robinhood.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives robinhood.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 87.2. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 87.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to robinhood.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning robinhood.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between robinhood.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of robinhood.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of robinhood.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. robinhood.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether robinhood.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether robinhood.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, robinhood.com.

Worst investment company ever! Someone hacked my account and I cannot get in. And I’ve been emailing them for over a month to change my information. I hope this company gets dissolved and banned. Definitely operates as scam. Just close my account like I’ve begging please. I never begged any harder to not be affiliated with a dirty ass company like this before.
Horrible. Holding my money keeps asking me to verify my bank accounts and identity over and over. I’ve given them everything they ask for and the review time keeps extending. The people that call me are not helpful and hang up on me every time. ScamRyan Sechser
"I've been using Robinhood for a few months now, and overall, I'm pleased with the experience. The app is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and start investing right away. I love the simplicity of the interface and the lack of clutter. The commission-free trades are a huge plus, and the ability to invest small amounts of money without any minimum balance requirements is great for beginners or those who want to dip their toes into investing.
they are fraud. dont ever try there app . i was in option trade all of sudden im not able to lo in. you cant contact them via phone or text, when emailed them they asked me for my identification thru their link but that link doesn't work. basically my money stuck with them im just not able access my account. im going take them to court now
I do wish there were more advanced features and research tools available. The app can feel a bit bare-bones at times, and I find myself having to switch to other platforms to get the information I need.Despite this, Robinhood has been a great introduction to investing for me, and I appreciate the ease and accessibility it provides. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get started with investing, but more experienced investors may find it lacking.
I have been trying to access my account for more than 3 weeks. The only device I has ever used when accessing my account is my cellphone. Now suddenly, I can't access my account and RobinHood keeps sending a code to "My other device ", which I don't have. I have contacted them at least 6 times about that issue. They have had my fill out a name change form 2 times, and refused to call me. I have even requested that they close my account, which they refuse to allow. As far as I'm concerned, RobinHood is no better than the people who scam .
Robinhood is the most disorganized company. I have ever dealt with. Robinhood has locked me out of my funds about a week ago. I've emailed Robinhood I've on line chatted. And no action I've told numerous time they would call me. Yes they called me and each time I was put on hold. When they called me. Never have I had this type of service from any company. Even Scammers have better customer service.
Undeniable the worse investment bank around. Don’t deal with them if you expect any urgency or customer service. Bad
I had an account with them but no longer have access to the email on the account. It’s now a full week that I have been attempting to rectify this situation. I continue to call and the customer service agents are not American and constantly try to talk over you. On multiple occasions they state that my issues is being escalated to a manger and transaction MST take place via email and I ve yet to receive a resolution
Check the website displayed on my profile picture to get refunded.
I tried to log into my account, and they are requesting something similar to the government - MEID - ID photos and facial recognition. THREE times I had to try. It's AI - I wonder if they are selling our information to make up for the company downturn after COVID-19; when people went back to work. They want me to log in with my bank account. So suspicious. My customer rep was Chinese with a thick accent - a first for customer service.
I am so got help out from the scam through the profile name for help of your funds back
Unethical, incompetent. Hard to tell if they are extremely incompetent and a little evil, or extremely evil and a little incompetent. However, those are definitely the only options.
They have you jump from online chat to phone to email to wait for a phone call. I had someone trying to get into my account and would not take the matter seriously. Been waiting for a call for hours and i even tried calling back but told me to wait for an email. Ridiculous
Robinhood sold my stock at a loss without my permission. On March 12th of this year I was notified that my stocks and crypto sale request was completed. Which I never made. I repeatedly tried to contact them to find out what was going on. Only to get the same generic responses via email. I could never get an answer. They finally deactivated my account. When I asked about my remaining funds. I was told there wasn’t anything to return. Thankfully I had a screen shot of my balance. After filling a complaint with the SEC and three and half months of a complete nightmare of arguing with the online support (never could get a live phone call) they finally agreed to return what was left of my money. My observation is if they do what they did with my account to a very small percentage of there victims and the victims just give up getting their money back. They could possibly bank millions. Very shady outfit!! Never invest with this company!!!
Absolutely the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. They continue to ask for information not relevant to my account, and when I send emails to this, apparently no one reads them. My money has been locked up since January. At this point I would just rather an attorney speak on my behalf
really bad service.. i had open a account and back out. the next day because bank of america wasnt giving me a 6 number code so i tried to open it againg and they stated to ask for documen for the fir 3 day bank , id, and even pics of my self that was creepy so i ask for a mng and the fist two reps refuse to tranfer my call and i could understand the half of the time there all from middle east i hope they dont sell my info i told them to forget it so yeah i was not happy and i was not even a full time invester amagine 1 star for them and i wont be reffering them i told my buddy about it his getting out and going to fedelity investment o and the mng that did help me in the end roger yeah mr middle east could halp me
This company should be called sherif of Nottingham because it’s the rich stealing from the poor. The moment they prohibited the buying of GameStop a few years ago, was a red flag to me, and I moved over all my stocks to fidelity. I am glad I did, because the stories are endless. How come these people are still in business? Closing accounts and then keeping peoples money is pure theft. Oh, you accepted the terms and conditions? Yeah, that justifies it. Come on. This is what Amazon does too. Dictatorship and legal theft. Do NOT put a single dollar in this criminal company’s website. Your funds are NOT safe. They own them. Don’t believe me? How about read some of the other reviews? Or wait, go on Reddit and see how many people have been robbed of tens of thousands of $$$…..“Robinhood restricted my account and won’t return the funds in it.” Look that up.
i have had it enough on this platform, so unproffessional, wont let me access my account and also very bad support system with no good customer relation at all, had to just loose hope on it cause my funz is not even possible to get out now, i was so pleased that i got a better treatment at to,mver. it was worth te risk.
My wife has not been able to get into her account in over two weeks. She signs in with her user name and password and then is told enter the number texted to her phone but never receives a text. She asked me to help yesterday. To me it seems to just be a problem with her phone number for verification. I called the one phone number for Robinhood only to listen to a recording saying you have to sign into your account to get Help Support. She cannot sign in so I created an account for myself so I could use their Help Support. Between yesterday and today I have talked or chatted with 9 agents. Each said they understood the problem and could help me. They did not understand the problem a continued to put me back into the queue with no results . Yesterday on my final agent call I asked for a manager the agent told me they would email their manager and he would get back to me. No he did not. Today on my 4th rep. I thought I was finally getting somewhere. After 40 minutes on the chat she took my wife's information reviewed her account and said someone would call back my wife on her phone number which I gave her. The chat session ended and we waited only to find no call back. I will go into Help Support again 7/17/24 and ask immediately for a manager to see if they can help. I am a former director of call centers and our goal was to train and give our reps the power to resolve the problem with one call. It appears Robinhood does not train the reps to do this and is happy with them putting customers back into the queue. So at a good call center my current 9 chats and call backs would have only been 1. date of experience 7/15, 7/16 and I will update this issue on 7/17.

