prweb.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives prweb.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 86.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 86.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to prweb.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning prweb.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between prweb.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of prweb.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of prweb.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. prweb.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether prweb.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether prweb.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, prweb.com.
Online Reviews of prweb.com

- Score: 1.6 stars
“No way to contact”
Tried contacting customer support using multiple channels. The 1-800 numbers take you through a phone tree that ultimately hangs up on you. The only email address I could find is extremely slow in responding to any messages. After 2 business days and a weekend, I received a response apologizing, citing 'limited support on weekends.' I even tried social media with no response after several days. Absolutely ridiculous and suspicious that we are unable to contact a person when we have an account issue. This company seems to lack any sort of customer care team and is impossible to contact. We are a loyal customer that cannot get assistance with basic account issues.
“PRWeb Is The Best Bang For Your Buck”
PRWeb is an excellent service. Used it in a marketing/PR fashion and was pleasantly satisfied with my results. Multiple pick ups from large media outlets and exposure. Website traffic rose and our overall presence in the market rose immensely. I highly suggest using PRWeb!
“Prweb is a waste of money and a scam. Don't borther!”
PRweb is a scam. They used to be good 10 years ago, right now they are just horrible - the absolute worst. I spent $389 on the premium plan and all I got was 2 clicks. Also, in the visibility report they sent to me, all the 'news sites' they allegedly sent my release to, were all Z-list websites that have views of only a few hundreds a month. This is a big waste of money. Don't bother with PRweb or prnewswire, Cision whatever. Better to spend your money on Facebook or Google or Amazon ads. Don't do PRweb.
“This site should be taken down ASAP”
I'm truly disgusted with the amount of dollars this site charged me for a press-release that I could've gotten for just $10.00, that's right, 10 $#*!ing dollars. For new customers looking forward on working with paying this mess of a company money, stay away, press-releases are just not it. All the websites they send your press to looks the same, not surprised if it's owned by 1 or 2 people. I'm repeating myself, super disappointed, please don't do any business with this dumba*** company. Tip for consumers:Please save your money, don't use this horrible site for stupid things Products used:I used their 205 package that wasted my f*** time Service Value Quality
“They hide their internal requirements to send out releases,...”
They hide their internal requirements to send out releases, pick at will what releases require an additional company authorization. Their user interface is third-world. They don't have spell check or auto-save, can't upload a video if it isn't on YouTube. Can you believe they don't even support Microsoft Word?!? Can't wait until I don't have to use them again. Complete waste of energy.
“Used this one for business purposes”
Used this one for business purposes. They offered press release distribution to a variety of online publications. The press release did get a good distribution, but I wish I have discussed the exact publishers beforehand as not all of my expectations we met. However, all in all, quite a decent service.
“Pretty much useless service”
Paid for expedited service, did not get it. Paid for help with submission, did not get it. Both editors were very low in energy and seemed burnt out with their job and unwilling to put a little effort in to figure out what I needed and I paid almost $800. Asked for my money back when they had no viable solutions or ideas to offer
“Review for PR Web and Vocus and OutMarket”
Review for PR Web and Vocus and OutMarket - We purchased a marketing suite set of services from these companies. PR Web - Vocus shifted our contract to Outmarket. This company was deceptive in their sales process claiming heavy lifting for services managing press releases and systems. The extent of their support was reviewing press releases for grammar. Recommend staying away from these companies and their services.
“Changes all the links to nofollow from dofollow”
Changes all the links to nofollow from dofollow. Links from this website was one of the major reasons for SEO companies to go for Prweb.com. But now their value is not much valuable for small to medium businesses. Think before you spend any money with PRweb.com. You can go for other websites where you can get better value for money.
“TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!”
These guys talked to me whilst they were trying to pitch a sale. They seemed genuine, so I went along with them and thought I would give them a go. Now that my year subscription has passed, I decided to check on their performance... ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! There were only a few links to my website when checking google search engine with site: website.com procedure, and what's worse, none of the links would actually work! I have since tried to cancel my subscription (immediately), and they have still not responded, it has been 2 months since and they are still charging my credit card! ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ACTUAL SERVICE-AS FAR AS I AM AWARE, THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING FOR MY BUSINESS. NOT RECOMMENDED!
“Don't waste your money”
Eight days after I submitted a press release -- EIGHT DAYS LATER -- after I had paid for it, approved it, and submitted the final, I get an email that it's on hold. And asks me if I'd still like to release it. I asked for a refund. I also got a supervisor's phone number. I'm glad I did, because it's been several hours and I still haven't gotten an email confirmation.
“PRWeb is totally worthless”
PRWeb is totally worthless. They have "editors" who want to nitpick everything that is written; and it is a waste of time dealing with them or PRWeb itself. Don't waste your money!
“Good Service. Solid Product.”
I have been using PRWeb for quite some time. I think they provide the best ROI. I leverage my distribution list and their ability to get good SEO to max my exposure.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
