intuit.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives intuit.com the absolute highest trust score on the platform: 100. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Safe. Secure. . We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this very high score? We came up with the 100 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to intuit.com's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Safe. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we label this website as secure and trustworthy. We explain this in more detail below.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning intuit.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between intuit.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of intuit.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of intuit.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. intuit.com is a secure website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether intuit.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether intuit.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, intuit.com.

“Intuit has the most convoluted support”
Intuit has the most convoluted support process of any company I have ever dealt with. It is painful to get in touch with a knowledgeable person. Any support call advice creates a need to contact support again to get further answers. We sadly recently switched to QBO and now are switching back to desktop and they have made this almost as unpleasant as when we went to QBO. If you have Desktop - stay with it - On Line is hard to navigate and doesn't do a lot of the things desktop does. We switched because the Sales department said payroll was being discontinued. That was not the case. Products used:Enterprise Diamond Service
“Biggest SCAM!”
They tried for months to get me as a customer. Reps were super nice, followed up etc. The day I signed up for Intuit for tax services, they stopped responding, would continue to charge monthly and no agent available to speak with. They are impossible! Now I keep getting a notification that my taxes have yet to be filed and the IRS is on my *ss. Stay far away from this company ad you can! They just take your money but don't provide the service promised! Products used:Tax Services Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Repairing outside door lock.”
Excellent service. Quick response to access problems with locking mechanism. Provided cost and delivery of faulty items. Returned on time agreed and fitted the required item's in efficient manner leaving work area clean and tidy. Would highly recommend Locked-on Locksmith Sevices Tip for consumers:No. See previous review. Service Value Quality
“Getting Rid of Quickbooks”
I learned my lesson years ago with Quicken online. At the end of the year you pay them for another year or the lock your Data up. I went to Quickbooks Desktop and upgrade every couple years. Obviously Intuit has control issues and now they've decided to force people to renew Desktop every year costing hundreds of dollars and forcing subscribers to pay any price intuit demands. This years I'm looking for Bookkeeping Software which will not hold me and my data hostage. Goodbye Intuit, you used to be the best software, you've now moved to the bottom of the barrel Tip for consumers:Go to another Booking software Products used:Quickbooks Service Value Shipping Quality
“Great long term value product”
Love the product and partners they have for both QBO and QBD, Tax1099.com is one such partner that saved my life during busy 1099 filing season. Keep bringing such value added partners to the eco system.
“Intuit made a big mistake by putting someone else's money in my account. When we tried to return it,”
Intuit made a serious mistake putting thousands of dollars of someone else's money in my account. When we tried to return it, they would not accept part of it, and charged us money for refunding the funds they had wrongly put in my account. Months later they began to call, email, and threaten us to pay them, but they did not provide an invoice or any explanation, and it was not even clear to us that the demand was not a scam. I called the investigator who had tried to sort this out, and was told they would sort this out. When I received more threats, I called the phone number on the email, twice, and was told I would get a call back, which never happened. Now they have sent the issue to collections, which they told me they would not do, and they are charging me an additional $500+ dollars. They are not only incompetent but not even attempting to rectify their serious mistakes. Tip for consumers:They are very careless with people’s money, and demand payment for things without providing an invoice. They do not return phone calls even though their site claims you should not wait on the phone and that they will call you back. If they make a mistake, they blame you even if they misplace thousands of dollars of someone’s money. Products used:Intuit merchant services Service Value
“I recently installed the most recent update to Quicken...”
I recently installed the most recent update to Quicken 2014. When I try to download transactions from a financial institution Quicken 2014 asks for my "Intuit Password." After I enter a password that should be correct and I get an error message, when I select the line "Forgot password," Quicken immediately terminates. Quicken as a financial program sucks. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell it is the only program available.
