Is pluralsight.com Legit?

I have just taken a subscription of 1150 promising me access to 7000+ tutorials, however after I tried access any trainings, it keeps asking me to upgrade to again 1149 even after multiple logins.Support has been terrible and non-responsive

Trash company. Sending me marketing emails I never signed up for, while offering no clear cut method to unsubscribe (illegal in the US). In an effort to address it, I tried to call their support number - except even though they provide a phone #, their is no support available, only a voicemail advising people to ‘email them’, them they immediately hang up on the caller.

First, they are a rip-off, second their customer service is 0 stars.I had to use them as my employer Bell Canada made it mandatory, however you get better quality of courses on Udemy!They do not want to support you even when making money! I requested support and Taneja Sambhav, if even a real person, has never showed up to the Zoom meeting they set up with me at 11:30PM, as that is like 9:30 in India.Not worth a single look, forget about consideration...

Avoid Pluralsight at any cost. Do not buy anything from them because you won't be able to cancel your paid plan. They are crooks and thieves. I canceled the subscription, and they are still sending me invoices, threatening the collection agency if I don't pay. This is extremely sick corporate tactic. Similar like Adobe, you also can't cancel without paying a fee - all these corporations are behaving increasingly aggressively. Avoid.

Diabolically bad. Signed up (via a vendor) for a years worth of Pluralsight for my team. Took several weeks for the vendor to get a quote and several weeks for them to process the order and send the license through once paid. As soon as we logged in we noticed with horror that we had been granted access to the instance of a completely separate organisation with a vaguely similar name. Exposing the names and learning data of their employees to another organisation. I reported this to Pluralsight account manager and then chased it over, and over, and over. Eventually we were given access to another instance, but our licenses were not carried across, we didn't have the correct product assigned, and the trial eventually expired. I chased up again with our account manager only to find he'd left or been fired and a new account manager had taken his place. The new account manager, instead of following my simple instructions to resolve the situation, decided to once again assign my team to the other completely unconnected organisation, putting us back to square one and probably breaking several data compliance laws in the process. After four months of being unable to use the service, I gave the new account manager one final chance to fix before leaving for a vacation. When I returned, nothing had changed, two weeks had passed and we were still unable to use the service. I've never seen anything like it. Avoid this organisation like the plague!

I was surprised by the negative feedback. I signed up for a 10-day free trial today and received clear information that if you don't cancel within 10 days, you will be charged. Some users said it's impossible to cancel, but I found a "cancel" button in my account, which worked fine. The tutorials also seems really good to me.Perhaps there is some confusion about reading the pop-up messages and emails from Pluralsight?

Bought some of their courses from another platform in late 2022, saw nowhere specifications about said courses being time based subscription and found out recently that I'd not paid for those courses but "just subscribed".Carry your money elsewhere, there are alternatives more clear about what are you paying for with your money.

It is not possible to remove payment details or cancel a business subscription on the website. They make you "email your contact" who doesn't get back to you for weeks.I've had to point out their PCI obligations.Just no.

The company inexplicably closed my account, despite the fact that I purchased a year long subscription only 4 months ago. It's impossible to reach a human being. Calls to their support number, 801-784-9007, are forwarded to an automated message instructing the user to email. Then the connection is terminated. I have yet to receive a response from customer support from the email I sent. I will contact my credit card company and dispute their charge. It doesn't matter how great the courses are if the company just takes your money and can't stand behind its product.

I was just considering a trial, and it wasn't obvious how long this would last for, so I thought I'd try and ask (I later found it's 10 days / 200 mins of use, supposedly - although people complain about being charged off the bat).I tried to use the chat bot to ask them. Two issues:1) They ask relentless questions before you can chat to a (supposed) person. If I'd continued, I think they would have asked my social security number and names of my pets!2) The chat window loses focus every time they reply. You have to click in just the right area to type a counter-reply. Such poor coding makes you wonder what their courses will be like and who they're hiring!I am avoiding at the first hurdle, especially now reading some of the other experiences on here. I miss the days of TrainSignal who were actually good (before they were bought by this lot)

The platform is meant for DevOps and IT specialists only. It falsely advertises itself as for all tech skillsets/teams, which is highly inaccurate. As of 2023 May, it doesn't have a single interactive option - code challenge, lab, path, skill IQ (assessment), or even an interactive course - for data science. All learning material is just generic videos. If that's all you want/need, save your pennies, and just find a topic you're interested in on Google books (or any other platform you prefer) & open it with voice reader and voila!

As developer, this is my primary source platform, I use to treat it as a library, only just consuming content as needed.One improvement will be to can search, like "deep searches" by topic, because each video has its own title but most of the times the video itself contains more topics than the title is referencing.Thanks for the hard work!

We've been using Pluralsight for a over a year to train our graduates. Usage has declined so I requested to drop from 5 seats to 2 seats 1 day before my subscription was due to auto renew.The T&C's do say it's 30 days notice but there is absolutly no wriggle room in this. So I'm now paying for 5 seats, 3 of which are not used until November 2023. Our account manager also dodges every email sent to him.I won't be returning as a customer after this term.Terrible customer retention stratergy.1 Star - Beacuse ZERO wasn't an option.

