Is onbuy.com Legit?

Excellently delivered, simple, easy service to use, very important to me. Will use on buy again, being disabled it’s very important that I can shop online without any anxiety and I know there is a procedure I am able to access should I have any complaints or issues. Diane Lees

This is my first purchase from oneBuy. Would definitely use this provider again. The website was easy to use. The communication was excellent. Constant update on delivery dates and time etc and delivered on time.

The prompt responses and ease of solving a dispute. A seller didn't deliver an item, I tried to resolve this but they became abusive. OnBuy had a simple process to raise a dispute and it was resolved and a refund within days. Very reassuring to know that the support is there. This is the first issue I have had with a seller in years and would highly recommend OnBuy

Onbuy is a great site wth great deals. I do find it easier to find what I am looking for by searching in a search engine outside of the onbuy website, rather than on the onbuy website itself. This could be due to settings on my computer (??) but it does seem an unnecessary step. Once on the website for my chosen product, there are lots of alternative products displayed. Very easy to use.

What draws me to consider OnBuy, is that it gives me access to products that are not generally available on the high street, and the various products that I have ordered have included free delivery. I have to say that that all in all I could recommend OnBuy for the sheer versatility of the range of products on offer.

Absolute shambles. 2 items purchased, both turned out to be counterfeit and not as described.Do not buy a Nintendo Switch from here as you will receive a Hong Kong version not one advertised as UK. Several weeks later and still having to dispute a refund for an item they have received back!! Never again, save yourself the headache and stress and just pay an extra £50 from Argos and have no drama.

I have to admit, I'd always bypassed onbuy.com for a long time, but I'd judged wrongly. Seeing that they actually had many good reviews, I ordered a fast phone charger from them. It arrived quickly and does the job excellently. Very pleased and I'll use onbuy.com again.

ONBuy. Is a very good company and using Evri for deliveries is spot on. All item are very good value and we get cash incentives on everything we purchase.

Thankfully I found m y fav aftershave which has been discontinued. Ordering was easy and delivery was speedy. Could not ask for better service.

I actually like Onbuy. So feel a bit bad for only giving them 3 stars. BUT the problem lies with the people selling on the company. I've had issue after issue with items not turning up or being delivered waaaaay after the due date. Some of them are good at sorting the issue but others will fob you off or just not reply at all. Granted Onbuy do tend to sort it out for you in that instance. I'm not sure I would recommend them just on these issues alone.

I am so pleased with my purchase. As our in-house Santa, I work hard finding just the right present for my boys, and this year the coveted item was an impossible-to-find-in-the-UK tech deck obstacle set. OnBuy using companies GJ SONS LTD , AL Azizia store. And so , selling out of date products bought 3 packs of 12 protein chocolate bars . Found it cheaper but when I received I understand why. 1 of pack was 3 months out of date , chocolates had whites over it , disgusting. I trow it in bin . Asked for refund . Companies Asked for return of out of date chocolate bars from my bin😂😂😂. OnBuy couldn't resolve my money back. So just waisted my money and nerves. Advise avoid buying food products from here. And OnBuy shame on you.

“Supplied a different product”

They sent wrong product, they supply no phone number or email address, they claimed product was sent from another company I cannot trace when in fact it was amazonn from the packaging and paperwork but still the wrong was product. As i bought as a guest I cannot complain as a pin code is required which when you request it on their site is never given. I didn't loose much money but am furious that companies can behave like this one

“Buyer Beware - Customer Service Non existent if you have a problem with purchase”

Bought a rugby shirt for my son which arrived safely but was too big so wanted to swap for a smaller size. With 30 day refund policy stated did not believe it would be a problem. Seller replied that return costs would be too expensive (later realised they were in China), so they then offered me £5 compensation which increased to £10 when I reminded them they were quoting 30 day refunds and compensation not what I wanted as am left with a shirt my son cannot wear and £25+ out of pocket. I then heard nothing from the Seller so have repeatedly contacted OnBuy who initially responded and mentioned their OnBuy Protection but no response now. All in all a very frustrating and disappointing experience so I shall certainly not be purchasing from OnBuy.com again. Buyer Beware! “Terrible experience after receiving a faulty product”

Terrible experience after receiving a faulty product from a seller. I returned the product and never got my money back. I opened a dispute and Onbuy reassured me that they would refund me. This of course never happened and have sent multiple emails, to which they don't even reply... I would advise to either buy from a reputable seller and pray for the best or just avoid this site... Purchased replacement heads for electric toothbrush on 26/07/2023. Item never arrived. Asked OnBuy to deal with the matter. They said the seller does not respond to their emails and the case will be referred to OnBuy Protection. As per 02/11/2023 the case is still not resolved. OnBuy has stopped responding to my reminders. There is no option to give 'zero' rating hence 'one'

“Faulty PC twice won't give a refund!”