“I am running Quicken 2013”
I am running Quicken 2013. I am having difficulties downloading transactions. When I FINALLY got a phone number to call them (they make it very difficult), I was told I had to pay them to help me. I have already purchased the software, now they want me to pay nine dollars and some odd cents to have them support THEIR software? I have never heard of such a thing. This means they can purposely put a bug in the version I am running and make my pay them to help fix it. What a scam.
“Don't sign up for QuickBooks”
Do not use Quickbooks. On hold for 1h40m and they still cant activate my account. What a joke. The person helping me had to call the Billing department. She has been on hold for 30 minutes. Can you imagine waiting on hold for 30 minutes when you work at the company? What is going on? I paid for the service, but it's still saying inactive. They've already processed the $90/month payment, but now are working to get me on my account. Funny how they can process the payment so quickly, but then seem in no rush to re-activate the account. Meh, we'll get to it when we get to it. The ChatApp "person" wanted my SSN, so I ended that quickly. I've had nothing but problems since working with them. I intend to switch platforms in the near future. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Single member LLC”
As a single member LLC, Intuit should not have sold me a payroll package since single member LLCs are not required to run payroll. Additionally, when asked for a refund, Intuit flat refused. I feel #ripped off. Products used:Quick Books Payroll Service Value Quality
“So Disorganized They Don't Even Realize They Lost Us As A Customer”
You NEVER offshore your customer service department. Intuit did this and the results have been spectacularly disastrous. I won't waste your time here with all the details, but the short version is Intuit deleted our merchant account (not making this up, I swear). When I called to get it reinstated, they treated me as a new customer even though we'd been paying $10-15,000 a year in merchant fees for many years. They were only concerned with the Quickbooks Online subscription ($900 of revenue to them) instead of the much more valuable card processing piece ($10,000+ of revenue to them). So, after bouncing around from Habib to Muhammad to Prenatha to other various people for 90 minutes on the phone, they told me to go online and submit a ticket. I hung up and switched to Stripe, and was up and running within 20 minutes. Intuit still doesn't know they lost us as a customer. They consider it a win because 1) QB Online still works for us and 2) they didn't have to tell the Americans about the call. They may notice in a few months that we haven't run any revenue through their organization. But probably not. Tip for consumers:Stay away from companies that use offshore customer service teams! Products used:I wound up canceling services with them. They are so messed up they don't know they lost us. Service Value Quality
“INCOMPETENT, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!”
UNPROFESSIONAL WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I HAVE HAD A MERCHANT ACCOUNT FOR MANY YEARS. I CHARGED A CREDIT IN EARLY SEPTEMBER AND STILL IN MID DECEMBER HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY. EACH TIME I CALL TO FOLLOW UP ITS LIKE STARTING OFFER AND THEY ADD HOOPS FOR ME TO JUMP. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO AVOID GIVING ME MY MONEY, WHICH SEEMS STRANGE FOR SUCH A LARGE COMPANY. I HAVE SWITCHED TO SQUARE AND AM GLAD THAT I DID. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD. I EVEN REACHED OUT TO THEIR EXECUTIVES WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING. I HAVE GIVEN THEM EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND THEY DONT' SEEM TO CARE WHAT I THINK. Tip for consumers:DON'T USE THIS COMPANY FOR CREDIT CARD PROCESSING - THEY WITHHOLD THE MONEY FOR NO REASON AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO RESOLVE IT IS THE WORST - HOURS EACH PHONE CALL LIKE STARTING OVER EACH TIME. “Complete Rip Off!”
