Is omnipod.com Legit?

Customer service is awful. I got a loaner PDM in July which i returned unused at the start of August tracked Royal Mail. It was received by them so i thought that was that. I have now received many harassing emails saying that i am going to be charged £250 as i never returned it. I have emailed and called customer service many times and each time get told something different. I just received another harassing email this morning 8 weeks after i returned the loaner saying in am now getting invoiced for £250 plus VAT. Absolute bullies and a disgrace.

Omni Pod DASH. The absolute worse system I've encountered thus far. The pod failures are criminal, support is hit and miss, cant speak to someone in charge, they, like government , sluff all concerns off to those in the lowest part of the company. The percentage of pod failure is too high, whether it quits or falls off, separates from the cloth attached to the pod, priming failures, PDM runs out of power quickly at 50% capacity, Sometimes customer service is great when you can get through their automated "Artificial Idiot" answering service: most times I hang up, frustrated. . When it works, it works great, but too often it fails; the product and the Company.

Omnipod is great for helping control and maintain blood sugar levels. I’ve been a T1D for 38 years. And have used insulin injections mostly, mini med pump and Omnipod dash/5.And the amount of waste that is generated every three days to change pod sites is awful compared to using injections. No part of the pod would be reusable. I took the pod apart to see what it was made of. There are 3 small batteries in every pod. That are discarded every 3 days. Along with microchips, metals, hard plastics, ect.We need to demand a more sustainable product.

My blood sugars have never been so bad, horrendous highs and lows. By day 3 i have to bolus from a pen as it no longer works. Uncomfortable and painful to wear.The only thing worse than the actual product is the awful customer service. Incorrect information given to both me and my DSN, orders of pods that are not delivered. They even phoned in the middle of the night to "update the system" - completely unacceptable to wake people up in the night unless it's an emergency. Please do yourself a favour and use another pump company.

Although the product is functioning ok (using dash) now, the customer service is far below what you may expect. Requested a holiday- back up system 7 days prior to leaving but was refused one for protocol reasons. Should have asked 7 work days in advance. Even suggesting to pick it up is denied. Now: going on holiday without and have to accept serious risk due to protocol…feeling worried since the product itself did fail in the past.

Omnipod has the worst phone engineers in the business. It takes forever for them to enable their app to work on a new phone with better specs. They should be ashamed of themselves

My wife is on holiday with my daughter in Amsterdam, we think they had the PDM stolen (pickpockets). I rang Insulet and explained the situation and that we needed a replacement device as they were traveling back to the UK in the morning, after giving my security answers and answering a few more questions they informed me they would be shipping one out to my address. Less than 2 hours later the device was in my hand, I was very impressed. When they get back to the UK in the morning we'll be back on track. Thanks to the guy who dealt with my original request and the other guys that followed up with a rough time of arrival

Whilst omnipod itself is an excellent life changing tool...the customer service is not. I have called 3 times to request additional pumps for my T1 son and been given 3 different answers. They read from a script can barley speak English, have zero compassion and do not realise that death is the answer to their denial and lack of disregard. I cant stand phoning them up. They should be ashamed of themselves.

In the beginning the Omnipod system works pretty good but as I have continued using it is a constant issue. I am T1 for over 20 years. I have used several types of pump systems. I do tend to be insulin resistant but I have a lot of trouble with cannula leakage or not going in deep enough. As far as keeping you level at a acceptable range not so good. To say I replaced a pod and within 20 minutes BGon sensor read 289. Checked with meter it tested at 389. This 20% difference that Omnipod says is acceptable is not acceptable for me. Looking into going back to Medtronic

I had 8-10 consecutive failed omnipods and the company refuses to replace them. Their product failed. And when I called to ask for replacements because my insurance won’t cover it they told me ‘no’ because I hadn’t saved the failed products. It is marketed as disposable so I threw them away when they didn’t work. Now I’m facing 1-2 months without pods and when I asked what I was supposed to do about it because my insurance won’t give me more for weeks they told me it wasn’t their problem and that I should have saved my medical waste. I have been using them for years. They clearly just had a bad batch of pods and instead of owning up to it they told me to go away. I’m already researching alternative products because this company clearly doesn’t care about diabetic health like they claim. They only care about marketing a bad product and won’t do anything to fix their mistakes.I also have pediatric age siblings who have had pod failures and they won’t replace those either. So they are leaving children to get sick off of their mistakes. Not just the adults.Horrible business practices and disgusting greedy view of humanity.
