Is rue21.com Legit?

Rue 21 has been my favorite clothing store for years! Not only do I love their clothing, but my grand daughters (3) also love Rue21. You guys have put a halt on shipping. It's driving me insane! I want my Rue21 back like it use to be. Please go back to shipping!

I’ve been shopping there for a while, I recently ordered something online that I had seen in store. Online they only had one size option (which wasn’t my size) but in store there was my size. I went into the store to pickup my order and see if I could get the one in my size and the manager told me I could and then tried to charge me a second time for the jacket… if I have the receipt for the other one you are able to return and exchange.

I had never been in this store before, but on Sunday, a friend and myself stopped in. This is the store at 75th and Thomas in Phoenix. We had a question about an item, and we encountered the most delightful associate, Darlissa. She was so nice and engaging and helpful. I would go back to that store just because she's there. My friend and I both spoke to Darlissa's manager to let her know how wonderful she is. The manager was also very nice and personable. We got to the register, and encountered another personable associate. She was the assistant manager, I believe. Nice store, nice people. Keep up the good work!

I started buing from this online store recently, & I absolutely love it! They have a great selection of clothes, jewelry, etc that fits within my budget. I would definitely recommend it. I'm so glad I discovered Rue 21.

This is one of my favorite junior clothing stores with cheap, and good quality clothing! I love to buy pieces of clothing to add to my wardrobe when they offer free shipping (no minimum). I love shopping here online, and in the stores. The workers are sweet in store, and they are always willing to help. In stores, and online there are always great deals too!

Website needs a serious revamp. Their shipping prices are outrageous, and they’re “ship to store” price is not much better. (Seriously, who still charges for direct to store shipping? Crazy.) Definitely not worth it for the quality of clothes they sell. They barely ever restock on popular items.

Waiting for my package was very disappointing. It took two whole weeks. No one contacted me back when I reached out. The package label was made 6 days before they sent the package out. I started to think I wasn’t getting my items. It sucks because the actual store is the reason I decided to shop online

Placed an order for my daughters and received less than half of items. Initially I blamed the courier(horde FedEx)but Rue21 dragged their feet and had to escalate the issue twice. I finally got my refund, but if this company really cares about their customers… consider changing the courier utilized. I will never order online from them again, not worth the headache and the clothes aren’t the best quality.

I ordered my grandson clothes on 9/28 and received one out of 5 items with no updates or explanationI've had to call daily because their tracking will tell you in transit and delivery by end if day then disappearWhen you track it manually its in another state The generic robotic response when you call customer service is it takes 7 to 10 business daysThey can care less or don't care to look into the matterRidiculous, I've bought clothes from other places afterwards and have already received Never again No wonder they're rated d minus with bbb

No one seems to know what they are doing at this store I asked for help to find a easter outfit and the young girl heavyset I think her name was Briana was trying to help but then walked away and helped another customer into fitting room left me hanging. The dress i picked out I winded up putting it back then I left.

Rue21 is like my second home . I’m forever on their website shopping for my son and myself. Their prices are excellent and their clothing are good quality material. I never had any issues with this company thus far. I always recommend them to people who admire an article of clothing I bought from them . I can buy soo much things and will still have more to spend with the prices they have. I think I shop on the website probably about five times for the month or maybe more. It has become addicting 😂( no I don’t have a problem)

Rue 21 in Taunton Ma. This store had multiple staff members in the store however they were chatting with friends and co workers in the doorways . Myself and another customer stood at the register waiting for the girl to return to the register but she remained chatting . I returned the merchandise and excused myself as I walked in between them yo exit.

I had just approved for the Rue21 rewards credit card I was super excited to be able to use it for online shopping. Come to find out they turned off home delivery I was very disappointed I would have never applied for it if I had known they weren’t gonna offer that anymore.

The manager at the store location in Auburn,Wa ( The Outlet Collection) watched my daughter shop the whole time in the store, not once did he or the sale associates offer to help find what she was looking for like they did others in the store. He made a shopping experience out to be the worst day. My daughter felt targeted because of the color of her skin, and felt like she didn't belong in the store. When she moved to a different part of the store he did too. They need better customer service/cultural awareness training. Will never shop at that store again. That manager definitely doesn't belong in retail.