This has been the worst experience EVER! My partner bought a PC for my son for Christmas which was faulty! We had a replacement sent on 20th January which was also FAULTY! Apparently this one has no graphics card. So understandable want our money back. They have said it is over 30 days! We haven't had a day with a PC that is as per specifications as the add. Under the consumer act 2015 we are well within our rights to our money back! Bear in mind that a 10 year old has no PC that works and it is February 1st and it was his Christmas present! “If "build back better" was an online shopping site”

If "build back better" was an online shopping site, it would be OnBuy. Zero customer service, no response to the charges they fraudulently billed to my credit card, and (apparently) no way to get my money back. It looks like the site was created by high school freshmen on day 1 of html instruction with bugs and faulty pages everywhere. I even got SSL "unsecure page" warnings at one point, which made me wonder who has access to my banking information now. Extremely sketchy... They sell used items as new. Then when things go wrong you find out that its a third party who has no interest in dealing with your problem. I ordered a halogen oven from 'OnBuy' on the 23/10/23 o/n T5658DB. I returned it via the post office tracker on the 30/10/23 I received no communication from them. They blocked any e.mails I sent, 'OnBuy' finally e.mailed me, they are worse than useless, I was told that the company I bought the oven from would contact me within 2 days, they didn't! It has been over 6 weeks since I returned the oven, I received an e.mail yesterday off 'OnBuy' to say My Ticket had expired, whatever that is! “Can't get refund on item never received”

I purchased a ps5 for a Xmas present beginning of November. Item was sent out with wrong name on package. So was returned to sender by Royal Mail. Seller didn't have another one to send out so had to refund me. Now 7 weeks later I still have not had my money back. I have sent all documentation showing Royal Mail tracking saying item wrongly addressed and returned to sender. And message from the seller apologising that they have sent the item out with the wrong name. But all this time later still no refund. You can't speak to anyone only message. Most of the time they don't reply to you but on the odd occasion that they do it takes 48hrs and they are not helpful. Please avoid. This company should be shut down. Worst customer service I have ever encountered

Onbuy owes me £500 in compensation for the time I wasted listing 460 products. This company canceled my sales account causing me financial loss. Furthermore, this company owes me £200 for the time lost due to red tape. Even though I met their conditions (company documents, positive reviews, proof of product ownership, etc.), they did not allow me to sell with them. In addition, this company robed me off from the £22.80 I paid them for "selling rights" even though the service was not delivered to me. Onbay are scammers who just want to rob you of your time and money. “Beware used burnt hazardous electrical item”

Purchased a Sharp microwave oven and paid extra for delivery but didn't get it on time۔ Then when it arrived, it came with burnt enamel in the oven cavity. Furthermore, instead of a secure plate covering electronic components inside the cavity there was a flimsy cardboard type piece, which fell out and electronics can be seen in oven cavity. Sent images with high resolution. Seller didn't respond with solution۔ After waiting 72 hours I was able to contact onbuy customer service who sent automated message that I'll be contacted in 48 hours but no contact made۔ Again I messaged onbuy and silence۔ It has been over a week now and no solution and no email response. Its left be with the impression that Onbuy is a scam where sellers can scam people via by selling faulty, hazardous and used items as if they were brand new without repercussions and buyers money is stolen without any response or recourse. I have decided: 1) never to buy from Onbuy again 2) leave more reviews on line 3) contact Fair Trading Standards

Their 'OnBuy protection states that you can message them but this option is only during a conversation with the seller, in which you click 'get help from OnBuy', after 2 days. I selected this however I didn't hear from OnBuy following a request for assistance 5 later and was forced to raise a case with Paypal, despite OnBuy's response stating 'we will be in touch within 48 hours'. There is also no way to Contact OnBuy via phone, email or any other messaging system. People say it is cheap to buy from Onbuy. I learned the opposite, to my horror. Gardeners Dream was the seller for peanuts advertised at £30 for 25kg. I opened the tab to show sizes and prices. There were no sizes and their photo showed peanuts with 25kg written on it. I understood that was the size and price. I did try to contact the seller, based in Scotland, but received no response. I decided it had to be OK, all British. Peanuts arrived a week later. Three bags with 12.55kg written on the bags. Thought there must be mire coming. Opened them to pour in to 5kg bins. There was not 12.55kg but instead 10kg. I contacted Onbuy. I was told that is what you ordered. To cut a long story short, Gardeners Dream basically said tough, would take no responsibility for misleading the buyer and Onbuy backed them up. And the final insult? I put a negative review on Onbuy site and they deleted it. So the reviews for Onbuy are misleading too. I expect most of the reviews on Onbuy site are manufactured. DO NOT BUY FROM ONBUY!
