unionplus.org Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives unionplus.org a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 69.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 69.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to unionplus.org's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning unionplus.org, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between unionplus.org and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of unionplus.org. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of unionplus.org, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. unionplus.org is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether unionplus.org has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether unionplus.org boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, unionplus.org.

This insurance is terrible. I keep making payments and every month it says I’m past due. Can’t bother calling customer service. They are very rude and don’t help you resolve the issue. I will be canceling
I have participated in multiple UP programs, including both their Mortgage programs which both times secured me rates much lower than other banks! I also use their auto home insurance for my home insurance. After the rates drastically increased this year, when I called back in, they were able to find me another provider with similar benefits at a much lower cost, further saving me additional money. I really appreciate it!!
This company supposedly provides all types of insurance through the Hartford. What a scam, I brought HIP insurance through them , filed a claim and have gotten nothing but the run around . Was told I didn’t have it,was told they couldn’t find my documents from the doctors and the hospital, not once but twice . Yet, they took my money for payments. They do everything to try to get you to get frustrated and give upfiling . This is a scam don’t get anything from this company.
Was able to find a last-minute hotel for a family wedding for almost 40% off! Really simple and user-friendly webpage to get the rates and location needed!
Sold mortgage to known predatory lender less than six months after getting our mortgage. Great process all the way through until they sold our mortgage to a know predatory lender. We did not miss any payments or had any other negagtive credit actions. Now we have to pay fees when making a payment online, by check, or by phone. No explanation as to why, no response to inquires or follow-ups. Might be union owned but they don't have the Union sense of fellowship and doing what is right. Buyer beware
i am in the union, have a very crédible credit union, so union plus slipped me a life insurance application through my crédit union name in the mail, as if to pose as a special deal and benifit of being member of that credit union. they cant keep my monthly premium straight. payement due on 1st of month. always pay on time, and the next month they say im past due and threaten in bold red lettres of à lapse in coverage. called them plenty of times and they say to ignore the bill and just pay my monthly premium and this is only happening because they recently changed hands. well. that was 2 years ago, same stupid billing errors. every month. now they raised my premium and they said they are allowed to do that each time my wife and i turn an age that has a zéro or 5 at the end. she just turned 60 and i turn 65 in july of 2025. wow. 2 more bump ups for them. here is the crummy part. when i get tired of them cheating me, and i dump them, i lose all i've paid these jokers over the years. the 5 year rise in premiums on both me and my wife was not discussed with me upon purchase of this policy, but they say its written in my policy. well, it isnt!!! so i told them to show me this in writing. they sent me a policy again, and it still doesnt mention these raises. as far as billing, i feel they are purposely keeping me in arrearages in hopes to use that as a reason not to pay out in the évent of my or my spouse death. do not trust this company.they are sketchy. shame on you, union plus
I have sent multiple messeges requesting for cancellation of my life insurance and they ignored me. I also stopped bank payments to them and they still send me mail charging me 12$ monthly says i owe them 132$ now after a year of attempting to get it canceled.EVERYONE AVOID THIS SCAM LIFE INSURANCE, THEY WONT LET YOU CANCEL YOUR LIFE INSURANCE
It seemed like no one shared what we were asked to upload we had to upload the same docs several times to different people by the time our loan was done the rates had gone up. Maybe should have done it with another load company to get the lower rates because they said it would only take a few days with union it took about 2 months. Sad to say because the people are very nice that we worked with we would not recommend them.
I have a credit card issued by Union Plus, which I really like. But, based on a recent car rental from them, I will never use any of their supposedly “discount” services. I was looking for a hybrid but wanted something larger than a Prius. When I saw the picture of an SUV on their listing for a hybrid, I made a reservation. As soon as I did so, the image of a Prius appeared on the confirmation. This is false advertising—even if the fine print under the picture reads Prius equivalent. Additional fees (taxes) are also added at time of vehicle return. I expect much better.