DO NOT TRUST Rue21 to send what you ordered! If they screw up your order, they provide ZERO customer service. Rue21 scammed me out of my money, and never shipped product I ordered. Instead, they sent a pack of HUGE Dble-D bras (super ugly plaid ones) The customer service phone number on my $292.72 receipt offering customer service has a recording stating that they NO LONGER PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICER by phone! STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT THAT FOR WHICH YOU HAVE PAID FOR!

A pair of sweatpants I ordered from them ripped within a week.I also tried to return another item, WITH the original packing slip as they tell you to do, and never received a refund. I contacted them and they said that without a tracking number they can't help me. Really? You have no way of tracking returns in your system? Horrible customer service.

Customer Service Sucks. Bought items for my teenage daughter and never received them. Rue21’s customer service had a general response ready which essentially said kick rocks. I know that we are in Covid times, and people are on edge more than they usually are but to know that this place can so easily say FU to a customer is disheartening. Trust, believe, and depend on me letting the world know about this Rue21. Bad move. I really hope that people see my sincerity in this and stay away from ordering online from you. Your company sucks.

I absolutely love Rue 21 with all my heart. However, I feel like they need an app since the website is pretty slow and doesn't let you save clothing. Other than that, it's amazing !! All my orders came so fast, and the plus size section is lovely.

Very satisfied. Items are like described and very nice. They fit perfectly on me. And prices are unbeatable. I purchased different sweaters, sweatpants and tops and jeans and I have to say that the quality is good.

this is my favorite store!! i bought 2 pair of ripped jeans from them in 8th grade and im a high school junior now and i can still fit both of them i also bought shoes one pair i recently ordered they r the faux fur band pool slides in black size 6. they are so freaking comfy and cute! you can wear them with anything. their clothes n shoes definitely fit true to size i got a medium in all my dresses and i got a lot of room in them and my shoes i got a 6 in both of my shoes i bought from them and i have no feet problems they aren't too small and they aren't too tight. the shipping is a week wait but still all of their clothes are worth it!! whoever don't like rue21 y'all r cray crayyy!!

“No package”

Ordered 6/6/24 and website states it was delivered 7/9/24 at 2AM in the morning. I waited over a month for this ordered and never got it delivered to my place when it says it did. “Wth”

So I order about 50 dollars worth of clothes maybe 2 weeks ago. I got no email confirmation saying it's delivered but I was told through the website that it was. Then when I call the number it no longer exist. I can't track it because the tracking site DOES NOT WORK. Is it even possible to get a refund or should I wait it out to see if maybe all my things will show up. Honestly I JUST WANT ALL MY ITEMS Products used:I got nothing so I couldn’t even use anything

“My Spring Outfits are Coming Together!”

So excited to order a package from rue21 since their prices are so good and they have some of the latest trends for their products. The colored pants I got were only $20 which is amazing, the fit and the quality were great too! I got so many new pieces for spring and so excited to wear them!

“The clothes are good shipping carrier not so good”

I ordered some shorts from rue 21 and never received them when I called the customer service number for rue 21 it said that they dont take calls that's an issue that needs fixed I probably wont be ordering from them again unless they can make sure your package will get to you

“Employees are unprofessional”

The outlet store on International Drive in Orlando is run by filthy trash. One guy reeked so badly that you could smell him from 6 feet away. I had to leave because his stench got into my mask. The very overweight female employees have their guts hanging out of their clothes with their stretch marks and body hair showing. One underage employee didn't have enough shirt on to totally cover her bra (also had her fat gut showing). The employees at the Rue21 in my city don't dress like this. “Ridiculous”

I placed an online order on October 21 and it has been processing for two weeks now. I have contacted customer service several times and have heard nothing but generic, copy and paste responses as to why processing was taking so long. Just today they "partially sent" my order even though I was told that all of my items were accounted for and ready to ship. To make matters worse I was charged more than the original total at checkout even though processing took over two weeks and three of my items will be "shipped at a later date." Looks like I'll have to file a dispute with my bank if my money is not returned. This is ridiculous and I will never shop at Rue21 again. Worst shipping experience I've ever had.

