tjmaxx.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives tjmaxx.com a fairly high trust score on the platform: 81.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 81.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to tjmaxx.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning tjmaxx.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between tjmaxx.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of tjmaxx.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of tjmaxx.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. tjmaxx.com is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether tjmaxx.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether tjmaxx.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, tjmaxx.com.

“Shop on line at your peril”

Recently I ordered three things from TJ Maxx on line. One item I was told would not be received with no explanation. The second order was for a set of two lamps. It took me an hour to unpack the lamps. Another 30' to put them together. Guess what! One of the lamps didn't work. I returned the lamps to my local store in Ypsilanti, MI. I was told they couldn't take the lamps back because since one didn't work they couldn't put it on the floor. Wow! I didn't break the lamp so I would be punished for returning a defective item? The cashier called the manager who ok'd the return and off I went, somewhat satisfied. The second item was 2 outside chairs described as dining chairs online but when they arrived they were very low, like beach chairs. These were heavy and I needed to get help to return them. In the store the cashier once again contacted the manager. This must have been a different manager. After quite a long wait the manager appeared and immediately began scolding me. Is that how she was trained to assist and upset customer? If so, something is drastically wrong with the training. After much nastiness on both sides the manager finally agreed to take back the chairs even though, according to her, they should have been sent back by Fedex. Despite the outcome I wanted, my interchange was so unpleasant that I will not again shop at TJ Maxx. There are many other stores who know how to treat customers and who hire managers that are kind and understanding. Products used:None Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Scammers!”

I ordered a mid calf rouged boot. When I finally received the item 12 Days later, Mind you, it wasn't even the right item! When I went back to look into what happened, I noticed that they actually changed the description of the item to an ankle boot but kept the same picture in item number. Probably thinking I wouldn't notice! The boots they sent me was so ugly and not even what I wanted. I immediately went and returned them to a store. When I try to write an email to customer service to complain, I got an automated response about shipping which had nothing to do with the email. I finally called the next day because I also wanted my shipping and handling fee returned. The woman on the phone was really nice but I did explain how I really felt fooled and like I had been scammed. How can you change the description of an item on someone's confirmation email Mid-purchase? The item is still up on their website with the correct description so whoever else 's goes to order it is going to get surprised when they receive an item that's not even similar! Do not buy online!

“Defective Item”

Be cautious when buying jewelry or any item in this store, I bought a very nice ring, but the next day all the stone fell off. Terrible customer service the supervisor had a very bad attitude, I just wanted to exchange it for another but unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt. They couldn't do anything for me and they never found my transaction, but they did take my money from the bank.

“This card and company suck”

I went into Marshalls today to purchase a few few things to get ready for my Jamaica trip. To my surprise my card was declined, called them, and they told me that it was because of too many authorized users. Really cause I am the only person under my roof lady customer service was rude. Not helpful to me at all. Consumer beware do not get this card. They suck Service

“Scum”

They have lost a loyal customer who spent lots of money with them and they can care less. I returned an item via mail and their refund policy which is ridiculous in itself 10 to 14 business days to process did not even process. On the 15 day I called them and they refunded it back to my card but stated it would take another 5 to 10 days. Then the kicker they deducted 11.99 from my total for return shipping when smh it was free shipping to begin with. If they treat all their customers like this then I hope they go out of business! “Beurer Germany”

I bought this professional manicure set from beurer and the quality is amazing, I got for such a good price at tj maxx, here you can find amazing things such as this. I am in love with this machine and can't wait to get my nails done with it, it comes with so many things recommended 10/10! Tip for consumers:Service was amazing Products used:Christmas gifts Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Bad Customer Service from Jewelry Department”

