Absolutely zero phone customer service or livecat customer service. They used to be really good now they suck. When you call corporate headquarters they say they did away with it to keep prices down. We'll start using PartsGeek or Carid. They have no place to leave a review on their website because they don't care. That's what happens when a family owned business gets too big for themselves.
This company sucks! We ordered parts end of September returned them 2 weeks later and they only gave us a partial refund. They still owe us another 200 dollars. Upon trying to reach customer service they said their warehouse has no evidence of extra parts being sent and refused the he refund even though we had the return tracking and everything. Also i even emailed 4 executives from that company and not one responded. I even went thru the BBB to file a complaint and they kept saying the same thing and they ended up closing out the case with no resolution and im out 200 dollars.
Ordered parts for my Corvette on Friday evening and they were delivered here in the uk on Monday, a fantastic service, so easy to use and fantastic price’s ….. Brilliant !

Ordered a alternator using their search tools for my vehicle. When I received it I found that it didn't fit. Contacted them to return the item expecting a full refund but they only refunded me the cost of the item not the shipping charges. Horrible customer service.

The first one did not work, OK things happen, now the second one does not work...Obviously they have the wrong part number, I thought it was funny that it says it is also compatible with a Ram Truck. Shipping was VERY late. There is zero customer service to report a complaint to only AI responses. It would have been nice to give ROCKAUTO the opportunity to respond before writing a review. They lost my package at some point. Refused to give me my refund. When I complained to my credit card company, they agreed to reimburse me if I cancelled the dispute, which I then did. Rock auto delivered parts on time. The correct part numbers and for a good price. BUT the parts where both wrong from the manufacture and or damaged right out of the box (not due to and mishandling during shipping either.) I ordered four Raybestos remanufactured calipers. Two front and two rear. The rear came with the wrong slide bolts. The mounting bracket for the front driver had threads completely stripped! That added a week to my down time fixing this car while I allocated a thread repair tool kit to remedy this. Nothing about sending stuff back to Rock Auto is easy or user friendly. I know this as I have bought a lot from them in the past. But I got burned this time-and bad. NO one is going to reimburse me for my time and labor. Certainly not this company or the parts supplier. While I will give them consideration for simpler (less critical) parts purchasing in the future, I WILL NOT put my trust in them for quality products that I need right the 1st time.

Canadian Customers Be aware!!!If you choose an item ,buy it and within 2-3 min decide to cancel the purchase, it says item is already shipped and you’ll receive it!!!!! Also within the past year they have two shipping costs which varies depending on the purchased item. I tried different options and even if you buy 3 items the website will charge you with 2 different shipping fees to gain more benefit from customer. I ordered a remanufactured complete throttle body with iac and tps.After installing it vehicle developed an idle issue. Spend hrs looking for other reasons of problem thinking that part was good and at the end I decided to take iac of and inspect it. It had carbon build up and seals were dry roted!!! How is this reman????Put new iac on 80$ and car is good. Went to there website to file complaint and they have the option to get refunded for fixing defective part, so I thought great atleast they will refund the 80$ for the part.After going through all the bs questions at the end they just ask for tracking number for return!!! Im in the UK, ordered saturday and arrived thursday, way cheaper prices than UK.I ordered some ignition coils and spark plugs.
Rockauto next day delivery is a scam. They charge you way too much but you don’t get your part the next day. I ordered parts on Thursday and paid way expensive price for Friday delivery. The monday delivery price was way cheaper. Today is Saturday I still didn’t get the parts and when I track it they are saying it will be delivered on Monday. So if you were going to deliver it on Monday why did you charge me for Friday delivery price ???
There is no customer support offered by this business.So if anything at all is wrong with your order, you are on your own. The CV axle I have ordered was missing a retaining ring. Now I am spending countless hours trying to find the specs and the supplier of that ring. There is no way to reach RockAuto. It's hit or miss vendor.