“Nonexistant Customer Service”

I ordered some clothing on 2/9. It is now 2/14 and they haven't even shipped yet. Called to check on my order and they told me there is a 2-4 day processing time before shipping. They apparently didn't get past 1st grade math because it's been 5 days and nothing. Never ordering from here again.

“Horrible - Do NOT buy from them online!”

Wish I'd have read some of these reviews before purchasing online - or attempting to. They shipped me someone else's $20.00 crap order after I'd spent $140. Shipped wrong items back and a week later still have not received a refund or been contacted as I was told I would be after the items were returned. Terrible customer service - can't understand any of the representatives I've spoken to and then get treated rudely because THEY speak terrible English - but that's what you get when you outsource your service to another country. Don't buy from these jokers.

The other reviews are being pretty unreasonable. Yes the shipping time is much more delayed than you would usually assume, but you get great quality clothing and there's always things in the sale part of the website. It's affordable and I love online shopping there. I know I can trust my stuff will be here, even though it may be a bit late, and my money will have been well spent.

“No help”

I placed an order and spent a significant amount of money. My order said it was delivered by the post office who has access to my mailbox but I never received it. I called and emailed customer service and both of them pretty much were like "oh well" so they got my money. I didn't have anything but an unpleasant experience. This is my first and last time shopping with them. Anytime I've ever purchased from ANYWHERE if the package was stolen or missing I was always sent a replacement order. Rue 21 absolutely will not and I don't like that. They're a business and their parcels should be insured

“Can't get anyone to help me”

I ordered a gift card that never arrived and when I call customer service, nobody knows what to do about it and nobody will refund my money. Not to mention you have to wait on hold with the same classical piano song on repeat for almost an hour before they answer.

“Orders online ship to store”

OMG! The worst service you could possibly get. First from the store associates who are children and have no customer service interpersonal skills of what so ever! Next from the corporate headquarter managers, who could care less about you or your order since they obviously are making way to much money and don't need new ones. I will not be ordering from this retailer again. And I would recommend getting your merchandise from somewhere else where your treated with respect and valued as a customer..

“WORST SERVICE EVER”

I ordered about $50 worth of clothes. Then I received an email that my order has been shipped back the the store for no apparent reason after I waited 3 weeks for my package. Then didn't receive a refund or my package. I've emailed them millions of times and all they say is I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The customer service hotline doesn't even work. I do not recommend shopping online at Rue 21.

“What's with the sizing?”

Usually, i can say a eight or nine fits me pretty well, i'm 5'8 and 145 pounds, so definitely not a plus size. But if I go to Rue21 to find cute pants that fit? I CAN'T. How do they expect anyone to buy jeans if their size 18 fit the exact same as the sixes or the fives? Now don't get me wrong they usually do a good job on shirts and the rest, but it seems like all their pants are meant for short, skinny girls. And if you're already self conscious about your body, it's just not a good place to shop.

“Disappointed!”

I ordered 2 sweaters online and I was happy at first because I only paid $16+ plus after tax and additional 25% off plus free shipping. After two days, I checked my credit account and found out that they charged me $23+. I called the customer service about it but they cant do anything to return back the difference because the order was already final! What a disappointment! I will never order in this store again. They are trying to fool customers just to sell their items! Poor customer service!

“Still processing!”

Placed my order oct. 2. My order is still processing. I've called customer service 3 times in regards to this and they can't even give me possible date of when my items will be shipped. This store is all about false advertisement! About 6 months ago I tried to place an order online that stated "additional 50% off clearance" in reality it was up to 50% off in general. Since the discount didn't reflect at check out, I didn't place the order. Called customer service and explained that they needed to remove that ad, cause it was false advertisement. And as far as my current situation, advertising shipment in 4-7 business days is also false advertisement. This company really needs to honor what it advertises. I understand circumstances change, but this has been going on for over a month (according to previous reviews). By now there should have been a warning of some sort posted on the website to alert potential buyers. You would lose a lot less business!

