timeguard.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives timeguard.com a low trust score on the platform: 18.2. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: New. Suspicious. Dubious.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 18.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to timeguard.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the New. Suspicious. Dubious. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning timeguard.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between timeguard.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of timeguard.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of timeguard.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. timeguard.com is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether timeguard.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether timeguard.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, timeguard.com.

Awful awful awful. How can they get away with selling products that do not work! Servers constantly go down meaning the WiFi timers stop working for a couple of days until they fix the issue. No hot water for days and no way to override it due to the control being through the app. Flashing blue light of death (if you know, you know).
Genuinely pleased with the various products and customer service received. Exceptionally pleasant people to deal with especially the Sales Director and Internal Sales Administrator.
Electrician fitted this 3 weeks ago. Not the easiest thing to set up but not too bad when I got used to it. OK until a few days ago when time and date changed totally. Didn't notice until heating had been off for a while. Reset time etc, Timeguard helpline thought it may have been a power surge. Less than 24 hours later it happened again. Helpline offered another one under the guarantee scheme but absolutely nothing towards labour charges. Now have a Honeywell which seems more intuitive and easier instructions.
Yet again my WiFi spurs are not working! This keeps happening time and time again. How often does this company have to let their users down before they will consider a proper fix. A server or software problem at their end will mean their products won't work. This always seems to happen when you rely on having decent heating or hot water. I have been late for work and super annoyed countless times over the past 2 years because of either their useless app or no weekend monitoring of their flaky servers. Do yourselves a favour and look for another solution. I am now about to look for an alternative product to preserve my sanity!
It appears their Wi-Fi spur is most unreliable, especially at weekends, when there is no reply from TG’s offices to rectify THEIR PROBLEM.Yesterday was not the first time this problem has occurred.TIMEGUARD, please get your engineers to sort out the matter on an URGENT BASIS
I have 5 of the WiFi fused spurs at c£60 a pop. Every time the Timeguard cloud service fails (which it seems to do on a regular basis) the fused spurs stop operating and the scheduled heating programs do not run. This situation remains (I.e. no hearing) until the cloud service is reinstated. To Timeguard: Please do a better job of monitoring your cloud service so that you can fix it faster and/or consider changing cloud providers.
Total rubbish, when either Timeguards server is down or internet is down everything switches off.Clearly timeguard have used amataur codes to come up with this total rubbish, none of my other wifi switches costing only 10% of the price have these issues
The app logged me out and despite 5 password resets it steadfastly refuses to let me login! We have an electric Aga oven which is controlled via the WiFi fused spur and this evening it completely ruined dinner for 8 peope. Horribly embarrassing in front of guests.Absolutely useless.
My WiFi switch wont work again. Once again the TimeGuard cloud service or servers are Broken. This means that you have spent your hard earned money something that simply stops working and there is nothing you can do about it until these lazy incompetent people return to work and maybe reboot their system. There is hope however, there is a similar product called Chosry - it is a much simpler system and doesn't depend on the manufacturers service being on line - just your WiFi. Plus its available from Amazon UK cheaper than the Timeguard one. Don't waste your money and avoid repeated frustration by purchasing the Chosry. Simply search on Amazon for Chosry Wifi Fused Switch.UPDATE - I have replaced my Timeguard switch as suggested above and it works GREAT!
I have 2 Timeguard WiFi Fused Spurs (Model: FSTWiFi) and normally they're fine to control my central heating. However, once again I am unable to log in to the app which helpfully says "Network Busy" and NOT "our server is down again so your devices wont work"! Even the Override switch wont work so I have no way of heating my house. Why should a technical problem at Timeguards end prevent my switch from working? There are other items out there which will keep working even if my wifi goes down! Time to ditch my 2 Timeguard switches and install something more reliable.
Timeguard NTT01. I've had three replacements of this model within 12 months. Each model developed a similar fault. At the end of a timed period, the timer would stay on. By just touching the dial, the mechanism would release and then turn off. But obviously, that's not a fix unless you want to sit in an airing cupboard waiting for the fault. I've now replaced the NTT01 with a NTT03 but that has no way of turning the programme off manually, (such as when the central heating is taking the water heating load). If you power off the unit, the battery would not be charging and when restarting the device, all the programmes would need to be re-set. Not satisfactory products. Surely they can do much better?