“I got my money back when I escalated to briskclaim com”

Unfortunately I was scammed on this platform and I felt all hope was lost but then I found out about an agency that help investigate crypto scams and they made sure I was refunded every penny

“Be aware of this company, losing money due to lack of timely execution”

I put in multiple orders but they weren't executed when hit the stop or limit. Don't use this app. I should of made 20,000 in 3 days. The limit order price was hit and was not executed by Robinhood. It would of almost doubled my investment with Carvana stocks at 7.20 and now almost 12,3 days later and crypto set at.073 to not sell, I'm very disappointed in this company.

“Weird platform”

Alleged Manager started to put extreme pressure on me to invest more. I asked to with draw and they ignored me, I trust.Org intervened and got my funds back.

“Scam”

They never let us withdraw, and they will never reply to there email or calls, I have no choice but to involve an expert recovery company Stellar-trace.com and in no time they got my funds back for me and i could get all my funds that was scammed, You can google them to check them out. Service Value Quality

“Bad Service, Not user friendly”

I've been with Robinhood for almost 4 years. One problem that's been there since day 1 is customer service. If I have a problem with my TD account there's a phone number to call and a branch right next to my house. Now I'm not saying physical locations should be open, but no phone number even just an email to keep you waiting. I've have fraud occur a long time back and the panic and anxiety is just through the roof waiting for days on end for a simple response for someone to tell you "I'm sorry about that we will look into it, till the meantime request a new card" and never hear a word back. This brokerage could use a bit more help. Tip for consumers:Use this as a tool to learn, do not use it long term. And never ever use cash management. Service Value Quality

“What they're doing is ILLEGAL”

Don't use this stock trading app. I bought 30 shares of nokia and then they blocked the ability for anyone to buy them so the stocks nose dived and $#*!ed me over. Can't wait to be apart of their lawsuit $#*!ing scumbags Tip for consumers:DONT Products used:NOKIA Service Value Quality

“Dishonest and Untrustworthy.”