“Rusty intake valves and NO customer service”

Ordered 8 GM intake valves #******* for a SBC. All were rusted. I asked that they inspect the replacements. They would not do this or replace the parts. Just refund. Rockauto doesn't take accountability for any of their wrong doing. Ordered $500 worth of parts, they split the shipment into 5 different packages. I paid $150 for expedited 2 day shipping. I received 4 out of the 5 packages by the expected date because Rockauto didn't provide UPS the package in a timely manner so I received the last package on a Monday afternoon. Now 3 days after it should've been. Rockauto is the worst experience I've ever had to deal with. Their "customer service" sucks more than my ex girlfriend, and that's saying something. "Customer service" keeps sending me the same email from different people over and over again. No resolution will probably ever come of this. Rockauto, more like rock bottom! “I should have listened”

It's hard for me to convey how much in this moment I deplore this company. Along with their convoluted return policy, having to print out a return label in today's day and age where a lot of people don't have printers and the fact that they don't have any phone number to call means I never ever ever going to order from this horrible company again. It's disgusting how they separate themselves and leave the customer to fend for themselves after the purchase. You don't want to hire any customer service reps because you don't want to spend the money on it. From now on I go elsewhere and I'll keep this stupid package that I don't need. They offered next day delivery.and I paid the 15.99$ for that service. That was a Thursday. Did not get part till Monday. They also charged me the 6.99$ standard shipping.amd when a person trys to explain the problem. This company/website runs in circles. I ordered some brake pads and they costed me $21.30... Rock Auto sent the wrong pads so I sent them back... I had to pay for a return label to be able to send the product back... “Rock Auto customer service is Rock Bottom”

In my experience, Rock Auto is Rock Bottom. I recently ordered three parts from Rock Auto: a starter motor, an intake manifold gasket, and a throttle body gasket. One of the parts Rock Auto sent was the correct part; two were not. They sent the wrong starter motor and the wrong intake manifold gasket. I know I ordered the right parts because I kept a PDF copy of my Rock Auto shopping cart. I didn't discover the problem until I exposed the starter motor of an old Acura RSX by removing the throttle body and intake manifold. I tried to contact Rock Auto by phone. They have no telephone customer support. Via email, I showed them that this was a Rock Auto error, attaching the PDF of my shopping cart and photos of the old starter motor and the wrong starter motor they had sent me. I explained that I wanted to get the correct part overnighted to me so I could complete the repair while the car was disassembled, and asked for a return phone call. Rock Auto could not care less. Via email they told me to arrange a return on their website and a replacement part would be sent via ground shipment, i.e. Take several days. I had to get the car running again. I could not replace the starter motor, given the wrong parts, so I reassembled the car with the old starter motor. They send you parts with HORRIBLE build quality and then they break within a month or two of being put on and they tell you that you have to buy another part and they will refund you the money for the bad part. I wouldnt ever buy another part from these people, with having to buy two of them its just cheaper to go to autozone and get a good quality part that you wont have to replace again in a couple months and then IF in the rare case something is wrong they are there to switch the parts out. “Poor customer service and Bait-n-Switch shipping!”

Need a part overnight and select the $21.99 for my A/C part to be delivered on Fri Oct 25th. My other option was wait until Mon Oct 28th for $10.99. Since I have Saturday's off and it is still 90 degrees in Texas I opted to pony up for the overnight shipping. I get the update from Rock Auto stating my part will arrive on Mon the 28th. Emailed customer service 2 times before I got a response asking them only for a partial refund of shipping of $11. They sad I will not get the refund as it is arriving in the appropriate time and I should look more carefully at the delivery options before purchasing. I responded that I did look at the option and based on what I previously stated above I did not receive my part as stated and paid for. Only asking for an $11 credit for shipping. Their response was that Rock Auto is not responsible for Fed-ex delivery delays. I stated there was not delay by Fed-ex rather Rock Auto's failure to ship my part on time based on their website. Asked a 3rd time for the partial refund of $11 shipping. Then no further communication from Rock Auto. Now my thought is that they went through a lot of trouble to lose a customer over $11. “Scammers”

