Is markettaker.com Legit?

MTM professional and truly an outstanding training and education platform for one to learn Options. I began my journey with Dan’s book Trading Options Greeks, I then came across one of Dan’s training within another trainers library, which convinced me to also learn from Dan and his team his strategy. I was attracted to learning about Earnings Seasons and Volatility, Dan has done a great training for this, if you want those extra skills in your arsenal. I thoroughly enjoy my time with Dan and his elite team John and John, entertaining, fun and great humour. Thanks to all at MTM and fellow students. I am grateful to all at MTM.

Dan and John are true Professionals. They are very honorable and down to earth individuals who really care about their students. These Two Gentlemen, have traded for over 30 years, each, at the CBOE, their credentials speak for themselves. One great characteristic which each have, they are in no way, condescending or make you feel bad if you're "not getting it..." They teach the fundamentals and technicals but also, what I consider priceless, their real-world experiences, short cuts and other items/topics, a real-world-how-to, which they learned in the pits, over the years. These "secrets" are what they teach. Their knowledge and experience is top-notch. I highly recommend Market Taker Mentoring, if you want to learn anything and everything regarding the Option Market. Great people, honorable people and the best of the best in this niche.

Presentation could have been simpler and better. Live examples are too fast to follow, people in the chat were asking immediately for someone to post the trade idea on the chat.You need to pay for some service to get the details of the move for the last quarters, so that is a monthly expense. A simple software update on the website integrating any earnings website would have been better. If I had known all these, I wouldn’t have signed up. Thanks

I first found MTM thru the Options Bootcamp podcast which I highly recommend for any new person to options. From there I signed up for a few classes/instruction thru their website and am now taking one on one coaching. The pace is fast, but the volume of information is vast. These guys really encourage to trade with a system and money management in mind. They are not pie in the sky, but all about hitting singles and not striking out too many times. I highly recommend the MTM community for anyone wanting to progress in the options world.Russell

My issue is that I get promotions to seminars I have already attended in the past...like the Earnings one. I have trouble logging into some seminars, but Kathleen sets me straight. It is probably me that screws up. I attend the 3pm CT webinar with John S (excellent) but I wish it started at 1:30 pm so when the webinar ended, and we want to put on a trade as a result of view that day's webinar,...we'd have time to evaluate it an put it on. Now webinar ends when market closes.

I was anticipating that the TED coaching sessions would last more than one week. Obviously I hadn't read through the details of exactly what I would be receiving so I can't blame MTM. My only criticism of the coaching sessions is that there seemed to be very little time spent on how to set up software to generate the display of the two probability curves and what the parameters were, so I haven't been able to do that on my desktop. But a lot of other information has been made available, some of which I've taken in, the rest in due time. However, I did make use of what I learned to develop my own system, which so far is working very well. I've made 4 trades and exited with 4 gains, hope to keep it at 100% as long as possible. Bottom line, I was a little disappointed in the TED sessions, but all the other material made up for it, and I may have finally found a system that works for me.

Learning how to middle the market turned some of my trades from loser/break-even into winners, even if just a little bit. Sometimes making an extra 20% vs trading the mark.Learning about Vega and how it effects the long option helped a lot. If the long option drops too much in IV the higher Vega overrides the crush of the short option, so understanding how Vega works, makes it easier to pick the correct long expiration date to help in getting an extra edge on the trade.

Excellent people at MTM, and a tremendous source of information. Dan and John are easy-going and patient.These guys will teach you stuff that’s not easily found on Google or YouTube. Markettaker is a top notch options investor educator/ school. I recently had my classes with John Kmiecik at Markettaker. John is a veteran options trader and teacher. He did a great job using a bit or humor to teach a sometimes heavy subject. He also made himself available in the chat room and e-mail and his classes were archived daily in case you wanted to revisit his lessons. Potential trade candidates were made available daily and once a week time was devoted through quizzes related to understanding the option greeks, a very important concept in becoming a successful option trader!

it means a lot that you guys as an MTM team are so helpful with your customers. I'm constantly reaching out to friends and family telling them about Dan and the MTM team. And this is a perfect example of why you guys far surpass every other trading community on the planet!

The best way to learn is with the help of a mentor and I would find it difficult to believe that there are better mentors than the Johns (Kmiecik and Sequin) at MTM. In Group Coaching, the ability to see trade setups and then the thought processes that are necessary for managing the trade is invaluable. The 5 Biggest Mistakes Traders Make lessons(I think there were a total of 20-25) really helped me to identify the weaknesses in my trading (i.e. Holding out for max profit, Not allowing Support or resistance to hold before exiting) and work on improving them (still working on them). If you are serious about learning to trade options and are willing to invest the time, I would find it hard to believe there is a better place to start. Now, repeat after me, "I am a risk manager first. I am a risk manager first..."

I attended the Summer Summit put on by Market Taker Mentoring and it was clear that these guys know their stuff. They have years of experience trading options professionally and they teach in a down to earth, common sense way. I signed up for One on One Coaching and also got access to the excellent daily and weekly classes (Group Coaching, Daily Edge and Trade Smart Workshops). I had traded call and put options before but I struggled to make consistent profits. After only a few months of learning with MTM, I am making money trading spreads, properly managing my trades and limiting risk. I am learning the strategies and techniques I need to make money in any market conditions. Signing up for the MTM program was the best investment decision I ever made.

These guys are excellent teachers. There are many ways to trade options and there is something for every type of trader and situation. They teach you how to manage risk and how to be systematic in your approach, both of which are vital if you are to be a profitable trader. I've learned lots from them over the years and consider them to be pivotal in my success. No matter how much or little you know, they can help you find what works for you.

I have been able to become a better trader thanks to MTM. They have allowed me to better manage my positions by take smaller losses and to close out winners based on a plan. This is an investment that has returned many time it cost in winning trades.

I have been in group coaching for 2 years. John K. is a excellent instructor. With real examples during class you pick up on things you can't get only from a book. There were several, (many) times I wasn't getting a concept and then John would show something or say something a slightly different way and I would have my AH- HA moment.This coaching is mostly swing or short term trades. As such you don't get exposure to adjusting trades. As John K says, adjusting is just closing one trade and opening a new trade with your new assumptions. I like that he stresses proper trade management over everything and the need to have a trading plan with exits thought out ahead of placing the trade.

Dan is the real deal. He knows his options. I've traded options before but never calendar spreads as an earnings play. Payed for the Total Earnings Domination boot camp course just to check it out. Totally worth it. My first trade paid for the course. Continuing to do well. Dan's easy style teaching and straightforward steps made things logical on what to look for in an earnings candidate, how to open and when to close. That's it! I don't like things too complicated because I'm an attorney and I have other things on my mind as well. Glad I found him. Great guy. No bs.

I have been participating in the morning Group Coaching classes for several years and have found John Kmiecik's approach to be extremely valuable as a trader of options. I would highly recommend this service! More recently, I've been attending the Market Edge Classes and while the focus for this class has more to do with various equities and ETF's and the overall market trends, I have found John Seguin's perspectives very helpful and complement my overall approach to the markets and to option trading. The MTM team is clearly dedicated to teaching and the success of their students!

The course work is excellent, however the timing of live classes are not always convenient.

I learned a countless number of lessons, trading concepts, and really very detailed nuances of options trading that could only be learned over many years of trading options in a matter of months during my time as a student at Market Taker Mentoring. Dan is always available to his students and always willing to go over concepts during live classes in a simple and effective way if they aren't clear. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is willing to put in the time, effort and planning required to learn and apply these concepts