Robinhood is involved in deceptive practices involving its instant transfers. Even after saying, you can do instant transfers, they red flag you after the fact and freeze up your whole account. Even with 100% successful deposits and transactions. They still do this to their customers. The customer service representatives tell you you will get a call back from the supervisor, another lie they like to tell when instead you will receive an email. Robin Hood, as a company, you should be ashamed of yourselves the way you treat your customers, laughing at your customers, concerns and all-around, disrespectful, dishonest behavior. This company should not be allowed to do business in America. Products used:Stocks, Crypto, ETF’s Service Value Quality

“Stay away”

For the love of your mental health, kindly stay away from this company. They'll make very enticing offer and when you make deposits, withdrawal becomes impossible. There's no reliable customer service, so contacting them is impossible. Took my money and almost drove me mad! But since it was all my savings, I couldn't give up and let them win Kept looking for means to recover till I got recommendations from a lady on Quora to contact Phoenix Souls I was skeptical at first but had no choice. They were able to recover my money back Surprisingly! Best day of my life! You can look the website up at Phoenixsouls dot com for help Good luck Tip for consumers:Be careful who you invest with. Service Value Quality

“Never Ever”

My children pushed me towards this company... I bought a few things... spent a few dollars... but don't ask me what or how well it has done because while deleting my browser history I managed to get signed out of my Robinhood account and they will not let me back in... they say the only way for me to gain access for my account is via a cell phone so they can send me a code... they are not the only account that uses this form of verification but they are the only one who does not know anything about email or land lines... not everyone has a cell phone... apparently this is the only way they know how to send a code so I am out my money and my purchases... yet they managed to email at least three times a week with ads for upgrades and to let me know I can view my account statements or to verify my tax info... none of which apply to me since I cant get into my account without a cell phone. Tip for consumers:save your money and go with a better known company Service Value Quality

“Dishonest horrible broker - use Fidelity or other instead”

This app is horrible. Says no fee but they make extra by skimming profits on your trades. They randomly limit trading of certain stocks, without warning, if their hedge fund buddies are shorting it. Does not care about you, the retail investor. Motto is a lie. I used them for years and will be moving all my money to other brokers. Tip for consumers:Do not use. They will rob you blind. Products used:trading app, options and stocks Service Value Quality

“I don't trust Robinhood, stay away”

I invested some money back in September, thankfully not too much. Now I am locked out of my account. I believe it was hacked. They are asking me for documentation/proof of who I am that I need to send them. I then looked up reviews and found this has happened to many people using Robinhood. It's frustrating because you can't talk to someone from customer support, it's all via email.

“3 months and they still will not give me back MY MONEY”

Several months ago I was looking for an alternative type of bank where I could have my direct deposits made and possibly make a little extra on the side I came across Robinhood.com at first it all was well but then after one small security issue I have been locked out of my account they are holding over $1000. 00 of my money leaving me stranded out of state sleeping in my car and not even a phone number to call and get any assistance. Its been 3 months hundreds of e-mails later and still nothing from them willing to help return my money to me Tip for consumers:the fact that they have no customer service Products used:banking Service Value Quality

“Crap”

The worst platform and company I have ever seen with this important thing which is investing and money they should at least have a customer service phone number to call but this robinhood never even answer your email or message, and you can't get a prove quicker they saying your application take up to 5 days to be approved now it's 6 days and no answer, also they want you to transfer funds through access your online banking from their platform? What a joke! Stay a way there are tons of platforms for investment all over.

“Worst technology on the globe.”

I am certain there will be a major class action lawsuit in which this company will tank due to its delays in trading and significant glitches, not to mention obvious branches that are occurring that they cannot even keep up with. Trust me when I tell you to run like you're on fire and save your money.

“Worst trading co ever”

Not interested to settle your sell but will take your money in seconds. Make so many millions but cannot settle a few dollars that's what the super rich is sucking hard working peoples money that's how they become rich. I am moving on really bad co don't open account with them.

