Is novacredit.com Legit?

I supplied a physical copy of my 1099 to verify my income. They then sent me an email requesting that I grant them full and unlimited access to my checking account to verify my income. What a joke. Are these people nuts? First of all, they don’t need access to my checking account to verify my income. I already gave them the physical copy of my annual 1099R.

I used Nova Credit when applying for an apartment lease. The platform doesn’t take into account self employed business owners. Very clunky process and you can tell that the apartment managers have a lot of trouble with the platform after many back and forth calls.

Mediocre! Nova Credits are only supported by Amex, who already let you transfer your creditscore in 2 ways without nova credit! Namely, by filling in your own foreign credit card number on the website when signing up and by using the global transfer program! Then you can also already build credit with the capitol one quicksilver secured creditcard!Then Verizon‘s deal of 80 dollar per month 5G isn’t exactly cheap! Then you can never use nova credit to ever get a mortgage!

Smooth and painless, I received an Amex CC after 15 minutes with an extra call to Amex. The Irony is I am a Canadian who has paid taxes and utilities on a home in the US for over 12 years and there was no US credit history on me. Even a major bank where I have had an account to manage this for all those years wasn’t able to help me get a card. The Canadian Credit rating companies are often owned by American firms and I am shocked those organization cannot or will not transfer info between the 2 counties.

I’m a Canadian moving to the US for work (in the process of getting a SSN). There’s a heck of a lot to do when moving, but getting a credit card turns out to be simple. I used Nova Credit to translate my Canadian Transunion credit score of 829 to a report that Amex understood. It was accepted, and Amex also required proof of address from my US bank. After that was provided, it approved me for the Amex Blue Cash Everyday credit card with $2000 credit limit. It’s not bad considering that I have no credit history in the US, and I’m happy to start building one.

Recently moved from England to the US. Saw the company being advertised on Facebook for me. And saw their forbes article as well from a few years back.I had a decent credit score back in England, and I ideally didn't want to start on beginners standard credit card here in the US, so took a risk and applied for one of the AMEX cards using Nova Credit. The selection was limited (mostly AMEXs), I think there was one other lower tier card though (Which I kept in mind incase the AMEX application wasn't successful). The process itself wasn't too bad, decently step-by-step. But everything went well, my score in England helped me get the AMEX card and I've been using it fine for a while now.

Worst experience ever with Nova Credit. Their "partners" wouldn't even use Nova Credit report to help with my finance. Westlake Financial said they saw no credit history on my profile and they could not use Nova Credit. They asked my dealership to pull my Nova Credit which is funny because how could the dealership have access to Nova Credit?Don't believe the bells and whistles from Nova Credit and they will only ruin your US Credit history if you trust them and go ahead with them. Their support team is hopeless. I did 3 enquiries and the only thing I got was the "we will get back to you within 1-2 business days" and they never got back to me!!!

Using Nova Credit allowed me to access an American Express credit card quicker than I otherwise would have been able to. The online process was easy and it only takes a couple of minutes. The one thing people should be wary of is: the verification of address step that American Express now requires. My application was held up for over 2 months, while I waited to get phone bills, utility bills, etc that had my US address on it. They wouldn’t accept something like a sublease agreement. This step is out of Nova Credit’s control, but something people should be aware of when they are moving!

Nova Credit is not a company is a brand, it's a financial helper for students. I came to the USA this fall 2023 and I am looking to take a credit card, but no company gave me a credit card without SSN. At that time I came to know about Nova Credit and I applied for an Amex credit card with nova and got instantly approved. I suggest all students who are presently in the USA or coming to the USA, must try Nova credit and get Amex card Thanks to Nova Credits

The way nova credit is helping students to get a credit card by creating clear awareness. I like the way it helped us out of all issues. I would like to be part of all the other programs which may come from Nova credit.Its easy to get a credit card. Just a call to Amex after submitting application, within 15 minutes the card is approved and in 2 days i received the card. Happy with its hassle free usage.

I recently moved to the US from Australia and one of the most important things once you arrive is to start building credit. I was able to get a credit card based of Nova Credit with American Express. It has also allowed me to provide confidence to agencies and landlords through the rental process. I would highly recommend as a way to establish yourself in the US.

I moved to US and had 10 years of credit history and an excellent credit score (820).Sadly in US no one really cares about the Canadian history and I applied few times and no luck.I was withAmerican Express in Canada but since I have not used My Amex there that much, I could not ask Amex for Global card transfer.I applied through Nova and finally got approved by Amex. Although the credit limit was quite low (1000 $ only) and compared to what I had in Canada Looks like a joke but at least a start.Thanks Nova for facilitating it!

Extremely useful way for a new arrival in the US to get a decent credit card and build a credit rating. Application very easy, decent range of credit cards (I recommend one of the Amex Blue cards)...and makes life a lot easier in terms of signing a lease for a flat/phone etc

I used this,service to obtain a US American express card. A card was issued as I have a great credit rating in Canada. Subsequently American express. Cancelled the card for no apparent reason . And followed up with requests for income statements and tax returns from Canada. I had assumed that this,service would have prevented that hassle.

A great business ideaThe process in getting your Nova Credit score and applying for a US credit card was really straight forward and easy to follow. It's a really great idea and acknowledges responsible credit users who have been living overseas. What's stopping me from giving 5 stars is that I wish it was more widely recognized, at the moment it's a very useful tool for building American credit but it would be even better if you could use it instead of an American credit score.

I was surprised there could be such a thing as ‘importing credit history from another country’. I recently moved to the US & Nova Credit helped me obtain a credit card within a day with no credit history in the US. I received an Amex card after Nova Credit sent my credit history of my country to Amex. Very innovative & was of great help to me.

Really frustrated. Did not work at all. You try to register at novacredit, it asks you basic questions about if you have a SSN / are you in US? But never asks about your other credit history in your country. Instead it gives you a list of credit cards associated with Nova (American Express) you might qualify for. It sends you to their webpage, and at NO POINT...did they ever ask me about my background credit history from Canada, even though I clicked "Foreign Credit History" earlier It says "Thank you for the submission, well let you know if you've been approved" So it's no wonder I got declined. Really absurd system.

It was a easy and quick experience using Nova Credit to get my American Express credit card approved based on my credit history in Brazil. I didn't believe I was going to get such a good credit card. I hope they can help more immigrants build their credit in US based on their native country history.

It works when things are simple and straight forward. Their Linking and Matching of records to the UK beureos are are not great, I out exceptional rating in UK but Novacredit did not find my record after living in UK for over 15 years !. It did work for my wife who lived in the country for 6 years

Used Nova to apply for a credit card in the US using my UK credit history (or so they say). Turns out that even though Nova did a hard pull to get my full credit history from the UK, the banks didn't even use it (I have this in writing). Amex just put me on the minimum credit limit anyway and ignored the Nova check -- total waste of time! AND Nova's hard pull has negatively affected my credit score.In response to reply below: I am in fact talking about American Express. They took the Nova report but didn't use it when determining credit limit, etc. So it was the same as if I hadn't bothered with Nova at all. Seems like one big data grab from Nova Credit, don't give them your info!