I wish I could tell you ZERO stars. They have my part to at has been returned that came in a brown box. Since the brown box was damaged during shipping they did not provide a refund. The part is 100% intact and has zero damage and never used. They are a company geared to steal and cheat the customer. The part was marked as one color but came to me in a standard black. Now they are refusing to refund the price paid due to the box having some damage. They will cheat you versus provide standard customer service. AVOID Them! There are better options. Only place I know that charges you shipping to return caliper cores and does nothing for you when you pay on their own site for overnight shipping of $121 and some of the parts don't show up for a few days. No telephone or chat for support, only email and they say nothing to do with shipping is their fault. Amazon is better or your local auto parts store, than rock auto. Don't use them! Bought a radiator from RA, delivered by FedEx with one end of the box ripped open with parts missing. Driver dropped it off in front of our garage, instead of our covered front porch for every thief to see and ran like a scared rabbit. NO KNOCK as he knew we would refuse the box. Contacted Rock Auto online within 10 minutes. THEY DO NOT TAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE CALLS OVER THE PHONE ACORDING TO THEIR ANSWERING SYSTEM. Waited three days for and answer and never received one. Worst customer service ever paid $75 for expedited shipping was supposed to all be delivered by Tuesday and here we are Thursday afternoon and still no parts from rock auto very disappointed use to love rock auto what a $#*! hole and like I said no customer service at all go f**k yourself rock auto you suck $#*!. “Lying and chiting”

I use to buy from them in a past. It was ok. But now they converted to coming criminals. They send wrong part and after i shipped back in original package, using original packaging materials in about week after receiving returned part thy denied refund claiming shipping damage. Pictures they send me show no damage, but connector which was wrong and was reason for return is broken. It appears that their "inspection" process include a deliberately braking part and accuse customer so they will not issue refund. They are not responsible for shipping wrong part or shipping damage of returned part. They are responsible for lying, cheating and scamming customers. No customer service to speak about. “Missing brake pads. All I got was an empty box”

I ordered a set of brake pads and rotors. This happened and I never opened the box until today. There were 2 rotors and a box for the brake pads but the box was empty. Tried to reach out to RockAuto but their message it I'm too late the 30 day window to complain is closed. Bad on me for now opening the package for a few weeks. I was past the 30 day mark so they get away with ripping me off. Whoever packed the shipment is not too bright as box of brake pads should weigh a few pounds. Maybe they took the pads for themselves? $58.80 worth of pads. Tip for consumers:Everything with RockAuto is automated. I can find anyone to call. “First time buyer”

I was skeptical at first reading all the bad reviews … but I ordered 2 complete struts and a new mirror assembly for my 2012 Dodge Charger. They are now installed all parts were accounted for. Only flaw I do have is paying extra for next day shipping at 10 am on Friday and it didn't come until Monday. I thought I would get it on Saturday. But I'm over all satisfied saved me a a couple hundred dollars or so. So satisfied I created an account so I will be a returning customer Tip for consumers:U just have to read the part number and description of part .. example : if it’s paint to match if it’s left or right and brand and if it says only 1 available and u need 2 u will have to keep scrolling for another brand with available parts .. Products used:I used Monroe parts for complete struts and doorman mirror.. same exact brand auto zone had for me .. they wanted 178 a peice for struts.. I got them both same brand for the same price and the mirror they wanted 168 and It was 88 115 out the door Shipping

“I like rockauto but you need to learn the tricks”

I like the fact that the carry many different manufacturers of the same part. Rocks descriptions are good making it easier to get the correct part. Whats really cool is they offer kits, for ex. They offer a brake kit that has 2 rotors, pads at a reduced price. The cons are: if you order a few different parts, they come from different places and each place adds shipping. Tricks, you can get an oil filter for $2.5, but 4 bucks to ship, so order 4 at a time, this works well for items that are small and lite.

“Parts arrived late and no cust serv”

I ordered some parts last Friday and I paid for expedited shipping to receive all by Wednesday. The parts came from different places and shipping companies and as now Thursday 1:33 pm I am still waiting for some parts. They should refund at least a percent of the shipping as wasn't arrived on time like they said in the payment process and I lost my appointment that was for today at 9am. They have no customer service and when you select the parts to let them know that arrived late, they have an automatic response to keep the parts for later ‍‍no other option to ask for customer service representative or get a partial refund. 4/5 stars.     Rock Auto has very poor customer service. They do not answer telephone calls and refuse to answer questions related to part or order issues. They refuse to answer emails after they are shown to be wrong. I used their part catalog and entered my exact full vehicle information, ordered the part their website said to order, and when it didn\'t fit and was wrong, they told me a different part number to order and that the one their website suggested was wrong. Yet, they would not issue me a full refund.
