Is valuemystuff.com Legit?

This was my first time using this platform and I was really happy to get the evaluation that I received as it is exactly what I wanted to hear lol. I’ve decided to keep the base ball and not return it because of this. I understand that without physically seeing the item in person that the appraisal is not guaranteed and I am OK with that. Just hearing the explanation, and history of the tarpaper baseball has me satisfied enough to keep it. Thank you very much and I look forward to future appraisals.

I would say I wasted my money on valuing 3 items. All were Asian. I found out as much about my items from etsy, ebay and other sites using a photo than I did from value my stuff. The last item was a Japanese cloisonne enamel vase that is pre-WWII. Because it is in such good condition and I had no 'bill of sale' they said it was probably mass produced later in the century. I was born in 1949/my dad left Japan in 1947 and my he had acquired it during the occupation of japan in 1945+. I guess he failed to get a bill of sale. Imagine that. In any case I would NEVER use these people again. It feels like someone sits behind a computer just like I did and puts non-specific info and value on these things. I will take the vase to an honest antique dealer and try to find out more about it as it's probably the most valuable. A total waste of my time and money.

The appraisal arrived well within 48 hours and was far more informative even than I'd hoped. Somehow, it was also "warm" in tone, despite my item not currently being in vogue enough to merit monetary value. I'm hanging onto the piece because I learned more about it and came to admire it more than I already did! Thank you!

They claim it would be accepted by insurance in the FAQ but then bury in their terms that it's not to be used for insurance purposes."4.3 The Valuation may not be used for official or formal purposes such as in legal proceedings, insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings, divorces cases, for insurance purposes, or anything such like. Very happy with service I received. I needed my late Fathers WWII medals valued. I gave measurements and attached photographs. Within a few hours I was asked for my Fathers name. Within a couple of days I received a valuation, I needed this for probate and had no intention to sell. More importantly these precious medals did not leave my possession as a lot of other valuation companies wanted them posted to them. Will definitely use again.

Wanted a valuation of a Chinese terracotta Ox that had an Oxford authenticity date of 500 years old. The expert? questioned the validity and authenticity of the world wide accepted method to date clay fired artifacts and said it was most likely fake. To totally disregard the results from one of the world's most trusted institution for TL dating and formulate his/her own option and provide a low ball valuation is obscene. I warn others from using this service. What a joke!

As stated in some previous emails, adding some more instruction would help eliminate some confusion.1. Let customers know they cannot save more than 1 draft and that each draft you save, replaces the one before it.2. What is the point of having an app, if the app cannot do something as simple as saving your drafts/listings when created. I guess problem #1 goes with problem #2.

I was very impressed with the detailed report given. On this occasion, I was told that a physical examination was needed, to ascertain the value of my item. They still did a comprehensive report and, as they were honest enough to say it couldn't be valued by photographs alone, they gave me a full refund, which was in my bank within hours. No quibbles or messing about. I can't wait to use them again!

The appraisal came back in a timely manner. I am left still wondering whether I have an accurate idea of the value of my items since there seems to be an ENORMOUS gap between the appraised value provided and the asking prices of these items online.

I had five appraisals done, and four of them were quite complete. One of them was pretty basic, but still helpful. I appreciated the information on the likely age of my items and where they were produced.

Very timely appraisal. Much appreciated. Wish I had known upfront that back of painting was important. I asked about it day of appraisal hoping to send a pic of the back. Would have loved to finish it up with them seeing the back. Didn’t happen.

ValueMyStuff valued my large collection of antique prints. While not all were as valuable as I had hoped, they did find some gems in there and helped me to auction them too. The whole process was quick and cheaper than hiring a valuer to come to my house.

There was a delay in delivery this time. I have been told that it was a technical problem with my researcher but given the item was a piece of silver work made by my father, I became anxious that there was some vital detail missing. Please note that 'way in the past, I had a fair number of valuations from VMS, all of which were delivered on time and with no problems - hence my concern on tis occasion

Identified the item and gave an appraisal that was reasonable. Took less than two days to respond to my request. Will use this online service again in the future. I was very satisfied.

I had a person on eBay with 6 figure antiques one for over $300,000 tell me last year if it was his opening bid would be $6,000. So I do not know who to believe. I really enjoyed being able to find out more about my item. It was also very cool to see how much it might be worth, because I was pretty clueless. I was a little annoyed there was zero communication after 48 hours. I paid for the 48 hour response time and I didn't get my value until about 60 hours. I asked why it was taking over 48 hours. “Football valuation”

I found this company on the Internet and thought I would give them a try. I have had a football for years that is signed by the 66 world cup players,I have tried getting it valued with a few other companies but never had a reply. I bit the bullet and paid the £25.00 and kept my fingers crossed, in less than 24hrs I had a valuation and a certificate. “Expected More”

I expected more from this. My Royal Doulton figurine had a couple of numbers or initials in yellow that I was curious about and a number 15 next to the back stamp. Instead I received a very vague standard paragraph about the time line that it was manufactured and the so called auction value. Wow! Thanks for basically nothing. Reason I chose this business: No. Not worth the money. I could have and in fact I knew the story of the figurine’s manufacture. It’s easy to look up. Reason I chose this product: More information.

We had two jerseys that appear to be autographed by Michael Jordan. I am told they are authentic, but that the signature has to be authenticated. To me that's not really authenticating something.

I was a bit disappointed that i couldn't get a bit more detailed info on my antique chairs, but can assume it's kind of difficult from pictures only, i just hope their appraisals hold up when i go to sell them.
