skil.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives skil.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 65.3. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 65.3 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to skil.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning skil.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between skil.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of skil.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of skil.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. skil.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether skil.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether skil.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, skil.com.

Foot that holds the blade on their jigsaw broke after 3rd use. Skil Customer Service would not give=ve me a return authorization # to return to the store. They asked if I could fix it myself. When I told them I wouldn't and shouldn't have to on a new tool, they they started to lead me through the hoops that I have to jump through to get it repaired by a technician. I won't buy another Skil tool again.
Both charger and battery fried on my chainsaw well within the warranty period. Website claims phone number does not work, after many attempts I went into a local store who advertise Skil warranty service, dropped off parts and after two months not hearing anything back, I called and they say I need to file a claim on the website, but there was no link to do that. The rest of the story is too long to keep writing but suffice to say it’s been over six months of trying and I still can’t use the tool. I will never buy anything Skil brand again, ever!
Purchased one of SKILs 40V weed trimmers. I registered and opened my account with them on line. The trimmer began to jam and quit running after a period of time. I still had more than a year left on their "warranty". So I removed the head of the trimmer and discovered that the casing, made of plastic, that surrounded the trimmer connection end, was broken. I called and explained to Customer Service. The man said we do not warrantee that particular component! WoW!! I was stunned. I would have to purchase a new trimmer; but not from SKIL. I would not recommend purchasing anything from SKIL. Their warrantee is a scam--the parts they warrant are only the cheaper screws, nuts, and a few less expensive components. They do not warrant the motor or weed eater tool itself. What a Scam this Chinese outfit is. Beware buyer--Stay away--far away!!!Tom WakefieldCertified purchaser of SKIL Trimmer from Lowes
Bought a battery operated chainsaw which I haven’t used yet. Extend a 3 year to 5 years just by registering it. Good luck with that. I tried for 2 hrs to do that on line. Finally called customer service. Whey wanted a copy of my receipt. They sent me a email with no way to send back a photo of receipt. Then I just gave up. Nice to advertise a5 year warranty that doesn’t exist. No more Skil for me. Too many reputable companies around to fool with these people.
I have a model SC5364-00 electric mower and I'm on the second one which has the same problem the first one had and that is it shuts off while you're using it. I want to mention right away that my lawn is at the most 20'x20 and takes 10 minutes to mow and the lawn mower can't make it halfway through. I called customer service and the lady wanted me to trouble shoot the mower so I told her all there is is to make sure the battery is charged, the button moves, and the handle works what is there to trouble shoot I also told her the company already knows about this problem; in short don't buy a model SC5364 because you could end up with a lemon.
Bought the Skil chain saw with battery pack and charger last summer. When I tried to charge the battery, the charger wouldn’t work. I really needed to use the chain saw so I bought a second charger. The second charger worked and I was able to finish my project. Summer over, I put the saw and charger away. It came time for me to do some more clearing and I get the saw and charger out, plug in the charger and NOTHING! I tried to get the issue resolved and was told I would have to PAY to get information on why it’s not working. I wasted enough money on these, I’m certainly not giving them any more just to find out what the problem is with these chargers. The saw is nice though.
Bought a combination electric weed eater and blower. The blower works fine but the weed eater in 6 months I have had to replace the head twice. Of course not under warranty! But I use it very little and it is made of a very poor quality plastic that just cracks and breaks. So that what you get for trying to be ECO friendly.
Tools are great but warranty service is garbage. I had a battery fail on me after a few months. I called Skil and they said they'd send a new battery out to me. They lied. Nothing ever arrived. I had to go buy another one for $129. Stay away.
Okay well I had the skil lawn mower for about a good 2 months now and everything was working well I love the lawn mower and I had the weed eater as well but my battery ended up catching on fire all by itself on standby luckily I got it out the house just in time before it called the house on fire I call customer service it took about 2 days for them to reach back out to me and I told them what happened with the battery the guy said that they will send me another one out and it will be here on Wednesday or Thursday it didn't even show up I don't know why they lie to they customers but something has to be done I would have gave it a zero star but you got to give it something you cannot just not give it a star I will most definitely not ever buy another skil operated to again if I have a warranty for 3 or 5 years you should honor that and on top of that I had registered all my equipment went to go look to see about my account to check in to see if they added anything they deleted my account horrible horrible experience stay away do not waste your money

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
