We had cases of paper and other supplies delivered today. We are on 2nd floor with no elevator. Great service from two very handsome men. They deserve a bonus for all that lifting.
My son was driving behind one of their delivery trucks and a deflector tore off and damaged his car. Truck driver drove off. Staples would never admit that they had a truck in the area or that the truck which wasn’t properly maintained since a wind deflector tore off, was responsible for the damage to our vehicle. My son could have been seriously injured or killed. Very dishonest company!
Since they updated their system last year the rewards number no longer exists I cannot log into my account either I was told today that after 18 months your account is deactivated. So now I have warranties on products that I don’t have access too. Their suggestion was to create a new account. I think the reason for shopping with them in the first place was the ease of having prior purchase available. I can go back to 2016 and see old receipts but my account no longer exists today. Be careful who you shop with,
I placed an online order for same day pickup of an HP Laser toner cartridge and when I went to the store my order "couldn't be found in their system" and they later canceled my online order and charged my credit card for it the day after they canceled it. They now refuse to refund my money and tell me I have to dispute it with my credit card company. This is a horrible company and their customer service staff are equally horrific. Stay away!!!!!
This experience happened on October7, 2024. I used their new recycling program for office items I no longer had a use for. The first time I recycled 24 three ring binders. The second time I recycled a used printer. Since I never received what I thought would be a credit I went back about two weeks after the original effort to recycle the printer. As I was receiving the paperwork for the printer I asked about the credit for the binders. On the paperwork I had received on the binders I was expecting an email about the reward I would receive via an email. At that time, I was told I would receive a credit for $10 to be used on a $30 purchase at a later date. Fair enough. Then came the problem. I was told that the credit was good for the day I recycled an item and the following day! What kind of answer is that? Not at all fair to the customer. I had no immediate use for the credit but was expecting to use it at a later time. This is no way this should be considered a good way to treat customers. I think they need too change the way they will let you use the credit at a later time of my choosing. They need to change the process to be WAY MORE CONSIDERATE OF THE CUSTOMER. Not a far way to treat customers.
Employees need customer service training. The cashier did not even say "hello". Two employees on the floor seemed more interested in whatever they were doing than greeting/helping me, the customer. Also, Staples store music is terrible! It was so depressing I couldn't wait to get out of the store.
Only received one item from my order. Tried to message them. No reply. Tried to call them. They said they will offer a replacement, 1 week later, nothing has came.
I shop at Staples in Seekonk Ma. The manager of the printing department is Ray.I have to say, it was enlightening to speak to a professional, however besides that a person that takes Pride in his work & company.You can always tell when someone wants to just get rid of you, always in a rush and not listening to your needs.I think that most Negative reviews are because the customer is always in a hurry & the information given to the representative. Update: So AFTER they went & put another order through (ridiculouse I know), I forwarded the invoice to them letting them know we will NOT pay for they're unauthorized transaction, they refunded us on that 2nd order & let us keep the products.Just places an auto-delivery for lysol cleaner and got the auto-delivery confirmation however nowhere does it tell me when our FIREST DELIVERY will be delivered. I went into the Orem Utah Staples Print shop yesterday dejected. I was tasked with making business cards for African dignitaries who would be meeting the governor the next day. I had been to 3 print shops before staples and had been told it would take at least 1 day which would be too late. When I entered John, a kind, knowledgeable young man, greeted me with a smile and a solution. Not only did the cards turn out beautifully but John did it in an hour and a half. He also fixed a formatting error and made sure I wasn't over charged. He saved the day and I will never forget this experience.
Definitely the go-to place for office supplies, no questions about it. They are good with products, stock, delivery, customer support with whatever it is that you need, basic stationery stuff, furniture, you name it. You can get better deals at other stores and chains on some stuff but i dont think it is necessarily worth your while. pretty good choice for one-stop office shoping.
I ordered a printer from Staples because associate said I was getting 2 months of free tech service. Minutes later I received an email receipt and they charged me for the "free" tech service. I cancelled the order and immediately received an email confirming cancellation. The next day, Staples charged me TWICE for the cancelled printer totaling $468.58 and both charges posted the following day. Staples froze $468.58 of my own money which I could not use to pay my bills. Seven days later I received one credit and they still owe me $234.29. This is fraud.
