vivino.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives vivino.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 70.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 70.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to vivino.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning vivino.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between vivino.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of vivino.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of vivino.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. vivino.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether vivino.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether vivino.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, vivino.com.

My order was never shipped, but CC charged. Now Vivino has turned off all communication!! That is totally absurd. No customer service any longer?? The only way is through the Chat button which DOES NOT work whatsoever!
They changed the app recently or someone bought them out because the app went downhill about a year ago. It’s complete rubbish now and it only bats about 55% for recognizing wines when you use the photo feature. It always thinks it’s a different wine. I’m going to find a different app
The sections of 'Facts about the wines' and 'What does this wine taste like?' should be right below the wine's photo; the 'Best picks' and 'Recommended just for you' sections should be last. It's annoying having to scroll through sections I don't need to reach all the wine's facts.
I’ve been using Vivino for years and if I had a problem it was quickly resolved by an agent. Now I have to deal with a chat which is completely worthless. I placed an order on the 21 July and now shows a delay and probably won’t get it in time for my wine tasting party. Order #XDIE9IM. I placed an order yesterday from same distributor and it arrives tomorrow. Can’t find out why but will be canceling my Vivino Plus. Joe
Have used Vivino many times for Christmas orders and through out the year. Very good experience with them with prompt reliable shipping and great customer service.Very much enjoy using the customer reviews to experiment with new wines.
Vivino sent me an email promising a 30% discount if I ordered wine for the first time. I went into its website and ordered wine. I was instructed to put a discount code into the box before ordering which I did. The order went through without the discount. I sought help through customer service but none of the contact pages for Vivino on the internet worked. In addition, no responses to emails it sent accepted replies. My only recourse was to dispute the charge and refuse the wine when delivered. Needless to say I will not be ordering from Vivino in the future.
I'm not sure what is happening to Vivino but I purchased 12 bottles of Ferrari Cabernet and 12 bottles of Duckhorn Chardonnay showed up. I've spent 2 days trying to rectify only to get through to an automated chat system and still no one has reached out. This will be a true test on whether or not I continue to do lots of business on this site. They better get this fixed.
I am getting spam sent to the comments section of wine that I review and wanted to contact vivino on this but their contact action is a useless bot - I understand this is to avoid ‘expensive’ personal contact but given we pay $75/yr for premium access (to an app worth ~$100s of mil), that’s bs. Of course one could just ignore it, but they need a mechanism to fix it. The fix I had was to delete it - the message was basically phishing for contact details of desperate / stupid (potentially wealthy) males; but these message should be easy to detect and delete by Vivino. Also, in contrast to Vivino’S claims, their contact details are hidden / impossible to find - otherwise, for tracking ones wine collection, use, tastes; great app
If I could give zero stars I would…they charge me and it says “delivered” but what I ordered never arrived. Can’t get any help! Just want my money back now!!!***UPDATE AS OF 7/16***They refused a refund and only offered replacement. Given their excessive shipping times and then never receiving the original package, I do not trust them. Bet the “replacement” never comes either!!***FINAL UPDATE***So, the replacement was received but is was not on ice as I had paid for so it was HOT! I live in FLORIDA!!! I will NOT be using this company again and suggest you don’t either!!
Now residing in Georgia, my wife enjoys a specific wine from California and we asked a few package stores if they could bring in the item. No luck at any stores. Started shopping online and found the pricing was the same as what we paid when we lived in California. Had the wine delivered to our home within a week. Great experience.
I recently made my first purchase and was very impressed with this site’s ease of use, excellent communications and support. The wines I bought are manufactured in Moldova, my homeland that I recently visited and got to try them there. Lupii by Gitana winery is a cashmere red blend with a 75% base of Cabernet and a delightful wine. I am so thrilled that this site made it available for purchase in the US, what a treat!
I have been using the app for info regarding wines & it’s worked very well & easy, informative & useful for years. Noticibly, not so much any more. Leads me to believe they became successful & the original developers baled, took the money & now live on an island in the sun—as you do. Because, how do you go from EZ to hard to use, loaded with annoying/unwanted ads to convoluted? Reading their most recent reviews leads me to stay with The Wine Society to purchase wine. Typical when a small company becomes successful & is gobbled up by an investment firm or hedgefund who will suck all the profits out & come up with more ways to get money, provide no customer service, no way to contact, blow tons of smoke about how sorry they are and continue to profit at our expense.😠
Good overall. However, considering that someone 21 years old must sign, it would be nice if Vivino used a logistics company or app that had more flexibility. We had to jump through hoops to have the package dropped at a center to pick-up.
I have been using Vivino for years to just check ratings from users on wine but after basically being blind sided by the abrupt closure of Underground Cellar and their business practices I have turned to Vivino for my wine purchases from their vendors and have not been disappointed. Vivino keeps track of your orders and makes sure your orders ships or communicates if there is a delay. Don’t hesitate Vivino is for real, give them a try you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve had a really good experience with Vivino from beginning to end. Their website is easy to navigate and had just enough info to be helpful. I was pleased with the discount I received but was a little disappointed when I thought it was going to take a couple of weeks to receive my wine. However, it actually came in just a few days! I will definitely use Vivino again and will recommend it to others.
There is no way to contact support. The chat bot is fake and does not actually ever connect to a live agent or create a support ticket or setup callback etc.If you aren't going to buy wine from them, then the app works fine, but it updates every 5-10 minutes which is annoying. If you do buy wine and everything arrives alright there is no issue but if there's one of many issues (bottle missing, bottle broken, entire order not delivered, wine corked, etc.) then you're just stuck paying for nothing and there's no recourse. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Excellent customer service! Actually, best one I had in years 👍👍👍They figured out my order made no sense and called to check if that’s what I really wanted ( I didn’t ). Great communication and easy to reach out. Responsive on both phone and mail.
Liked the unsolicited offer to purchase a wine I had just reviewed and liked. This then ended up being the easiest case of wine I ever ordered, because it was a few buttons to push on the app, and then 3 days later the wine was delivered to my front door. The most low hassle easy wine purchase I have made to date.
EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR WEBSITE, PLACING AN ORDER, PAYING AND RECEIVING THE SELECTED WINES BY MYSELF, ALL WERE GREAT! THE ONLY THING LACKING, I SUPPOSE, WAS MY KNOWLEDGE OWHAT TO ORDER..........I WAS OKAY PLEASED WITH THE ONE "RESERVE" PINOT NOIR, BUT THE BROOKS JANUS PINOT NOIR, WAS A HINT TOO SWEET FOR MY TASTE! I LOVE PINOT NOIRS, AND CAN SPEND REGULARLY $35 to $45 PER BOTTLE.........I THOUGHT MY SELECTIONS WERE OKAY.......BUT I SUPPOSE I AM SPOILED BY THE PINOT FROM THE R.STUART & Co. ------"MENEHEE" ........., YAMHILL- CARLTON DISTRICT.........! DO YOU ALL CARRY THIS PARTICULAR WINE......I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW??!! THANK YOU!
I dont buy any wines without checking Vivino first. A supermaket offered an Amarone for a very low price. Seemingly a good buy but when checking Vivino, the price on offer was basically normal street value. Thanks Vivino for guiding me every time.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
