wen.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives wen.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 89.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 89.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to wen.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning wen.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between wen.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of wen.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of wen.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. wen.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether wen.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether wen.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, wen.com.

“TERRIBLE”

I used Wen for about 3 months it was ok in the beginning but dried my hair. Cancelled... they lie when you call can't find your account all kinds of crap. Charged my account way more than they were suppose to. STAY AWAY FROM WEN... this company does not care about it's customers.

“It's just conditioner, that's the big hair care secret!”

Okay so there's really no secret to this whole "Wen" hair care stuff. Basically you just never use shampoo. You wash and condition with only conditioner all the time. If you read the ingredients you'll find it's the truth. You don't have to spend a ton of money on these products. All you have to do is stop using shampoo. You're welcome!

“Hair loss”

I kept WEN cleansing conditioner for several years. I would only use every now and then when I needed a deep conditioning. However, I read the directions for use on the most recent bottle I purchased from QVC. It directs you to concentrate on the scalp, rinse, and add more and work on the rest of the hair. After following these steps, and used for 2 washes, I noticed, in the shower, my hair falling out terribly. Why is this product still allowed on the market? Why does QVC continue to promote this product?

“Luv it”

I did'nt order direct from Co. But I have been using it for 2 yrs, every day with other non wen hair products, although since starting the wen I do not have a need for a lot of hair product anymore, my hair has Never looked better! I stared a new stylist 4 mo ago and she said she took s pic of my cut & posted it, women called wanting my cut she had to tell th unfortunately they wouldn't look like me because barley anyone had as healthy hair as me. I've colored my hair for 23 yrs. Give WEN a try make sure I work it into ur scalp, I'm not willing to believe it only works for me

“Billing Billing Billing sure feels like a scam.”

So far I have no complaints about the product. The billing practices however are horrible I signed up for the 29.95 plan. I've received the product twice to the tune of 203.64 far cry from what was promised now I am in the process of cancelling... Live chat was no help at all and gave a number to call.

“Thank you for info!”

I agree with one writer who says this review is about product, but I am grateful for all the reviews about company's cust serv. I bought shampoo on Groupon and liked it and was thinking or ordering through company, so I am glad for the CS reviews. I will look to buy product elsewhere.

“Horrible product and has harmful chemicals in it”

A friend gave me a bottle of Wen to try. Had a terrible rash on my head and a burning scalp. Thankfully no hair loss! Went to a dermatologist who recommended that I no longer use the product after testing a sample of Wen and finding that yes, there were some harmful chemicals in the product itself. After using a 100% natural peanut butter conditioning treatment to condition my hair and not shampooing for a couple of days. I went back to my regular shampoo line9from a health food store) that I used before trying out Wen. Don't believe the commercials that you see on TV with the actresses that are promoting this product. It's just hype and you wind up paying way too much money it.

“Dremel defect”

Purchased a Dremel kit from them the on-off switch went bad after 6 weeks of owning it customer service was five star they sent me a new kit without having to send the old kit back and my wife said fix the new one I ordered a new switch online through their website hooked it up everything works great no complaints five star in my review and I would definitely buy from them again Tip for consumers:Very professional well-trained people over the phone no issues at all everything was taken care of at a moment's notice Products used:Dremel Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Do Not Use Wen hair care”

I have used Wen for many years, have recommended it to many friends. It was the only hair product i found that did not tangle my thick hair. This past year i have found more and more was falling out and filling my brushes. I asked my daughter-in-law if she had this problem, she said she no longer uses it, but her sister had the same problem. My hair is slowly getting stronger, but it is going to take a long time. Be good to yourself and dont use this product!

“Sorry five star reviewers, but this stuff is still...”

Sorry five star reviewers, but this stuff is still over priced crap and the 'cancellation procedures' are bordering on unlawful. Wen hair conditioner made my hair feel unclean and heavy. I called to cancel. (insert customer service nightmare). Wen rep: "I cancelled your account two weeks ago and can't stop any future billings or shipments". Apparently Wen doesn't handle cancellations very well and expects you to pay them until they get tired of billing you. I think I'm about another $46.60 charge away from cancelling my card and moving.

“After reading the reviews I will not purchase this...”

After reading the reviews I will not purchase this product no matter how wonderful it is. If something is wrong, I prefer to deal with professional customer service people that can fix my issues immediately and I have no intention of signing up for regular shipments if I just want to try it one month. Too many negative comments about their process and customer service for me!

“Hi all, i found the federal governments Fair Credit...”

Hi all, i found the federal governments Fair Credit act. Their web site clearly states they will stop charging once you ask them to stop. However, time and time again, people are complaining that the company refuse to stop. PLEASE do your self a favor and file a complaint. I have used this and it has worked. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0219-disputing-credit-card-charges

“Its amazing how deceiving the commercial is...”

Its amazing how deceiving the commercial is... I would do anything to make my hair "bounce, and shine like it never has before" but as usual... I am fooled... not only did the product suck! The customer service reps treat you like crap! I just use keratin oil and my hair is way better than this $h**! Rip off! And its impossible to get it through their heads that you don't like it, they keep billing you! Such a horrible way to treat your customers!

“I have been buying WEN from Ebay now for about 6 months,...”