Why manufacture a central heating programmer that is completely unintuitive? Who does the company think is the end user of their programmers? My Timeguard TRTO36N is infuriatingly stupidly confusing. All i want to do is what every end user wants. I am not trying to outdo NASA by launching a rocket.Just want to programme heating to come on each day and copy each day so that I do not have to re-enter every time. But the poorly conceived controls require a programme that should get me to Mars.Do not let an electrician install this programmer or you too will be nystified by the complicated and useless instructions.
Continued good service from long standing customer.Note it's worth reading the manual in full before purchase to insure the product fits the bill with Wi-Fi products. If you do not know how to split the Wi-Fi bands then avoid or buy a dual band compatible device as easier to pair... but splitting bands or basic router admin settings should be something most people can do as the details are on every internet suppliers website on FAQ's.I also have some floods and a timer also with no issues!
Today I removed my FSTWiFi Fused Spur Timeswitch whi9ch was professionally installed. After 3 months it ceased to work. I could no longer connect it to my Wi-Fi. I tried to find a solution online and came across these reviews. It seemed that others were having problems too. I hate to throw good money after bad, but I eventually followed the advice of some users and bought a Chosry switch instead. I installed it myself in 30 minutes and ity worked first time.
Im having a problem with logging into the app. It keeps kicking me out at the log in screen, returning 'network busy'Been an issue since yesterday evening and no answer on the phone line or to email I sent this morning.Update - Ive had an email response saying they know there was an issue with the server, but no clue as to what it was and if its likely to happen again...
The app is a pile of rubbish!!!! I’ve not been able to log in for months, I cannot get passed the sign in screen despite me resetting my password (as I thought this may have been the issue) but nothing!!! All I want to do is put my outdoor lights on a new programme and I cannot do it because the stupid app won’t let me log in! It’s clearly an issue, I’ve seen many reviews where other people are having the same issue and is it being addressed????? I don’t think so! I hate leaving negative reviews but the app really needs fixing and some money spent on upgrading it!!
Bought a Timeguard PIR Sensor 13 months ago. It unfortunately became faulty. Contacted service dept. and they didn’t hesitate to immediately replace it with a new one. Delivery was only three working days from my initial complaint. That is excellent customer service by any measure and means that you can rely on Timeguard products because they fully back their guarantee with actions.
Purchased a Timeguard Wi-Fi Controlled Fused Spur from LED Bulbs. It was a good price and arrived promptly. Purchased it to control a range cooker remotely. Had real problems enabling it to be recognised by our BT network - called the Timeguard helpline - they were very helpful. After trying several things we managed to set it up creating a network between two phones (hotspot) which was then recognised by the BT network. Great product .... now does what is says on the can!
We had 3 FSTWIFITU units installed in a mountaineering club hut in December. They have given us nothing but trouble! The timer schedules are not stored locally in the switches, but in the Cloud. So when the Internet is down, as happens quite frequently in a mountainous area, no timing schedule operates. This has wasted a lot of electricity as the switches then have to be left permanently on. Worse still, when the Internet comes back up, the switches do not reconnect and have to be hard rebooted with a power reset in order to reconnect. The switches also sometimes go offline and won't reconnect because of a weak WiFi signal. But other devices in the hut work satisfactorily in every location. I would not recommend Timeguard to anyone who wants a reliable way to remotely monitor and control electrical switches
I had an issue with my SupplyMaster garden lights, following an installation of an electric car charger, which used the myenergi App. We were without outside lights for several days, in a very dark area of our rural driveway.I e mailed the help desk at SupplyMaster for advice, as my electrician’s were slow to respond. I promptly received a reply from Vishal Sanghani, who was most clear and helpful. When I still couldn’t get the lights to operate, Vishal actually rang me and was again, most helpful. He suggested changing the fuse on the spur and my lights immediately worked! It was most refreshing to speak to a kind human! Thank you 🙏🏻

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
