Is oilpaintings.com Legit?

I was somewhat dubious when I ordered, but I trusted the easy return policy and felt I had little to lose. I went all in and ordered 5 large oil reproductions with frames. The quality was fantastic, better than I had hoped or expected. Delivery was timely and the materials arrived with no flaws or damage. I am completely happy, and pleased I was able to achieve my design goals without many, many hours of traipsing to galleries and/or framing shops. I intend to order two more.

The paintings were excellent and professionally painted. I asked for the two artists that previously painted pictures for me and there was absolutely no disappointment. Take my word, this is the best place to purchase quality art at a reasonable price.Did I mention how well packed they were?

I ordered four paintings done by three different original artists. Two by Francois Boucher in a custom size that came out beautifully by taking into consideration the different dimensions I asked for. I also ordered one painting by Jean-Honore Fragonard and one painting by Marguerite Gerard. I asked Lowell to make the dress colors in the two paintings as a similar color and that the carpet and cushion on the chair should have the same color scheme. All of that custom -made. All that was done perfectly! My big thank you to Lowell and the artists who made these wonderful reproductions for me. They are beautiful and I enjoy them very much. And... since my husband and I was so happy with our first order, we order four more paintings !

We just received the oil painting that was ordered and the painting took our breath away! The workmanship is impeccable and the detail is just amazing! I ordered several paintings from this company in September, 2020. At first, I was upset, because it was well beyond the 16 week time period for me to receive my paintings, however, after speaking with the owner, Lowell, he assured me that the paintings would be coming within days, and the backlog was due to the large number of orders that he has received. (Lucky him.)Well, I received the paintings today, and I am extremely pleased with the final product. It was well worth waiting for. I ordered, "On the Cliffs of Bell Isle on Mer, Sunset" "River Landscape with Bridge and Distant Mountains II" and "The Shortening Winters Day is near a Close" All beautifully done, and look very, very close to the originals. Great talented artists! I will not hesitate to order from this company again.Important note: when ordering please state that you want the paintings to be delivered already stretched on canvas, and not rolled up. That was my error.

I recently moved into a former Monastery that had been converted into 80 Condominiums. In designing my new home, I accented the building's history and sought religious artwork accordingly. In particular, I wanted a 48" x 36" reproduction of a complex Fra Angelico piece ("Christ Glorified in Heaven") that contained close to 50 different figures. We are looking for masterworks where the artist captures the essence of the original. That takes weeks to create from a blank canvas. That is exactly what we received. After nearly a year I had to get PayPal involved. I attached three of the four I received. One painting they had their "best" painter re-paint for me. Can you guess which painting is from their best artist? I read a few of the other reviews and would be interested in seeing what they call outstanding paintings. If you do not mind amateur looking paintings then go ahead. By no means are these close to being professionally painted. SOOOO many details forgotten, and unmastered. I will agree that the frames are nice, costly, but nice.

“Artists! But, scam artists”

First of all - read VERY carefully the refund and return policy. Why? If the painting comes damaged, or it is not what you ordered - yes, not your painting - it is on you. They won't pay for the return shipping. Now, if the picture is a large size, it will cost you a lot to ship it insured. Why? The moment the painting reaches them, they will claim it came damaged from you, and again, it is on you... they will not pay a penny. It is stated in their policy. This is one thing. The paintings themselves could be better painted by a blind, or kids, painting by numbers. Most of them do not resemble the reality. Not even close. I know, they are reproductions, but these are bad jokes. In the end you still have to pay the full amount. Don't trust me? Give it a try... Overall you probably have a better chance to getting a decent picture ordered directly overseas, and shipped here, than getting it from this crooks.

We feel duped. FAR from museum quality as advertised. These are the same quality as one might find at boardwalk "art galleries". Ordered 4 paintings for a vacation home. Paid over $1,000 & waited nearly 4 months w/excitement for TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Did not expect to confuse an expert; but did expect high-end renditions to compliment an elegant room. The paint is so thin that one can plainly see the weave of the canvases from a distance. Because the paints appear to have been applied so sparingly by the artists, the result is a dry and chalky texture, rather than deep layers and rich coloring. One painting has brush bristles embedded throughout the paint. THEN, the framer did not take care to join the frames properly on all paintings, leaving gaps at the corners and opposing carving patterns in the frame design. The comments / testimonials on the company's website are approved by the site manager prior to publishing. Please take time to read OTHER internet reviews. From our experience, the work is fine if one wants a pretty picture to fill space. However, we could have saved a great deal of money, time and embarrassment by purchasing from an art school or a hotel expo sale, rather than the "museum quality" pieces from this company. The contact person, Lowell, was friendly. However, we had to start pushing for a delivery time more than 3 months AFTER the order was placed and were told that they were waiting for the work to dry. Understandable for a museum quality piece. After receiving the artwork, we would truly like to know WHAT MUSEUM?
