popsugar.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives popsugar.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 88.5. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 88.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to popsugar.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning popsugar.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between popsugar.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of popsugar.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of popsugar.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. popsugar.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether popsugar.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether popsugar.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, popsugar.com.

- Score: 3.1
Even though I went in with my guard up, I managed to be dumber on my way out.
I don't think it's fair for companies to use content from a published book for articles that they sell adverts with. There's a word for that.I'm glad they've had a change of heart now.

- Score: 2.0 stars
“No refunds, not quarterly”
I bought an annual subscription. They don't ship quarterly at all. Bought 8/29. First shipment 11/11. Inquired 2/24 where next one was and they said it should ship in a few more weeks. A quarterly shipment should have been sent by 2/11. They said I can't get any refund for the subscription despite their lack of fulfillment so I'll dispute with my credit card company.
“Way too much advertising - GREEDY”
I was just trying to see the latest trends from the catwalk and every second slide pops up some annoying ad that I actually had just seen two slides ago anyway. Why I now just have contempt for that brand and this website. Don't treat your customers like mindless idiots.
“Horrible customer service”
Boxes are a cute gift, hit or miss some months. However, heaven help you if you need to get a hold of customer service! They have no phone line (how convenient) and you have to email back and forth with your issue hardly being resolved. Not using it or recommending it again.
“Nice site to visit for fashion information”
Nice site to visit for fashion information. Pop can also send stories and points of interest for fashionista's the follow the trends. Moreover, it has all the celebrity scoop you may want... it is very cute!
“Easy Baking”
I am going to make the Cinnamon Rolls and if they turn out will give a 5. I gave it a 4 because the picture looks great the instructions seen easy. Could be added to my holiday brunch menu. Always looking for good and easy and this appears to fit the bill.
“I have not received one thing I have wanted or used”
I have not received one item that I wanted or even found interesting! Every time I would call and say how disappointed I was with each box they would reassure me on how GREAT the next box was going to be. It never was and actually has gotten worse as the year has gone along. I really wish I had not wasted my money on this box!
“Worse Customer Service Experience Ever!”
To be a huge company supposedly one of the" leaders in the market" they have a loooooong way to go before claiming that. The Customer Service lack of professionalism. If they have people ordering month to month they should have a good phone call system. Usually I know subscription boxes get in touch late through e-mails. But I also know that good big companies have a phone line and the wait time should not be more than 20 minutes. Other agents or companies recognize when it was their fault any misunderstanding and they have gave me a box or next month for free to repair the damage caused in my credit card. This Company instead of do something more than reimbursed the money in about 20 days ASK ME to ship all 4 July boxes, that were registered by mistake on their website when I tried to get a coupon code. The website was overload of requests and it charged me 4 times instead of 1. Even They new that. It has to be a burden for me to go to a FedEx location and Drop off all the boxes Service Value Shipping Quality
“Pretty decent”
I love subscription boxes and have had several from various companies. The fall of 2018 was a nice box. However, I wish the scents and colors of the products were customizable. I did not care for the scent of my candle. The color of the lipstick does not work for me, wish the accessory organizer came In other colors. They do have bonus items that really increase the value. My box was worth about 350. I spent 75. Not bad at all
“Too many ads”
This site is okay, but there are way too many ads. Whenever i try to read something i have to constantly click the next button and i keep accidentally clicking on ads. It makes me not want to ever go on this site. I would not recommend it.
“Horrible service”
I tried the for the first time this month. They charged my credit card on 12/1/2018 and I received an e-mail stating the box had shipped on 12/6/2018. I tracked the box and after 12/11/2018 it didn't move. It is EXTREMELY difficult to find there phone number, and when I did find I had to leave a message which was never returned. I then emailed them and they have failed to return that as well so now I have been charged for a box I never received!
“Stupid people”
