volta4u.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives volta4u.com one of the lowest trust scores on the platform: 12.6. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 12.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to volta4u.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning volta4u.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between volta4u.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of volta4u.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of volta4u.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. volta4u.com is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether volta4u.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether volta4u.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, volta4u.com.

We had a good experience with Volta4u. The service was good, people were nice, everything went according schedule without any delays. Of course, we need to pay a deposit on a credit card but it is written on the booking page and this applies in every second car rental company. We took the cheapest car which had a clutch in bad condition. But after we complaint they gave us another one without any questions or discussions. We got the deposit back once the car had been checked over. We gave 4 stars only beacuse the first car should have been checked before renting.
To behinest the state of the car is awful we hired it for 5 days and I'm looking at returning it after 1 day the car wouldn't start this morning 450€ and a €300 deposit for a 2007 jeep renegade.I have email with my complaint waiting to hear back! Do not be fooled by the cheap prices advertised
I was late to get to the Athens airport due to congestion everywhere, and I had a large check-in suitcase that needed to be checked in 60 min before the flight (at least I thought so from my Ryanair experience, but it was 40 min with SkyExpress), and I had 18 min. The guys at Volta4u got me there on time, especially the van driver and the blond girl at the desk were brilliant. They were cool, they knew what to do. Many thanks, guys.
Absolutely. The rudest staff ive ever had the displeasure to meet. Un helpful. Arrogent not the vehicle booked. I walked out. Rather. Than trust these people. With my credit card details. They were ripping another customer off for alledged damage. Whilst i waited 45 minutes. To be snarled at. Wasnt aloud to use the toilet. A shambles. Of a company. Avoid. At all cost .
Vehicle not what was requested. A lumbering diesel hard to drive. Why be given a huge vehicle? on roads that are steep and narrow and not familiar. Returning the vehicle was not easy - signposting to Volta compound was totally ineffective.
We had a good experience with Volta4u, despite what the other reviews say. The service was good, yes you need to pay a deposit on a credit card but it does say this at the time of booking. The car was great too and got the deposit back once the car had been checked over. The only downside was we struggled to find out where to pick up the car, as we thought we would be getting a shuttle bus from the terminal but we ended up having to walk to the office, which is less then 10 mins so no big deal. Overall happy with the service and would use again.
They are lying, they are unfriendly, they try to betray. We waited half an hour for the shuttle. After signing the contracts we waited one hour for the car. The desk lady was arrogant, ignorant, unfriendly and cheeky. Stay urgently away from this company.
Volta 4 u Athens center. More than two month waiting for refund on deposit and nothing ,even after several calls and emails. The ladies are arrogant and rude, typical of stupid scammers. Need to go through lawyers to get money back, incredible.
Avoid this car rental agency at all cost! The vehicle had a failing transmission which lost power on uphill climbs and stalled on us several times including once on the busy motorway. A total red flag was probably getting the vehicle with an empty tank gas tank which they reassured us was the way it is done (total lie). Horrible vehicle that had ripped, stained, soiled interiors. Do yourself a favour and avoid giving this company any of your money.
They gave us a broken car with a constantly flashing "check engine" light. The car was filthy and reeked of sweat. Due to the engine problems, it accelerated very poorly. Additionally, there was a huge dent on the rear bumper, which I hope they won't blame on us! On top of everything, the car didn't even have CarPlay. In conclusion, they handed us a broken, non-functioning piece of metal. And it's been exactly a month since we returned the car, but we still haven't received our deposit back. I read reviews about this company on Trustpilot, and many people are complaining about the same issue. This company only returns the money after a dispute is opened on Booking
Horrible service! The worst rental car I have ever dealt with!! We had to wait for 2 hours to receive our car, though we paid and did all process online. We paid for either Mercedes or VW and we end up with an old Nissan and the lady in the office say “ similar category”!!! Not to mention how rude she was, so old fashioned and unprofessional, reminded me Greece 40 years back!!’ No clue about customer service!!! Definitely never ever again and of course will never recommend it to anyone. What a shame!!!!
THE COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT.I BOOK FOR A CAR THROUGH CARJET ANOTHER ONE FRAUDULENT COMPANY.THE DAY OF THE PICK UP THEY DINT GIVE ME THE CAR DUE TO THE FACT THEY DIDN'T ACCEPT DEBIT ONLY CREDIT CARD AND THEY ASK ME FOR 300 EUROS UNDER THE TABLE TO GIVE ME THE CAR.I COULDN'T REACH THE CARJET COMPANY TO ASK FOR HELP SO I LEFT WITH NO CAR AND MY HOLIDAYS WERE RUINED.DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE 2 FRAUDULENT COMPANIES
Seen many bad reviews, but our experience was okay. We had no problems, only some inconveniences. Volta4U in kefalonia is actually Addcar. We booked via booking.com and it said to call the number. We did but this was the number of Europcar: “yes they need to change the number to theirs but we cannot help you”. Inconvenient, so we called a second number that was there and eventually got to the Addcar place (no sign of Volta4u whatsoever, which was annoying). The guy was not in the best mood. Not at pickup nor at drop off. During pickup we walked in on a semi-angry customer. The car was great and everything went smooth. We have nothing much to complain aside from the annoying pickup treasure hunt.
The worst company ever. The whole price for a car for 3 days was total 100€ however at the collection of the car they were yelling following their insane request for a security payment of 1,700€ which obviously we did not have to pay! They through us outside their shop without even thinking that we had an infant with us. Luckily we remembered the name of another company we have been cooperating with who have immediately assisted us!!!! People please stay away from this fraud Company!!!
Pickup went smooth. Nice car, Some damage. At return there appeared to be a parking damage (probably door of another car) of 2mm, hardly visible. After waiting in line at the office, the employee did hardy look at us, was only watching the photo’s and told me rude that our leaving plane was not his problem because we damaged the car. Finally, after a waiting time of 50 minutes he charged us €300 (!!) for this minimal damage, meanwhile constantly flirting with his female collegue. Even came after me that I had to relax (which I was not at that time) and explaining to me that the damage had to be repaired. I showed him the car he was currently giving out was full of non-repaired scratches which he denied. Meanwhile I hope that my €1750 (!!) deposit will be returned rightfully as I did not read the reviews on this site. This was about the 10th time we rented a car in Greece, normally always friendly people. Never treated an hustled like this. Stay away from this terrible company and it’s arrogant employees!!
Watch out! My deposit was debited and not refunded, only after mediation of booking.com only reluctantly refunded after 3 months. Don't rent a car here anymore, it's too risky.
Another scam! I rented a car through Booking.comthe company (Volta4U) didn't provide me with the car as agreed as I had debit card but not credit card. They told me they will cancel the booking themself and I need to contact Rentalcars later and ask to pay me back the amount. Now Rentalcars don't accept responsibility and says I should have contact them immediately and not after my trip!
Volta4u Web pages describe how you can take their hire cars on the ferries to the Greek Islands, but the terms and conditions say you need written permission - very misleading! I emailed Customer services 3 times seeking permission, - no reply! Poor customer service, very misleading Web pages.
This is the worst company to hire a car they kept our deposit of 700 euros made up some faults in the car I will never use them again they are absolutely thieves!
Friendly and efficient car hire from Volta4u close to Corfu airport. A special thanks to Kosmos who offered to drive us and our heavy suitcases to Airport departures to save us a 100m walk. Much appreciated !!