I have been buying WEN from Ebay now for about 6 months, and I love it! My hair used to fall out but not anymore! This will be my 1st time using the auto-ship, customer service or order online. I have to say that I'm a little nervous with all the bad reviews. But I'm just dying to try the extra products that the $39.945 package comes with. As for the product itself its great and I have medium length hair, I'm 40 years old and I love my hair its healthy looking. Less split ends, Maybe it just using too much product I know if I put in 30-40 pumps of product (as suggested) my hair would be oily (I think because I don't use that much) Anyway that's my two cents. Tip for consumers:If you color or have thin hair that falls out this is a dream come true I love it! Value Shipping Quality

“It's a rip off!”

The first customer service rep was a bit rude and did not inform me that I needed a Return Shipping Label. She just send "Send it back" which if I had, would likely have gotten lost somewhere in postal or UPS land with no credit reinstated on my card. The second customer service person put me on hold for 10-15 mins, came back and said it would be 7-10 days before I would receive a Return Label because they use snail mail. I'm really worried I won't get my money back. Should have known better. Would not recommend doing business with these people. Tip for consumers:Don't do it!

“Stay as far away from this product as possible!”

Stay as far away from this product as possible! The "customer service" is sorry for their inconvenience. Gigantic SCAM! They will keep sending fraudulent product to you and keep charging your card. Read the fine print!?!? Tip for consumers:Do not go near this or think about using it. Too many scams. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“SCAM, SCAM!”

SCAM, SCAM! Definitely stay away from ordering Wen by phone or the web. They will charge your credit card a ridiculous amount of money and for items you didn't even order. I try to cancel, but mysteriously they cannot find your account and won't try to help you. Now I have to file a dispute with my bank and change my account info. Tip for consumers:Stay away, nothing but a scam!!! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Absolute horrible site”

Absolute horrible site. I bought two introductory package for Christmas gifts, and was apparently signed up for two subscriptions (I always read the fine print, and I don't remember seeing anything about a subscription). When I called to cancel, I had to yell at the customer service rep because after saying I wasn't interest four times, he still kept trying to sell me. I was a little suspicious after the call, so I called back the next day to confirm my cancellation. They had only cancelled one subscription. Oh, and the money back guarantee is minus S&H, which is $10. So I wasted $20. Not worth it.

“I order the product and looked over everything when...”

I order the product and looked over everything when I did it to make sure I was not getting into some kind of auto ship... So they must hide it in the very fine print! I got a charge today of $44.95 and the lady told me once I cancelled that I owed another $88.95. I threw a fit! I normally never speak to customer representatives the way I did, but I told her I will not pay for it and know how the system works and will charge back all of this as fraud on my credit card. She promptly refunded me and wrote off my account. GRR! I told her they needed to fix their website this doesn't happen. I can see it happens a lot! The product itself was fine... just didn't work too well for me. The business practices. TERRIBLE!

“I bought this product because I have thick coarse hair”

I bought this product because I have thick coarse hair. What I got after 5 uses of this product is greasy, weighed down hair that looks lifeless. I gave it a fair shot thinking my hair might need multiple uses to get the results they showed you would get. That never happened. I am looking forward to a good clarifying shampoo to get this awful residue out of my hair. Absolutely Awful product!

“If I could give a negative review I would”

If I could give a negative review I would. My daughter was sent this product to her and also billed automatically after she canx her order. She was unable to use it so I started. Biggest mistake ever! My hair is falling out and didn't realize it until I looked on the web. There are pages with people whose hair have also fallen out. Beware

“This is a rip off!. First my hair was so...”

This is a rip off!. First my hair was so dry and it felt it was still dirty. Then I returned the product back after 2 weeks and I still have not got refund. I have called 6 times and then they charged my credit card for another order. I am calling the better business bureau on this rip off company

“I actually didn't order of this site, I ordered straight...”

I actually didn't order of this site, I ordered straight off the Chaz Dean website which yes is much more expensive but I wanted to try it first before I committed to automatic shipments. I ordered the Tea Tree Oil version which smells great! I used it every other day at first (I only wash my hair every other day max b/c washing your hair everyday strips your hair of it's natural oils and makes your hair over produce oil). My hair had body, it was soft, tangle free, and it smelled great! After 2 weeks or so it wasn't having that same effect anymore so I trade it out every other wash with my regular shampoo and conditioner. I had purchased from the Chaz Dean site again but I opted not to enroll in the wenhaircare club since I only use it about 10 times a month or so. But great product all in all!

“I love the product”

I love the product. The problems that i have had is the crappy customer service! The other problem that i am having is that i made a 1 time catalog order and mailed the check with it. Well, that was march 17th 2013 and now it is april 6th 2013. I called my bank and they said the check was cashed but when i call to find out if they recieved anything my order and payment they deny it. How can the check be cashed but wen doesnt know where it is. Somthings fishy! If your gonna have people work for a company... you gotta make sure they have some brains and get on the same page! I told them if i dont get the products i ordered or a refund of my check that i was gonna take further action. Even if that means to get a lawyer. This crap has gotta stop. Not just for me but for everyone they have scamed. I will get to the bottom of this!

“Nice!”

I just receive a wen order form in the mail. I have been watching it on tv thinking about buying the product because it sounds so great

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below. button remove data online
