating with a customer when the order isn't correct and/or fulfilled is beyond unprofessional. I feel scammed and it's for over $1500.00. I have to now work with my credit card company to dispute. Products used:There was an issue with my order and they refused to communicate or resolve so I ended up returning the part of the order that did ship to me. Very unprofessional and unethical. “False claims”

Ordered because of the hassle free return claim with prepaid shipping label. I did not get the label, customer service was not helpful and shipping them back on my own was costly. Would not recommend wigs.com, use somewhere else Service Returns Quality

“Website does NOT work”

Over 12 months ago, Wigs.com updated their website, and has had constant errors since that time. There is up to 50% off, yet when I click, there are no results found. I've cleared my history and cache, the issue is not resolved, and this has been the case since the update. I repeatedly notified them of the issue, begging them to fix it, and they blocked me on social media. This is false advertising. They do not care. The website is junk. Tip for consumers:Go somewhere else. Products used:I ended up not buying any, yet again, due to website failure. Service

“They credit less than 50% of your purchase. Fraud.”

I called today their 800 number. I have two returns from 2022 and never received the credits on my credit card. I was informed I had a credit in my account to purchase something from them. According to my receipts I was supposed to be credited for $81.89 but the balance that they are giving me is$41.07. They charged me for the returns even though I returned them According to their rules and the label said "No postage necessary if mailed in the US." I insisted on getting the credit for $41.07 back on my credit card (even though I know I should get more) so the representative said that she would send my "cas" to the Customer Support Dept. for them to decide to credit my card. How do you like that? It's not for sure they will return my money. How many people are being treated like me? Imagine. This online business is getting away with dishonest policies. Tip for consumers:Their policies. They are dishonest. You find out when you call. You have to follow up to find out the bad news. Products used:Wigs Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Terrible Quality!”

I will never order from Wigs.com again. I ordered from them as they had the Stevie Wig (Double Monofilament) in stock and my usual vendor didn't. What a mistake. It barely looked like Monofilament and can barely see anything resembling a scalp. The bangs were too short and flipping on the sides, and there were barely any layers cut into the wig. Very stringy! My hairstylist noticed the difference right away and while trimming it and trying to add layers the hair would go into a S shape. What a waste of money! Next time I'm in a pinch to get a wig earlier I'll just wait it out for my usual vendor who sells the exact wig much cheaper when it's in stock. I feel ripped off my wigs.com Service Value Shipping Quality

“Worst experience ever buying hair!”

In the beginnings of my wig journey I unfortunately chose wigs.com as my first online experience. It was the worst looking supposedly human hair wig I'd EVER seen. So shiny and helmet looking that said never again and decided I had to continue purchasing from my expensive wig maker from NY, although very inconvenient since I now live 1000 miles away. Never again! Products used:Chiquel and wigstudio1 Value Shipping Returns Quality

“This is a Chinese "steal" of name brand wig illustrations”

Beware. I was at first impressed with all the Jane Fonda wigs. But - read the fine print - they are made in their own factories "to order" - and, in China. This is unethical, fraudulent stealing of images and styles from reputable nane brand lines, presented as if that is what you are ordering. The Federal Trade Commission should be notified. Reading the other reviews, you may yet get what you want - it's a big risk - and notice they state outright that they reserve the right to substitute styles and colors unless you check Do Not Substitute. Find a local shop online with the products you want at a good price, and with a good reputation.

“Bad product, no returns & horrible customer service”

I purchased extensions for $180.00 in a natural blonde and 5 months later I received orange and dark brown extensions and even though I did not take it out of the netting and ribbon packaging, they would not let me return it. They offered me an $18.00 credit to use at their website and refused to send me a return label. Over 6 emails where sent requesting a return and they completely refused. “Extremely Disappointed!”

I purchased a clearance wig from wigs.com last month for a total cost of $39.74. A few days later I received an email that the total price was changed to $40.22. About a week later I received the wig and it was not like the picture on the website so I returned it for a refund. A week later I received a letter that I could not return the wig but could get a credit to buy another one. I called customer service today to select a different wig and they told me I only had a $15.49 credit! They charged me a 20% restocking fee for a wig I didn't even wear! Ridiculous! Tip for consumers:Be very sure about a wig before purchasing Products used:None Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“They sent me the wrong color, not even close. Now they want $9.95 for me to return it.”

I'm very unhappy and angry. They made a mistake and now I have no recourse than to pay an additional $9.85 for THEIR mistake? There's no phone #, no way to contact them via e-mail. So I'm out the money I paid and have no reddress.

“RUDE and HORRIBLE customer service”

Order 3 wig boxes early January. Received email confirmation with tracking number. Mid February no shipment no updated tracking no contact from Company. Filed dispute with cc company to get my money back. Man called from customer service angry that i filed a dispute. He lied and said they sent several emails regarding delay. I received no such emails. Then he said he was charged $20 for the chargeback and hung up on me. BAD business! No apology, nothing but rudeness and hang up. There are many businesses out there fighting for business. I would not recommend Wigs.com who can't even be bothered to contact a customer and would keep their customer's money and not send them their item. BAD BAD BAD!