Terrible support. My account was locked because of alleged "unusual account activity". I have no idea what was going on, neither did they apparently. Support offered no help with resolution so I just told them to close my account. I've had an account for several years and had no problem until now. I've read about this happening to others too. Don't waste your money on them. They do not value long-standing customers

I've used you guys in the past, tried to have another ago, but couldn't even pay! Tried a Visa and a Mastercard, both didn't work for some reason, then tried with Paypal and got a notification of insuficcient funds because you were trying to charge me 221.51£ instead of 184,59 £ . Why would you try and charge me more than what you say? Just because of the above I moved to another provider, no transparency, website's weird and support taking ages to reply

Okay tutorials not enough content to warranty the £24 per month it costs. but found that some have important exercise files missing. Also their Help & Tech support seems non-existent - after messaging them for help with playback and sound issues I received zero replies. Due to this I cancelled the subscription after the 2nd month and honestly feel a bit ripped off.

I am surprised there are so many negative reviews on Pluralsight. The subjects within the courses is well explained and there are certainly things you wont learn anywhere else. Very good selection of content, strictly following the code along files. This is where i started really learning..

I was introduced to pluralsight by my company in 2016. At that time they had videos on so many topics, Kotlin, Kafka android development, Flutter, React etc. Videos were very consistent in delivering the contents and it was fun to learn something new every week even if that learning adds no business value to my profile. Over the time somehow Pluralsight started retiring courses for no obvious reasons. As of now if you browse thru the courses, you will find they are heavily inclined towards AWS. Kubernetes -> setting up cluster in AWS, docker -> running docker on Aws, Python, Run Python on AWS, Kafka -> how to get Kafka up and running on AWS... React-> how to get your first react app up and running on AWS...My god, not everyone uses AWS. not everyone is a fan of AWS. why pluralsight is pushing AWS so much?After retaining my membership for years, it was time to relinquish as I'm not interested in AWS. Other contents are clearly limited. They keep on adding bells and whistles to their platform not paying any attention to the content. I'd recommend Udemy or if you want better content and a vast array of topics, go for O Reilly. They not only have video courses, but books and also training sessions with high rated and the last time I knew they also added a playground to try out the code, online.

This is one of the best training video's site out their for IT and development, I had a subscription for around 1.5 years and I learnt a lot from it.Videos are done professionally, clear language, and good production, and just great.Ok their price is higher than other training websites from this category, but in the end, the quality of Pluralsight videos is better than many others.

I use to have no idea where to start learning a new technology. Hopefully Google or YouTube would pop up something useful, but it would take hours to vet and usually the results didn't get me past beginner level. PluralSight does all that for me so I can just sit down and learn whatever I need to in as much depth as I want. As a software engineer, PluralSight has helped me quickly jump between niches.

Trainsignal.com is a bunch of liars. They lie to you telling you how great their customer service is but then you can't get them back on the phone after the sale. I tried to get my money back (they advertise a money back guarantee) but not I'm fighting it with my credit card company. The guys at train signal should be put out of business.

Before I decided to go the community college route, I did look at going to kaplan for the easier schedule and the ability for me to still keep my day job. Looking at their graduates, it appears they struggle to find a job. Just do a search online and you will see that a kaplan degree doesn't mean too much. Community colleges have much better local connections to get a job. If you read this do yourself a favor and check all of the local community schools and even if it is more challenging to fit them into your work schedule it is worth it in the long run.

They are good to decent. It does depend on the content. I get access for free, so I could not tell you if it is a value for the money. I had used them as a extra study source for some certifications. Also use them as a means to feel out a new subject or certification I would like to look into. They are not going to be good for everyone. First all the content for teaching is video. If you are hands on or need instructor lead this will not work. You can take exams to test knowledge. I do not know how well this maps to certifications. Only dabbled with the exams. I have not look at any courses yet that were not Computer Science.

It's more than 5,000 courses the t. I and related, I realized 4 courses and knowledge I got helped me become a better professional, best practices and modern, the value of the signature may seem a little pricey but the content is there and worth the investment, I recommend!

In my search for an online school so far kaplan I think is ranking the best. They it seems are owned by the washington post I think and seem at least very legit and have been around for years. I remember people in high school going to kaplan for their SATs. They offer more degrees it seems than many other online schools including an MBA and JD degree once you finish the bachelors degree. It appears you could become a lawyer all online if you can take out enough loans to pay for it all. The cost is about the same as other online schools and I think the fact that they have a very long history is a good thing. A. O.'s undercover applicants." That worries me. But I am not sure if there are any online schools that are any different in this regard or at least ones that I can get into easily. Another big advantage of kaplan is that they have physical locations as well and are not purely online. That makes me feel better that I can at least visit my local kaplan office for help. They had a case against them that they defrauded the government and inflated students grades to help them graduate... I cannot see anything wrong with that! Help me graduate, heck ya! Would the government rather kick out the students? Not a bad online education I think but would like to hear more from others.