“Poor customer service”

Very poor customer service poor inadequate training for representatives who handle customers my 10 yr old granddaughter ordered ear buds card got charged and they failed a child who doesn't have parents by telling me I have to repay again after I got charged for them what kind of a company does this! I will always give you bad ratings and never shop there again in my life! Shame Shame on you Rue 21

“They suck! Don't buy! Customer service is awful!”

I would like to say as a consumer you should get what you pay for... I paid 18$ for two business day shipping. I'm receiving it 7 days later! Explain that? Called and complained... ups was closed two days. Ok. Plus two weekend days... so... That's 4 days lost. On 6 day where is my delivery? I'm just saying this was not clear when I placed the order. Make your ordering process more clear! You are a consumer fraud!

“Shoes runs big!”

I bought 5 pairs of booties I'm size 6.5 but since they don't carry my size only small medium and large. I ordered small (6/7) and it's most like 7 It looks big on my feet. And for those that made an order YES it takes so long to arrive mine took like 2 weeks.

“Online ordering”

DON'T DO IT! Im only leaving a one star because it will not allow anything less. I ordered something online, they sent 2 packages, with the same tracking number, only one was mine. The one which was not mine, was delivered. The other left at post office. I paid to get it out, $10, only because my daughter needed it for her dance solo. They tell me they can't refund me and that it is my problem. Their customer service sucks, they don't want to help... and barely understand you and you can barely understand them over the phone. Dont waste your time or risk money with the company.

“The boots were made cheaply”

It was back to school shopping time and there was nothing more I wanted than a pair of boots that at least symbolized doc martens. I went there and bought these exact boots (refer to photo) they were barely worn and somehow the materials on the toes were starting to peel off, and not to mention the bottom yellow part came half way off when I was taking them off. I definitely do NOT recommend buying the boots, Doc Martens are worth the investment. Tip for consumers:Do not buy the boots! Def not worth it. Products used:Doc Martens Service Value Quality

“Horrible customer Service”

I really wish I read reviews before purchasing, better yet I should have just went to Victoria Secret for my under clothes. I never received my package I call customer care and say hey I don't need a refund I would just like those items shipped out to me. Rep says they don't do that ok so I'll take a refund she states for me to call back in 10 days and they still can't guarantee a refund. I tried to call their corporate office no answer. I will be all over their social media until my situation is resolved!

“Overcharged”

I placed an order on rue 21 and they took it out of my account 3 different times I called the company and they didn't even act like they wanted to help me! I am completely pissed off about this and will be done as an online customer! They need to get there $#*! together!

This site is absolute garbage! Never order from here. I ordered many items. Took almost 4 days just to get a tracking number. Then, I'm told that one of the items is out of stock after having already paid for it. Had to email and call customer service just to get a refund... which I was told could take up to 30 days. Then, two days later... the day before my package is supposed to arrive, I get an email that everything is being returned (I didn't return $#*!) so once again, I had to call customer service and be on hold for 15 minutes, just to be told that they have no clue what happened. So now, I have to wait until tomorrow and hope it gets delivered and if not, I have to call back AGAIN and start the process of trying to get a refund. I am pissed. This website is an absolute scam. I will never order from this site again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know the same thing.

“Not a Fan”

The deals and sales on Rue21.com are amazing! There's just one problem... Their sale items are constantly out of stock and they do not regularly update their web page. On three occasions--all back to back-I spent several hours picking out items, adding them to my cart, deleting items, comparing items--until I had exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted. All the items were said to be in stock so I went ahead and placed the order. A few days later an email notification arrives in my inbox alerting me that some of the items were out of stock. They promised to ship the items that were available and refund the remaining amount--which they did. The infuriating part of the whole ordeal is I ordered at least 15+ items all three times and only two, one or no items were available! It was a complete waste of my time and a hassle I decided I should forgo. I have not and will not order from this site again. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