I've been shopping at the Harbison location since 2016 and have thoroughly enjoyed the many good deals that I've found from colognes to watches. However, tonight my experience took a turn as I politely asked for help with looking at a pair of shades. I was rudely told, I'm helping another customer, and once she finished assisting that customer she immediately turns around and starts putting bracelets in a box. Next she walks from behind the counter with the boxes in her hands and tells me she will be back. I felt very unappreciated and unimportant to the Representative. Why would you make me wait until you finish stocking items before assisting me? That was very poor customer service. I spend a lot of money in this store and didn't feel valued tonight as a customer as usual. Service

“Extremely unsanitary restrooms”

My rating is for your bathrooms at Mount Pleasant Ave NJ area. Five shoppers)myself included) were not able to use the bathrooms due to the level of uncleanliness. These conditions are very inconsiderate to your shoppers who are spending good money! Not to mention this level of uncleanliness increases COVID transmissions due to unsanitary high touch surfaces. Please do better!

“So disappointed”

I am so disappointed at the TJ Maxx in Brunswick Maine. I have been such a fan of TJ Maxx over the years, but the last couple times and tonight especially so disappointed in how they handle their register. We went to the line and it must've been 20 people deep or more and all they had at the register were two women who did such a marvelous job, but everybody was waiting. I watch the manager throwing returns in the carriage right outside of the lines, and did nothing to help at the register or to add people, nor did they call anybody from the back of the store to help all of whom we're just rearranging displays over the years I was always in awe as to how they were so customer orientated at the register. If there was more than three or four people in line, they would always call extra people to help.

“Terrible customer service”

I was shopping today at tj and there was a long line with only one cashier open. There were 2 girls sitting on the counter ignoring us in line. I went to checkout at the jewelry counter and was told I needed to purchase jewelry to check out there. Terrible service! Products used:Nail clippers, shampoo, sink trap, chips and bracelet Service Value Quality

“" Bait & Switch" wrong item delivered.”

Delivered an inferior item in place of what I ordered & believed I was receiving from the website. Although my order reflected correct item# with picture, tjmaxx sent entirely different color, style and quality suitcase. Disappointed by "bait & switch". Tip for consumers:The order verified 4 exact item remaining available after my purchase was confirmed. Therefore, there is not a plausible excuse for substituting an inferior, unordered, unapproved item. Products used:I will attempt to return. No customer service available today on their website Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Never order from TJMaxx.com or Sierra.com”

As much as I used to love going to TJMaxx I don't even want to think about the store after it messed up all my online orders. Even with its other brand Sierra. At first I was excited to shop from TJMaxx.com. Both stores show great selections online and good discounts also. Don't be fooled. Your order either gets cancelled the next day or mysteriously ships after 5-7 days after you bought it somewhere else because you were told the order was cancelled. What's the point of ordering anything with them if it's all going to be cancelled or super late? Buyer beware, you're money is going to get tied up on orders that never come in. Tip for consumers:Don't place orders online, it's a waste of time. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Poor online services”

I order a gift for my father's birthday and it took 7 days to receive the package but found out in wrong color. Careless stuff put wrong item in packaging! When I call customer service, they said there is no replace option, and I need to return it by myself. They even did not show any responsibility for their fault. How disappointing!

“Messy stores.”

Don't bother shopping there except for shoes. For just a few bucks more, shop Lord and Taylor. Great sales, good quality, nice sales people, clean stores. In the long run it costs less at L&T because you'll buy quality. Love L&T.

“Problematic”

1) It takes at least a full 2 weeks to receive your online order. And theres a very tight return timeframe already. (It's also hard to plan payments on debit cards for 2 weeks later, when they finally deduct your money.) 2) The customer service reps are usually poorly informed, and rarely show any understanding or care. 3) There are glitches in the system: on multiple occasions, I got erroneous emails every 2 hours for days on end, until customer service responded to correct it. (And often, it takes repeated contacts for them to understand and fix it. Then, they don't offer any apologies.) Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Good!”

Most recently I got a "chain" that looks more like it's made of silver nuggets of successive sizes. Anyway, compliments every time I wear these pieces. They are weighty. Most expensive item was $69 (pendant). It is about 5" wide. Some of these are silver-over-wax items. So far I have experienced NO tarnishing. I can't guarantee that every store has this jewelry, but it's worth checking on.