32780-Shasta was very helpful in assisting me with an Amazon return. She patiently answered my questions regarding a shipping lable. As I patiently waited for Shasta to finish assisting a customer who was there before me, a line starting to accumulate. GM "Lucy"walked up and began helping customers who were behind me. She started asking me questions and giving instructions. Her tone was rude and she seemed annoyed. There was no reason for her to even be speaking to me. Shasta was already taking care of the situation.The pleasant energy of my experiencre changed when Lucy came to check out customers as I stood waiting for the return lable to print. It seemed as though Lucy was trying to embarass me in front of the other customers with her tone. I want to say that Shasta was very helpful. Lucy, on the other hand, was rude and quite annoying. Once the receipt printed, Lucy firmly laid my receipt on the counter and push it towards me. Obviously, she is another example of why good Customer Service has declined.
Staples in Greer SC has an employee named “Salem” who took my return from Amazon. Salem needs to be retrained in customer service. She didn’t speak during the return and was generally unfriendly.
Zero stars given - The service at the Tarpon Springs Staples location is truly abysmal. As of today, we are finished here. During our interaction at the print center, Jennifer (Jen) was rude, condescending, curt and dismissive. When I asked for help, she refused. Her representation of your company is unfavorable. The assistant store manager, Angelina, who in the past was approachable and helpful, dismissed my complaint about Jen. According to her, it's a self-service print center that doesn't offer assistance, and employees aren't compensated well enough to offer assistance. I bought ear candy wireless headphones. The instructions were indecipherable, and they had no charger cord. I got a refund. 2days later I bought Turbotax basic for 39.95. It took me 2hours to fimd it didnt work. It would not recognize any of my personal data. The manager said they do not refund open software. I threw the package down and threatened to go higher. I am at my wit’s end with this Staples in the Marysville Mall on state avenue next to PetCo & JCPenney’s! The customer service on the selling and ringing up customers side was great! Brennan was awesome, helped me out tremendously and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable! However, on the printer services side of things, the employee was a f’ing jerk! He was some young dude with an crappy ass attitude who wouldn’t help me tape up my package. He just stood and watched me struggle hard core trying to get the shipping label to stay put while I taped it. Needless to say this Staples in Marysville, WA is a joke! “Worst Service Ever”
Ordered a Laptop online at Staples in Campbell River as they had 2 in stock and said it would be available for pickup in 2 hours. You are given a choice of delivery or pickup at store. I chose pickup at store. Called store and they say no, it would be delivered to the store next week, I said I did not want it then. I have cancer and am going into the hospital soon. I needed it today. They show 2 in stock. They said no I would have to wait till it is delivered. What poor service. I usually go to staples in Mount Vernon NY and the store usually is empty except for the Marketing printer department which the line is very long and you have to be prepared to wait at least 2 hours in order to be helped. Although I shop at Staples for supplies, my last visit was solely to solve a problem that I was having with my Samsung tablet. I run a business and ordered ink from Staples on a Monday. They claim free next-day delivery, that is a lie. I checked my order's status on Tuesday, and the item didn't ship. “Never received what I ordered”
I placed an on-line order of 2 cartons of 10 foam boards measuring 30x40. These can only be purchased on line because of their size. They can only be ordered by the carton so they can be shipped safely and not damaged. Well, I received two boards! Just two. Someone actually opened a carton, took two boards out and wrapped the bottom and top with plastic and sent them to me. Of course they were damaged. I laughed this off with Kristine, the very nice Staples service rep. She reordered my boards. “INK Cartridge's Return”
I work from home. Because I am on oxygen - I do not drive. I have 61 empty ink cartridges to return to Staples. THEY will not allow me to return them and get credit with my rewards so I can purchase other items. I think a picture is worth a 1,000 words. I ordered this plastic organizer cart from Staples... price is $51.99 so not exactly dirt cheap. “Beware of difficult return policy”
I ordered computer monitors for my company and while they arrived quickly, the return process has been very trying. The monitors were of poor quality, so I wanted to return them. “Great computer techie, but inconsistent service”
Because their computer techie Ray is so good, I decided to replace my dying old computer with a new one from Staples. They were very good about keeping to my budget -- but failed to install Microsoft Office, even though we agreed which plan I needed and what it cost. I even ordered a new printer. When everything arrived (2 days late; Ray was sick): no Microsoft Office. It's now the following week and I can't access my attachments. Business is floundering, they keep projecting "it'll be Monday for sure" and it isn't, now it's Thursday for sure. I should have gone to my reliable small business Jeff at Unistar in Toronto who'd have had everything running by now. If this isn't operational Thursday, I'm returning everything and avoiding these big companies in future. “Problems with credit site”
The shopping site is fine you can find most of what you need works fine like office depot. But, the problem is after you have purchased going on credit site; it is financed through Citi but for some reason you cannot log on from their site.It doesn't revert back to main Staples account. So I always have to go back to Staples email and link from there; Once you log out it reverts back to Citi and you can't log back in; won't recognize your info. So you can't save bookmark.