“Would give ZERO stars if I could! Horrible company to deal with!”

Placed an order online on 3/9/23. My order confirmation, which I printed off was $183.27 which included overnight shipping charges of $40.94. As of 3/13/23 my order has not arrived and I also learn that my credit card was charged for the amount of $188.66, $5.39 more than my confirmation. I called customer service on 3/13/23, was told I could not receive a refund for the overnight shipping because my zip code does not offer overnight shipping which the website did not disclose at the time I ordered and let me add the charge. So today I am told that the shipping was changed to 2nd day air Fed Ex, which was not my choice. My advice DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ordering from this company. “Wrong color, no customer service.”

The wig I ordered was Blonde, color R21T. The wig I received is Grey, color R56. The return policy states that I will pay the shipping charge of $12.58 to return the wrong item. I've tried to call the customer service number 4 times only to receive a recorded message that they weren't able to take the call and to call back at another time. This was after being on hold for 9 minutes each time. Service Returns

“SCAM!”

I highly suggest not purchasing ANYTHING from this company. If you decide to return something, they WON'T give you a full credit. They shorted me $24.60. This company's practice is complete robbery. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again! They aren't transparent when people are placing orders that full refunds WILL NOT be received for returns. You shouldn't have to go searching on their website for that information. THIS IS A GIANT SCAM! Customer service responded by attaching the link to their "return policy" which is complete bogus. I wish I could give them negative stars on this review. I'm beyond furious.

“Horrible customer service”

Horrible customer service. Sold me a visibly used wig and responded not once to my phone calls and emails. No refund, no replacement, out $1500 and stuck with a wig that I have no idea where it's been. Washed it in the hopes to get some sort of use, water turned dirty brown. Disgusting. Tried to review the wig on their site, they won't approve negative reviews. Wigs.com is a scam. Beware.

“Response to Ann F”

They stick to their return policy. I ordered several years ago with no problem. And more importantly, this past spring, made a exchange and had no problem. I would use them again. So are these real reviews? May y Response- How dare you accuse people of all different areas and dates making up "bogus reviews"? Instead of focusing on pretending to be over joyful with your so called great orders, and writing positive reviews as if you were a customer... Focus on not ripping people off with the junk you sell that i can get at the dollar store or rite-aid. You need a wake up call. “I love it because it has wig videos, showing wigs as...”

I love it because it has wig videos, showing wigs as they come (not styled for photos), that is very helpful since you know now what you're buying. That takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect wig. Thanks Jess M.

“Dont waste your time horrible customer service”

Ordered 1 item heard nothing for more than a week tried to email 2 times received no response when I finally called they said they were out of stock yet sent no notification to me and I already paid ( also for express shipping). Took them a couple days to reimburse me. Ordered a second item same EXACT scenario. If you don't have months to wait for your order don't bother with this place. I would give them zero stars if I could.

“Return of hair pieces because I new they were the wrong color.”

I was charged a 50 percent restock, never offered a credit. Lost 60.00. Customer service was horrible. Hateful on he phone and in emails. I could understand 10 or even 29 percent. But 50? Got to check with a lawyer to see if that us even legal. Would have gladly dine an exchange.

“Rip-off”

I bought a wig and the full accessory pack from this company to the tune of $187.00. After I received the product, I tried it on with one of the wig caps and returned it promptly the very next business day as I felt it was too flat. My refund was $95... the company stating that there is no refund on accessories even though they were never used. I hope to head anyone else off at the pass to go elsewhere if they want to buy a wig and accessories.

“Absolutely horrible messes”

I ordered 2 and both were dreadful. Hair stuck straight out, not able to get smooth. Quality poor, as is construction. Sent both back k and have not been given either refund. Both new, unworn Products used:Neither purchase...2 wigs Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Withheld Order after Payment”

I placed an order and received confirmation. The amount was charged to my credit card. I then received a tracking number and it said the wig would be delivered 2/23/22. However, when I did not get it as indicated, I went back into UPS to see where it was. UPS indicated that the seller requested the package be returned to them. This after it traveled from Kansas to NJ and was basically right around the corner, possibly even on the truck. UPS said they had no explanation and to contact seller directly regarding the matter. I did not receive anything from them indicating that they did this or why. I am disputing the charge with the credit card company. I am also waiting for a return I sent them to be credited back to my account. It may turn out that I need to dispute that charge as well. Products used:wigs Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Gorgeous!”

The color, quality and style is divine. I do not have thinning hair, I simply have short hair which I love but once in a while I like to mix it up and I don't like the idea of wearing a front lace wig. This is such a great way to mix it up- the topper looks like real, believable hair.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below. button remove data online

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
