Is sparxmaths.uk Legit?

just no, even with the new features that current ceo mr hegarty has been adding in like multi-part answers and the removal of question redoings for bookwork checks, it still doesn't take away from the fact that it's still a pain to even use. nothing apart from the require homework wants me to continue using sparx at all and honestly, it sucks there's no other option in the uk apart from sparx since hagertymaths got shut down in october 2023. tl;dr, it's still rubbish even with mr. hegarty's leadership of sparx, and this is the only maths homework website in the uk.

i love sparx because it gives useless questions that you have already learnt at school. happy days. the bookworm checks are soooooo fun for anyone who likes writing codes in your margin. for anyone like young sheldon this would be your dream. pls schools could you torture you students with this horrificly amazing experience for them

Sparx sucks because it has stoopiyed bookwork checks, and also, it just wastes the free time of students, and it forces you to get 100%. If you don't, you get a detention... I mean, every week more than half of my class have a detention.And do you know how long I sit in the computer, answering useless questions?? It is a stupid "homework" site that forces people to write stupid bookwork checks and eats up their time. It feels like a big punishment has been cast over British secondary school students. Don't use it, if you value your life!!

There is a woman who directs a lot of the informational videos on sparx maths. I genuinely despise her voice, and how her volume decreases at the end of each sentence it irritates me. Such an inconsistent ugly voice that i despise. She should quit. She could very well be a wonderful women in real life, and there's no doubt in my mind she is. But her voice makes me sick and it is the sole reason i hate watching the videos, for fear she may appear.

As someone who has been forced to use it for 2 years, it’s inconsistent with the answers and videos, the videos show the answers formatted in one way, but the answer you have to write is in a completely different format. There aren’t enough slurs and swears to say how bad this is.

Sparx maths, in my opinion, pretty decent for my education. The bookmark codes just throw me off for a while and when my mates see all the incorrect answers that I have ,all cuz of missing bookmark codes, they would never even breathe normally to take a 1 millisecond break. Still decent tho. I still don't get why you need bookmark codes

This website is so annoying. Throughouyt this review I am too hard not to swear about this torture. Questions don't even work correctly. The videos are absolute poop and don't even help. The onlty way i have been able to answer these questions is by using Google. The book work system is so stupid. I had to redo like half my homework because of it. It has made me extremely aggressive and angry ove the last few days.

Once upon a time also known as early last year I used to be good at maths. Then my school started using this sh@t thing called Sparkx happened and i am now terrified of maths and when i hear it all i see is hell. Thanks for traumatizing my already traumatised head.

Personally, I found this to be a great help as this was introduced to me during year 10. It helped me to understand how to do harder questions with the videos being a big help. However it does have its downsides and you shouldn't have to get 100%. Instead they should give you 3 tries on a question and if not they move you on to the next one etc rather then just giving a new question. Bookwork codes can be annoying but it is a good concept as it tries to persuade students write their homework out but it shouldn't be made as much of a big deal as what it is. There are a few mistakes where you follow the steps in the video excatly and still get question wrong i think should be looked over. Overall I believe this helped get me a grade 4 in my gcses with my teachers also playing a big part.

This app gives you completely inaccurate questions that aren't even CLOSE usually to what you are doing in school. The "help" video might as well be not even there because they don't go over the correct question. Why get rid of hegarty. Should have just added stuff to hegarty and not made this bad app

This sh.t website forces u to get 100 percent on everything even if it makes no sense to u whatsoever.I spend up to 3 hrs on one question just so I don't get in trouble at school and the majority of support video it gives u are f... ing useless. I don't recommend it as the stress it puts me through might be worse than failing maths as a whole.And what's even worse is that I sorta like maths. I conclusion, sparx maths is absolutely ass and needs to be shut down.

it is absolutely horrible, I do not recommend any school this as It useless a waste of money a waste of time the creators of sparx are bad people for making this. please have this removed at once.

This is okay until you realise that half of the videos aren't even related to the question. As well as this, I am getting questions meant for students 2 years ahead of me. They need to improve their system by a lot.

i hate sparx, i don’t get any of the questions and if i want too watch a video about it, it isn’t even the same question in the video so it doesn’t make sense!!

this app has ruined so many hours/days of my life and i hope this app gets hacked or deleted or both. it is absolutely soul crushing to find you have fifty questions each with two minuet long videos you have to watch that most of the time do utterly nothing. this app is awful and the new sparx maths that has replaced it is even worse. you have to write a code down of a peice of paper with your answer because every so often it will just pop up a "bookwork check" that asks you for an answer to a question that you answered about half an hour ago and it sows the code that you were meant to have written down. if you didn't write that code down then it says remember to write down your code and marks that question you didnt write the code down for wrong so you have to redo it. Then instead of letting you get on with the next question it gives you another bookwork check because you failed the last one and it repeats this cycle until you have no more questions that are answer correctly. if you are a school reading this DO NOT GIVE YOUR STUDENTS THIS WEBSITE (unless you hate kids that it).

My teacher is saying we have to do 100 minutes and we don't have a clock to see how much we have done.Also I am 103 and finally finished my Sparx homework for the week only to get it set again tomorrow.I am so worried when my book work check comes up.

the way they explain the answer is so different than got taught in school. In school it is more simpler and easy to get but when i watch these videos they are so different and harder. YOU SHOULD NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE.

bookwork checks are useless and it gives way too much homework every week, 7 sections each with at least 6 questions

The amount of things you have to do is rediculous. Some people dont have paper at home ( school speaking) to write down bookwork checks and that means they have to do way more homework. the videos are off-topic. i watched a video more than 8 times and i got the exact same ( wrong ) answer each time.