“Account restrictions & customer service( Extremely worst customer service ever)”

Every business success is their customer service management. They have none. They have no one to talk to, nowhere to escalate an issue to. They restricted my account because the bank said payment was reverse. Okay, I told them charge your fees let's move on. But they've insisted on wasting my time for several weeks. Asking for a bank statement that was not yet available. Once I finally submitted all the documents they required. They still came up with some bad faith customer service. I really see them losing half of their customers because of reps like" Alan ". I am fuming but they have the monopole of free platforms. They do not perform an analysis of the people complaint. I anticipate

“Market Manipulation and Leading Investors”

This company is deciding which stocks to allow investment in and all the sudden, will block purchase orders of stocks overnight without any announcement or reason why. I will never again use this terrible app! Please be sure to file your complaints with the SEC to let them know Robinhood is blocking your investments as they see fit and causing stock price to plummet because of it! https://www.sec.gov/oiea/Complaint.html Tip for consumers:Don't use this site Products used:Stocks Service Value Quality

“Impossible to access account after change - customer support unresponsive”

They used to send me an email to unlock account. Suddenly they say, SMS only. I don't know which phone number they have - I can't access it. Trying to work with customer support. Unhelpful, constantly sending the same canned message, always new names, no phone number, no interest to resolve this. I took most of my money a few weeks ago, therefore I wait for them to do this. Otherwise I would become very very upset. I never trusted them with a large amount, and I was right. I use schwab and vanguard and fidelity for larger accounts. Vanguard is so-so, but Fidelity was really helpful, Tip for consumers:Just don't ever get into using their customer support Service Value

“DO NOT USE!”

DO NOT USE! This app is not only an untrustworthy trading platform, but it specifically curates settings to take advantage of customers. If you incur a fee they will sell your shares without consent - there is no trading transparency - they preset dividend reinvesting so any profits you generate are forced back into the market so Robinhood can take advantage of inexperienced investors. Go use E-Trade or any other trading platform. Do not waste your time and money on such a tremendously fraudulent company. Tip for consumers:STAY AWAY. Service Value Quality

“The worst customer service experience ever”

I've been communicating with their customer service for 17 emails + now and they have literally done not one thing to assist me. The agents are very sassy and seem to not do anything unless you word your request in the exact specific format that they want. Still waiting for my issue to be resolved with no end in sight. Tip for consumers:just don't they are untrustworthy and seem to take advantage of their customers' lack of knowledge about investing etc Service Value

“Market Manipulators”

They need to change their name. They are literally blocking buys and only allowing selling of well performing stocks. Their actions have to be illegal. This is predatory. Stay far away. SEC please investigate.

“Fraud”

Stay away from Robinhood. Where are federal agencies? They suppose to protect people from this madness! How they allow this to happen. Totally unregulated. Basically, you will have to be extremely persistent to get your funds back. Otherwise they will never return them back. That's how they make most of there money. And I am not talking about trading here, I am talking about just your money being on your brokerage account. Customer service? Forget about it. Thieves and fraud. Can't believe we have it in a modern, regulated, lawful America. Products used:Robinhood LLC

“Glitch in the system... Scary”

I have scary and extremely bitter experience. WITHOUT MY CONSENT, Robinhood initiated a transfer of fund from my bank account to Robinhood account. This happened 2 times. Second time when I reported, instead of finding the glitch in their system, they locked out my account and started to verify my identity and asked me to provide legal documents and my photographs. I provided requested information 3 times. It's almost 2 weeks by now and my account is still locked. I'm not getting any appropriate response from support team. They can't figure out the problem in their system. Very concerning... Tip for consumers:Be aware, Robinhood may transfer your money without your consent. “Stay away from this site you will regret if you don't”

I lost my money to Robinhood after making great profit, I went to make a withdrawal but they asked me for more money by which point I knew my suspicions were correct it was a complete scam. Please everyone stay away! I have gotten my capital back with the help of Skyline-recovery, come

“Worst app for stock trading”

Do not use this app! It is designed to have you lose money. They don't work for you they work and play with big hedge fund companies. Also if your not aware of what they did to all of us investors with shutting us down to salvage their buddies on Wall Street. I already moved my stocks away from this shady company. How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Are You the Owner of robinhood.com?

If you own robinhood.com, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").

When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:

* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).

* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).

* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