I started off with Michael and he was excellent..and then I was passed down to Meredith unfortunately... Working with Meredith was a horrible experience from the moment I spoke with her ,her tone was awful... I think she was overworked...I complained about her several times....I do not recommend Union plus Mortgage...Near the end of the loan processing,Union plus Mortgage ask for information from my homeowners insurance that was impossible for the company to give them...Loan Cost EstimatorAfter that I just cancel the application and went with another company...
I truly had to keep the ball rolling on my mortgage. There were about 4-6 people assigned to the different processes and none were very good at communicating with me and the fact I lived on Pacific coast and they worked on East Coast made this even worse. Twice, paperwork was messed up on their end that cost me 100's of dollars in increasing closing costs. When it was all finished, I got NO communication from Union Plus that it was approved or how the payout would work or the paying of my old mortgage... nothing! I only knew I had closed from the actual company that holds my mortgage. I also NEVER got my gift card that they promised after closing.
Refinanced in 2019 thinking I had the Union behind me with the "benefits" of a Union Mortgage. Could have gone with another lender for a bit less in fees However, I wanted to support the Union. My loan was sold 6 months later. Need to be with co. 1 year Tobe eligible for benefits. Disappointed. Was hoping to find a lender that would keep my loan for many years. Dislike being sold off and having to reset my payments, provide proof of insurance coverage, insurance payments, flood insurance, etc every 6-12 months.
Working with union mortgage made our home buying experience enjoyable. The ease of uploading documents cut down the time frame for our house closing!Six weeks after settling in our new home, we received a $500 Visa gift card!Jane Lehman
They knew that my current bank paid my taxes but they sent theirs as well. So I paid double taxes and have to wait 3 months for my reimbursement from county. This boosted their commission because I was going to use the taxes to pay down refi balance.
Had an incredible experience! I was kept well informed during the process. My rep got me THE best deal! I was amazed at what our interest rate ended up being and the loan credits we received! We will absolutely be using Union Plus Mortgage for our future home needs
Very helpful staff, each step of process easy too understand and complete. No,.unexpected trouble, and would recommend Union Plus too all of my co-workers.Great to have mortgage and old line of credit combined to one payment.Thanks,Mr. Edwards.
Everything went well for the most part. I wasn't promised a gift card like I see many people were for a refinance. I am an AFGE member and that's the main reason I chose Union Plus for my refi. I think Michael and Meredith were mostly helpful and responsive. Meredith did seem short at times in the beginning. The online processing and docu sign system was great and having a notary/paralegal (not sure which) come to my home for the closing was awesome. I am pleased so far with the process. I contacted 2 other companies about a refinance prior to Union Plus and Union Plus was the most responsive and had the best interest rate.
Because UPM is a broker I did not deal with the mortgage company directly, which was ok. But the person who was helping with our martgage was very unresponsive with the title company and actually did not return calls from the title company. This was a private sale, no realtors involved so I am sure it was a little bit different, but I wish there would have been more communication on the side of UPM
Michael and Meredith were great. I was able to refinance completely contactless, but with great email communication every step of the way. I'm happy to be able to have union hardship protection for my mortgage should I ever need it. I've put off refinancing for along time, because I didnt really understand what was involved or if I would have to come out of pocket to do it (i didnt) and UPMC made it easy to get my questions answered and the process completed.
I feel Union Plus has false advertising since I never got my $700 rebate for using Union Plus for my mortgage. Which also concerns me about if I lost my job will Union Plus even cover my mortgage payments as an added bonus for choosing their service. Next time I'll be going with my local bank for a mortgage.Update:Micheal reach out to me and resolved my issue, but I still stand by my review. The reason being I had issues with the closing since I or my realtor couldn't reach the loan processor about questions or concerns we had. My loan agent was great and helpful until communication stop when everything transfer over to the loan processor. Also I contacted my loan agent about my rebate issue and he told me there was nothing he could do since it is done automatically because we had to fill out a survey to receive it. Also expect your loan to be sold within the year to another company. Many headache came with the transfer for me. Last, I feel the only reason I was able to get my rebate was because of this review.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