I would like to know what gives you the right to publish an article that says be aware of W. I. C items while we are in the pandemic.! ARE YOU FU#KING SERIOUS, U want people to understand the. People who get paid by the government to live in low income apartments because they ate to lazt or had to many kids that they cant work, but you are forgetting the people who do work for a living that the W. I. C. People are buying our before they get there like the senior citizens the mentally I'll, and u go and put sympathy letters out there for the W. I. C users, that's what they all do is use the entire public and u decide that's what ur worried about, hrow the fu k up. Uou make me sick. I hope u get Coronavirus and the W. I. C people are in front of in line with everything u cant get. Stupid people no brains u should fire that $#*! that wrote article I'll never look at anything from popsugar again, not that it was ever worth anyway.
“Overall Fun Site”
I really like PopSugar and usually have a lot of fun reading their gossip and fashion articles. A few too many ads or I would have given it 5 stars, but overall fun site.
“Juicy”
This is such a fun site for celebrity tidbits and articles. Stuff you don't see in mags and other sites. There is also fun recipes and fitness topics. It's got everything really.
“Terrible”
Waste of time. So terrible that I am sacrificing more of my time to hopefully spare people from the terrible onslaught against intelligence that this site promotes.
“Online Scam”
I ordered Easter gifts for my grandchildren on March 7th with the expectation I would receive them by now March 30th. I still do not have a delivery date and unable to track the shipment. Tip for consumers:Avoid Popsugarday! Products used:I have never received the purchase made 3 weeks ago. Service Value Shipping
“Pricey”
40 bucks a month is what you will pay to receive the must have boxes by PopSugar. They hv recently added a mini for 18.95. I so far hv only received 1 box and will be getting Aprils box. The method Im using to determine which subscription boxes I will subscribe to is the 3 strikes method. All of these subscription boxes are a gamble but for 40 bucks a month I think its overpriced. The worth of the boxes are based on the suggested retail price. Even with the mini your only getting 2 items I just think its overpriced, over hyped. The items should be better quality and I think you should get alot more items in a 40 dollar box. They hv special edition boxes that cost 100. Dont fall for the hype you can get 3 other beauty boxes for the price of this 1 box. And when you dont know what your getting its too high of a price. If you like certain items go to eBay and you will probably find it for sale. Its the best route to go if you hv a tight budget. The quality of the items the number of items you get just dont cut it for me. Dont get caught up in the hype be smart. Most of these bloggers, and vloggers are getting these boxes for free. Even if I received it free to review I would still feel the same some praise these companies just so they can continue getting free items from other companies that want good reviews. I know Im long winded and probably rambling so I apologize for that. Long story short its not worth the money.
“Seems to be racist to a white woman”
Discriminating, most disappointing company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, will never do it again, so just a heads up people
“Popsugar Supports Domestic Abuse”
Don't be fooled - this company does not give a $#*! about domestic abuse and I have the experience to prove it. Everyone should be aware that Popsugar is okay with featuring an article that has an abusive couple in it and why you should reconsider patroning this app, and moreover, the Popsugar collective. In one of their articles, they praise a notorious abuser and her relationship as "everything" and "a fairytale" when this claim couldn't be further from the truth. I know the truth because, unfortunately, for the last two years I've gotten to bear witness for the victim in this relationship - my sister, Hannah. The regrettable relationship that Popsugar praises is an extremely abusive one that features screaming, name-calling, (suicide and violence) threats, intimidation, and commands for extreme isolation and control of the victim from friends and family. This relationship is incredibly volatile, toxic, and abusive. What's even more disgusting is that I originally let Popsugar know this over a year ago, in addition to providing them with screenshoted evidence of the abuse, and they have failed to follow up with me or look more into it. I know there's been a pandemic going on, but abuse is a serious issue and Popsugar has treated it as anything but. It's obvious now at this point I'm not even going to get a response, just super disappointing. Dealing with my sister in an abusive relationship has been hard enough for my family, and Popsugars dismissive and insensitive response in which they are siding with my sister's abuser is demoralizing at best. I tell everyone I know about Popsugar, their unacceptable journalism and conduct. You can rest assured the articles you are reading do not reflect the actual situation at hand. Tip for consumers:Respect yourself and avoid this company Products used:None because this company is a joke

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