“Awful Ship Times”

I find it absolutely ridiculous for a company to take anything over 5 business days to ship an online order. Unless you're making the item from scratch. I placed my order 10 business days ago and nothing. No cancellation. Just a sitting order. If macys can ship my order in 5 hours you sure as heck can get your processing together and ship faster. If you can't get your stuff together then stop trying to get into e-commerce. Never purchasing online again. I recommend you don't either cause who knows if and when I'll ever get my order. Maybe T.J.maxx.com is operating as a drop shipper. Whatever the case, annoying. Tip for consumers:Over 10 business days to ship and still counting as of January 2022

“Fun place to shop”

I shop T. J. often, usually when I'm looking for a specific item. I have never had any negative issues. I enjoy their wide range of eclectic and unique items, usually in the back of the store. It's hard to leave without buying something...

“Bad store”

Bought some face wash and it was rancid. Even after I washed it off it still smelled. It grossed me out. They have too much inventory sitting around because no one is buying it. Real messy store. Years ago I used to like it but that's changed. I seldom shop there anymore.

“TJ Online thee Worst”

I have tried to place 2 orders online and both have been cancelled, stating a Billing issue, however my credit card was Charged. Phone associates were absolutely NO Help, not interested in even trying to complete the sell. All I want, how about the items I ordered. Now, I have to wait 5 days before the charge is removed from my credit card. What a tremendous waste of time. Tip for consumers:Don't waste your time, shop Nordstrom Rack or Off 5th Saks 5th Ave. Products used:None - order was repeatedly cancelled.

“The store is always clean and new items are put out daily.”

I love shopping at T. J. Maxx stores. They have lovely surprises every where from clothing to bedding to wall decor. I could spend hours in there and keep finding things I missed. I especially like the name brands that I don't pay name brand prices for. Marshall's for instance, shoes and clothes to die for but get there early the cute stuff goes fast.

“Poor shipping speed”

TJ Maxx ships order a week after it's placed unless you're paying for shipping. Your have to spend at least $89 to qualify for free shipping. It took over two weeks for me to receive my order and I've already lost interest of the things I ordered by the time I received them so had to return them to one of the local store. I'm glad I realized I didn't want the items that bad. Tip for consumers:Expect three weeks to receive your order. Products used:Clothing. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Item Ordered 2 weeks Ago Still Not Shipped”

I ordered a summer dress weeks ago that still hasn't shipped. I called to cancel, since it hasn't even shipped, but customer service refused to do so. I can only return in-store, whenever and if ever I receive the item. I wish I never bothered to try shopping TJ Maxx online... I feel like they just stole my money.

“Constant cancellations from TJ Maxx & Marshalls orders”

Within the last 4-5 months, I've placed several orders on TJ Maxx and Marshalls' web sites. At least 4 of them have been cancelled (according to the emails) due to items being out of stock, despite the fact that when I check back on their web site several days later, the items are still listed as being in stock. I then have to resubmit a new order. In most cases once the new order is placed and shipped, those so-called out of stock items arrive at my door. It's ridiculous and someone at their HQ is messing things up. When one of my orders was cancelled due to payment issues, I called customer service to resolve it and try to figure out the problem was. They were of no help. All they could do was resubmit my payment information, which was a complete waste of time as my order was cancelled anyway. I really hope a consumer law suit is brought up against this company. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Still the best deal out there”

They don't have lower prices on a particularly celebrated day: Mother's Day, Christmas or what have you. They have the lowest prices everyday. National brands,. No frills,. No gimmicks,. Just branded products at lowest prices. I bought a dress Polo shirt at T.Js for $15 and the same shirt was priced at $110 at Saks Fifth Ave. Even if you're well-off and don't mind paying $110 for the shirt at a top name retailer DON'T think you're getting $110 worth of materials and labor. Approximately 90% of that cost is 'margin'. A tax on idiots who are pretentious.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