I purchased the product in store and tried to install it, it said the license didn't work and I needed to call in. I talked to the so called customer service rep and he said they disabled the license number and I needed to purchase it again. I asked why and they said they didn't know and they could do nothing else for me unless i purchased it again. DON'T DO BUSINESSES WITH INTUIT! Service Value Returns Quality
“Horrible and Difficult to Use”
I would like to file a complaint against Intuit. Namely the Merchant and Quickbooks online services. I have been a customer since 2015. Upon opening up my quickbooks online account they set me up for a merchant account. With the same company we had two other merchants accounts set up. I closed both recently to use the one I have had set up for years and never used. Once the two accounts were closed I tried to connect my merchants account to my quickbooks online service. As soon as I did that my merchant account was closed. I was assisted by a rep who had me sign up for another merchant account that was approved then closed right away when connecting to my quickbooks online and quickbooks checking account. These Intuit reps had me open 7 merchants accounts and was told this would be resolved. This has taken me 3 weeks and I still do not have a resolution. All the accounts opened up cost me an opening fee. All of my emails used to resolve this are 6 in total. I need this resolved. This makes no sense at all. To run a small business should not be this difficult because of the way big businesses treat the smaller business. This is abuse! I have had to call the business over and over. One call cost me 3 hours and 30min of my time. Products used:quickbooks online, merchant and checking account Service Value Returns Quality
“This is a total scam the websites are garbage and the...”
This is a total scam the websites are garbage and the 30 day free trail is not free at all as we speak I'm trying to recoup 230.00 they charged to my credit card overnight! Stay away from these scammers I've been waiting for 2 hours for someone to pick up on customer service NOTHING YET! STAY AWAY!
“Been using them for a while now for payroll and books”
Its a great software. Just did not like the fact that they closed W-2 efiling 2 days before the deadline.
“Intuit and Turbo Tax ignore problems of small individuals”
Despite my age, I take care of all financial matters by myself. For a number of years I had done my taxes on a paid Turbo Tax and never had any problems worth mentioning. That was about to change radically with my 2016 return, which I had reviewed only in my computer. The possible problems were three, whether I should submit a standard or a personal deduction (the program chose Standard without showing me the comparison), by how much I had underestimated the estimated taxes and finally, how to report the sale of an uncovered security. In all cases, the client has little choice but to blindly trust Turbo Tax extra (some $80). Let's forget item 1. Item 2' outcome was most surprising. I had been told by Turbo Tax to pay in cash an horrendous additional amount, but a few weeks later, an IRS agent sent me a check returning me an overpaid amount of $1,500 and a corrected calculation which I failed to understand. The reporting of the uncovered sold security was really bad. The amount of the sale had been properly enteres and a certain field marked x, but as my ulterior report showed, the report should have enclosed an additional numbered form, which it did not. Intuit misrepresents that it maintains competent postfiling internet support. It does not. The service was a poorly run open forum, unprotected and manned by people who in my case were of limited competence and had no access to the submitted Turbo Tax material nor to tax income return being investigated The software was embarrassingly poor, of the kind that freezes, sends you away or goes back to the beginning. It was difficult to find the individual postings of my case. One of the moderators sometimes intervened with sarcastic and uncalled for comments. I had expected that they would be able to review my return, but the moderators were outside people. They needed my password to go my papers and they did not know much more than myself. I suspect that a lawyer would be needed to get the company's attention. After the incident, I searched the Web for other criticism. Do you know What? Turbo Tax is used by hundreds of thousands of people, but I found it difficult to find critiques. Service Value
“Good software and apps platform”
Recently switched and loving it. Wish your new product Tsheets can do screen capture along with the time track.
“DO NOT USE INTUIT FOR PAYROLL SERVICES”
You can rely on the QBO Bookkeeping services but DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use their Payroll Services, you can not rely on this systems integrity, you can not rely on issue resolution. My account was hacked and $10k was stolen. I was given the run around until I finally gave up. I do not want anyone else to every go through this. I also delt with issues when trying to do Payroll amendments. The reps that take your requests only create a case for them, there is a seperate department for payroll resolution which is outside of the US. If the rep makes a mistake in the request it will be cancalled and you have to start over again, resolution takes 40-60 days. It will never be resolved. This company has no process for ensuring issues are resolved, there is no follow-up, there is no reaching out to the customer to ensure they understand the request. They will waste your time and energy. Very unprofessional. I do not want anyone else to ever have to deal with this. DO NOT USE INTUIT FOR PAYROLL SERVICES. Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a
fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
